It's here! It's here! Clair's first-ever (and, Lance hopes, last-ever) Pokemon Prom is here, coming to you straight from scenic Tohjo Falls! You've packed your bags, you've hitched your rides, and now you're taking your first steps in to a super swank palatial PokeManor where, prior to now, only the pseudo-legendary best of the best had ever tread. Gosh, that must make you pretty special, huh? (Well, you and everyone else in the massive crowd that arrived along with you, that is.) Of course, you're all destined for greatness. But at the moment, your more immediate destiny is forty-eight hours of fun.

☆ YOU ARE HERE ☆




KEY:

• BLUE areas are where the bulk of the party's events will be located! As you can see, the festivities will be taking place largely outdoors, and the grounds will reflect that; there'll be the usual decorations of pretty floral arrangements, little lights, things like that. Think garden party!
• GREEN areas are where guests will be staying overnight! Unfortunately, you'll be sleeping-bagging it up, since this is a house party and not a hotel party, but this is where you'll be given space to leave your possessions, claim some sleeping room, and generally crash for the night once the festivities do you in. (Note: you're welcome to try to sleep elsewhere, but Clair might catch you and disapprove. You don't want that, do you?)
• RED areas are unfortunately off-limits to guests! If asked about them, anyone will tell you that those are the rooms and areas that the Elite Four have claimed for themselves, and they're sealed off tight. Please don't try to break into them anyway; you'll only be caught and punished.

• AREA A is the designated Indoor Ballroom area, for the people who would prefer to class it up a little more than just your standard garden party. There's a big skylight, hardwood floors, tasteful artwork, and classy music — a little more upscale than the shenanigans going on outside, for the people who'd rather that kind of thing.
• AREA B will be the area of interest for anyone hoping to sneak a little Pokemon research on the side: this is the Library/Gallery area of the house. While most of it is your standard "tall shelves of ancient identical books" fare, there are a few points of interest — a sculpture of Lugia, a painting of the Ecruteak City skyline before the Brass Tower burned down, some stone etchings of what might be Fossil Pokemon, and so on. Guests are welcome to look around a little, but burying themselves in research the whole time will be highly frowned upon, and you'll be politely encouraged to leave the library alone and go rejoin the festivities if you hole up in there for too long.
• AREA C is...well, the Parking Lot. More importantly, it's where you take your Pokemon battles if you simply gotta get your battle on; keep it out and away from the house, please, and try not to make too much of a mess. Skirmishes, sorties, and sparring will be tolerated here and here alone. Do it anywhere else and you'll be facing some very displeased hosts.
• AREA D is the Elite Four's Trophy Room. Please be quiet and respectful if you come up here to have a look around; it's a solemn kind of place. Here you'll find various collections of badges, ribbons, awards, and trophies put on display, with one wall devoted to each member of the Elite Four. Of particular note is a glass case with a broken Ultra Ball mounted inside; the brass plaque attached claims it's the ball Lorelei was using when she almost caught Articuno. On a lighter note, there are also pictures of the Elite Four themselves — your standard Official Portraits™, sure, but also some framed candids of them in various configurations hanging out with their Pokemon and engaged in various activities around the house (Agatha making waffles, Lance and Bruno clowning around in the pool, stuff like that).

[The tiny lights are all aglow, the party is rocking, and the Water Pokemon are having their share of the fun in the pool as well! The refreshment table is well-stocked with a wide variety of Mom's Favorite snacks and a pair of punch bowls at either end, ready to accommodate any partygoers in need of a break and a quick bite. Go get your groove on!

Imogen, who would be harder to recognize if she wasn't grinning so gleefully at the entire set-up of outside, and wasn't flanked on both sides by Omen her Absol and Talent her Espeon, went to work setting her Pokemon to their enjoyment of the party. She was wearing a very fine dress she picked out just for this event. As well as a mask to add to the mystery of the evening. Her hair down with small braids, and none of her eccentric jewelry to give her away. And for those wondering, her contacts mean she can see without her glasses.

Of course, at this moment she was plainly obvious... and a little odd, as she had a saddlebag thrown over her shoulder. Letting her team out, and helping them put on their accessories. New sunglasses for Wartortle, a wreath of flowers for a Treecko, a bowtie for her Espeon, and putting the saddlebag on Rapidash. The Absol refused to wear any sort of decoration, and Wildfyre would rather have nothing, but she knew she had to keep some items of Imogen's safe.

And with a brief hug to each one most of the Pokemon ran off, the Absol being a bit reluctant. And once that was done Imogen started skipping around the garden humming... with an Espeon pacing her easily.

