Who: EVERYONE who wants to participate!
Where: Violet City
When: Dec 1st, 3rd, 4th. Basically, four days of parties and cake because why skip the 2nd!
Summary: It's too many peoples birthdays at once. Jake and Jade on the first, Dave on the third, Rose and Roxy on the fourth. THERE WILL BE CAKE. THERE WILL BE HATS. THERE WILL BE GIFTS! There will also be screaming because the music in Violet City sucks.

It's only when the last of the decorations is being placed, the last cake that one of Jake's friends made is brought out, and the last few meal trays are set in the dining section, that Cheria rolls down her sleeves and wipes her forehead. It was a little tough getting it all together for more than just one person, but overall, it paid off! The building she rented is big enough, and since it was for four days instead of the one, the renters gave her a discount and full use of the kitchen; just so long as nothing is broken, or at least gets replaced.

There were signs in each corner over tables as to where people can put gifts for each individual, but that really is all there is for separating guests. There's a table out by the back doors with Pokemon food, and a safe, fenced in area for smaller ones to play in; as well as board games, decks of cards, and various other games and toys scattered about the place. Really, the actual toys are more for Pokemon that won't leave their trainers. Twister is set up near the drinks, and there's a small dance floor, and while there isn't much for music or anyone to flip cds, Cheria will take that task on unless someone thinks of something better.

It is so time to open the doors.

[Guess what, Dave? You get a carving, too! This one is a dove rather than a crow. The details are in bright orange and looks like it's caught in a moment of sereneness. There's a note under the bird.]

I wish dirk could be here to wish you the same but ill wish you one again in his stead.
Anyway i thought you might like to have a reminder that your brothers always with you no matter where you are so i carved this bird for you and a crow for when dirk arrives.

[He picks up the dove and runs his fingers over the carving marks. It's a gift that too time to make and he can appreciate that. Cool kids don't smile. But he does just a little. Dave finds Jake among the