[Sometimes you just need a break. That's what Shiraishi was thinking when he walked out of the ballroom and into the garden. He had his Roserade and Chikorita following him around, others staying inside their balls.

He's enjoying the evening air by sitting on one of the benches and watching the Pokémon play around.]

"Sunshine, wait!" Kanaya trailed after her roselia, who was barreling across the open area of the gathering, only to take a running leap into the pool. The little plant pokemon vanished from sight for what felt like an eternity before she bobbed to the surface, splashing happily in the water. Kanaya paused far enough from the edge of the water that she wouldn't get any splashed on her dress, and reached up to adjust the zubat mask she was wearing. She hadn't intended to wear one, but Aradia had seemed so caught up in the whole prom idea it had been easier to simply give in.

She gestured to Sunshine, and the pokemon splashed her way over to the edge of the pool. "Five minutes," she stated pointedly, and though it looked like the roselia was going to object, she finally bobbed her head in agreement and turned away, splashing off into the middle of the pool.

Kanaya had to force herself to look away, because she could let the little pokemon take care of herself for a few minutes, right? Without worrying? Maybe, anyway. And instead she looked out at the crowds outside. If she was stuck here waiting for her, she could at least find someone to speak to for a few minutes, at least.

As she waited, Shimmer, her shiny ninetails, settled onto the ground next to her, wrapping her long silver tails loosely around Kanaya's legs, and the former troll leaned down to give her a scratch behind the ears before she returned to her survey of the various people.

[ is there a pretty lady? there are lots of pretty ladies actually and while Joonhee doesn't care there is a very happy Murkrow that may be whistling at every pretty girl they walk by from behind Joonhee's head until he turns sharply and does the whole pointy finger, unimpressed stare. ]

One more time and you're going back into the pokeball. [ it's probably not the first time he's used that threat. Tantan hisses at his trainer. just let him flirt with all the pretty girls! ]

[ food and drink is a good place to start, right? Joonhee makes his way to the refreshments table with his Xatu and Ferrothorn, the rest of his team having wandered off to explore on their own.

he takes a sip of the spiked punch and looks at his cup oddly. ]

Ah... [ and then he keeps drinking it, whatever he's old enough! though if anyone who looks too young approaches the spiked punch bowl he'll direct them to safe beverages. Yoonjae whistles at him, demanding a sip of the punch. ]

...is it okay for you to drink this? [ he looks at his cup and then at Yoonjae. can pokemon have alcohol? ]

[ the music in the garden is a lot easier for Joonhee to dance to than what's going on inside the ballroom so he's doing just that. besides there's a lot more space too, it makes dancing with a Ferrothorn a lot less potentially dangerous. have you ever seen a Ferrothorn shuffle dance?

...well you have now. at least that's probably what Dulie's trying to do. she's doing her best to imitate her trainer, even if it's a bit hard with her obvious lack of legs! like a good supportive trainer Joonhee is cheering her on! ]

Woo! Dulie! [ at least it seems like they're having fun. (no, he's not drunk. he's just relaxed.) if someone watching looks like they might want to join Joonhee will wave them over. just watch out for the spiky disks attached to Dulie's vines. ]

[Steve is taking a moment to be outside, and admire the beautiful surroundings. He's wearing a Suit he got just for this event, having missed his prom so many years ago he wanted to really wanted to dress for the occasion. Grace, his Riolu, is glued to his side, staring at the Pokemon in the water, seeming to assess their every move, while Amber, his Eevee, is draped across his shoulder like usual happily wearing his Mask. Neither like their Pokeballs and other people seem to have their Pokemon out and about, so Steve doesn't worry too much about it.

He picks at a few snacks, sampling things he has yet to have yet and shares any Pokemon ones with his two girls.]

[Having escaped any and all people who have been after her to get her to dance, Jane all but hides out by the refreshment table. Dressed in something simple, but bright, she balanced a plate in her hand while munching quietly on some crackers. Overall, the party was nice and it did feel nice to dress up like this, but it just isn't.... her thing. Jane feels all sorts of out of place still, even if she blends in.

It doesn't help that her glasses got confiscated and a pretty matching bird-like mask planted on her face. Sure, it pulled the outfit together and made her feel like she was in disguise, but she was sorely missing her mustaches.]

[Harry is a self appointed chaperone for the party/it's the only reason he'd come to one of these things. Lisa the Togetic is sitting on his shoulder as they stand near the refreshment table. He's not really dressed up, but he found a tie. That counts right?

Keeping an eye out in case people get any ideas of spiking punch or things like that.]

*Is the cry that come from the horrified butler as a Tentacruel suddenly appears in middle of it, tentacles exploding outward this way and that as it lets out a bellowing Tennnnnnnta tenta tentaaaaa laugh as he reaches for anyone he can get his hands on.

Namely he immediately grabs Hayate's leg and drags him over the pool to hang him upside down so he can't return him right away.*

[Already being worn out from the crowd and noise of the ballroom, GYM LEADER SABRINA can be found outside, keeping to herself as she sits near the pool in a lounge chair. With her Espeon's head resting in her lap, she is content to watch the Water Pokemon go about their playing together.

Yet despite distancing herself from the main party, she hardly looks unapproachable. In fact she might even appear as if she is expecting someone to come speak to her.]

Stupid goddamn bowtie. Carter, dressed in a rented suit, yanked on the thing to try to get it straight. The one around his Mareep's neck was easy, but something about the angle here...ah, forget it. He wasn't wearing a mask because those were stupid.

He was out by the pool, keeping an eye on everybody else since he'd agreed to that other cop's idea to chaperone. The Petilil had insisted on coming, too, but she'd calmed down some since the day she'd been dropped on his doorstep. She was down by the pool, trailing a leaf in the water. She was in a tiny little white dress. Blake had no idea they even made those for little onion-bulb things. Or bipedal dogs.

After being pestered through mime and "Snubbull, snubbull!" and "Ilil?" for a while, he'd figured out what they wanted, given them some money and told them to go to town. They'd come back with that and the red one Steve Buscemi was wearing. She'd spent a damn hour in front of the mirror fiddling with the bow around her ear. Now she was scampering around, wide-eyed, trying to talk to everybody at once.

"Girls, McNulty," Blake sighed, patting the Mareep's wool.

[ it's a party. of course Hitachiins are going to show. well, at least this one is. his attire for the garden party is a bit more casual. one can't wear the same thing to a garden party and then be ready to dance in a ballroom later. oh no no no. that's just not done.

he'll sweep everyone off of their feet later. right now it's a little more relaxed.

Kaoru's Cinccino is on the left and a Liligant on the right. at the moment he's giving them some snacks of their own and complimenting them on their cuteness. how can he not? they are pretty gosh darn adorable. of course he might be judging the quality of said food. ]

[Okay, so maybe GYM LEADER JASMINE's not quite so, um...well, glamorous as some of the other Gym Leaders present, but that doesn't mean she's not looking pretty cute in her own right with a nice dress and little shrug over to keep things a bit more on the modest side. She's been bouncing between the ballroom and the garden party a fair amount tonight, but the garden party's been winning out more often than not — partly because it has that lovely table of Mom's Favorite snacks, and partly because it has perkier music.

And, well, partly because if she hangs around in the ballroom too much, WHITNEY might start pestering her to go ask LT. SURGE to dance again, and...

W-Well, anyway, she's having plenty of fun outside! She's more on the outskirts of the dancing than she is in the middle of the crowd, but she's tapping her toes and bobbing her head along, just as merry as anyone else.]

[ getting Sora into formal wear. ha ha ha. yeah, that's not likely to happen. it's like taming his hair... nearly impossible because within a few seconds everything is chaos again. but hey... a good, clean blouse and a pair of khaki shorts is a start, right?

though he's getting close and closer to the water. sure enough, Sora is sitting at the edge, pulling his shoes off, and splashing the various water pokémon with kicks of water.

of course they start splashing back.

[Carrying a mini plateful of bacon bites and chomping away at them, Vanitas occasionally repassed the table to make his next round, half the snacks getting passed behind him where his Scrafty and a little blond haired boy followed him along; if anyone tried to talk to the kid, they are met with a mute chitter and sly smile.

Aka, Rue felt like blending in more than necessary, but Vanitas couldn't get him to stop turning into different people, so this was the compromise. Care to discuss his bad eating choices?

Literally everything on the plate has bacon or some other junky, salty snack on it.]

[Dimitri has wandered out here to admire the beautiful scenery in the garden, despite the music not exactly being to his tastes. His suit is straightforward but quite classy, and he has his signature rose corsage tucked into the breastpocket. His hair is tied in a low ponytail with a black ribbon. A shiny Magnemite constantly hovers around him, curiously watching whatever it is Dimitri's doing at the time.]

[He can be found roaming around the plants and checking them out, or sampling some of Mom's snacks at the snack bar: "Hm, this one would go excellently with a cup of tea," you may hear him muse to himself.]

[He did come to this party to socialize too, so he'll engage in some conversation if anyone looks particularly bored or lonely.]

It is a true treat to be able to observe such a place, isn't it? It is truly unlike anything I have seen in this world thus far. The Elite Four are quite generous.

[Here comes Perona and her cute outfit. She even made the parasol and the weird plush bear. The plush bear she held remained close like a jewel or gold. She was accompanied by her Gengar and Vulpix by her sides.

Gengar had a mini bow just under that grin. It wouldn't surprise Perona if Gengar snapped his fingers at some girls. Yes, this Pokemon was a flirtatious one. If Vulpix could roll her eyes, it would be constant. She would even shoot a couple flames to the ghost pokemon to make it behave.]

[Taking a break from inside, a certain suit wearing ninja can be found hovering around the snack table, the mask pushed up and resting on the top of his head as he is piling a plate full of food and stuffing some into his mouth.]

[It's quieter in the garden. Dave finds himself sticking it more often than the ballroom. He's never been one for fancy. It just isn't his bag of fun. So here he is, moving at the edges of things and just taking a break with a drink he made absolutely sure wasn't spiked.

Maybe it's against party rules to be in a tailored suit and not socialize, he doesn't know. He's got a lot on his mind since the concert. It reopened his eyes to all the things he had wanted to grow up and do. So what if they're only here for a short term or whatever, he could take a crack at a few of them.

He'd only brought his eevees with him - Nicki the Leafeon, and his newer one he was letting evolve on her own.]

[Well, after wandering around the grounds a bit, Riku's decided to hang tight out by the poolside. He ducks a few times while his shades-toting Blastoise splashes about, determined to get everyone's attention per the norm. But while tortoise sitting is probably the responsible move, he soon wanders off. Zen's tough; she can handle herself.

Really, though, the palms and general resort environment remind him of home. People may spot him hanging below one of the palm trees every now and then or exploring the outdoor turf. Oh, and he's dressed rather snazzily and also is older than his icons indicate. At age 18, he's about six feet tall. Treeku.]

[Oh boy. There's only one nimrod with a laugh that boisterous, over the top, and loud. Cue Bowser entering the party clad in a stylish white tux. He's got his hair slicked back and his jagged teeth look extra shiny today.

He's joined by a Wartortle in strange clothes chilling on his shoulder as well as a stomping Torterra, a snickering Granbull, and a Marowak silently surveying the area... just to name a few. He's probably got others romping about. In fact, after Bowser and his cronies shovel some snacks down their throats, the Pokémon break off in different directions.

Now, what kind of awesome schemes can he concoct here?

[[Rose is hanging out mostly near the snack table, her sweet tooth demanding to be satiated. She's wearing this little number, her hair carefully pinned up and no mask to be found. John couldn't wear one, so she figured it'd only be fair that she sacrifice her own as well.

Out and about are an Espeon who is watching after a little shiny Eevee, the former in a sort of gold cape type gown made for her, the latter in a cute little blue bowtie. There's a Glameow in tuxedo-esque jacket that is actually trying to socialize!! (But kind of failing). There's a shiny Dunsparce with a polkadot bow tied around her tail enjoying the sun shelf, an incredibly cool Quagsire with his shades hanging out in the pool, and a dapper looking Lucario that isn't straying too far from his master slash girlfriend. (Rose is hoping he'll meet someone nice.)]]

Ludwig was basically out here so that he could enjoy the party with his Pokemon. He didn't want them making a ruckus inside (not that anyone but Funke the Growlithe was really the kind to do so). Sturm the Electabuzz (newly evolved!) stood right next to him, arms folded in one of his trainer's signature poses. Ozean the Wartortle and Boden the Grotle stayed together as they plodded around the area, while Funke zipped around the place as fast as he could. Erde the Onix was not out of her Pokeball on account of being too big and having something of a temper.

Ludwig was actually enjoying himself a bit, liking the music and the open atmosphere. Maybe he'd meet some other trainers here...

[...Okay scratch that he's wearing a suit. A simple black suit, though it has tails.

Ryner, for his part, is hanging out on the outer edge of things, occasionally drifting over to the food table for something to munch on and mostly just pretending to be more interested in watching what other people are doing than actually participating (though in reality he'd seriously rather spend more time in the library). He's not wearing a mask of his own, though he is holding a relatively simple black one with some red sequin and bead work.

His Absol sits next to him, probably more genuinely interested in watching the crowd than his papa, though with his stoic attitude it can be hard to tell.]

[Atsuro's definitely at the party, sticking to the outdoor garden party. He prefers the music and atmosphere here over the indoor party's more formal one.

He watch his Pokemon play around, keeping an eye on them with Lady the Ledian by his side. Antec, his beloved starter and Lanturn, is playing in the pool.]
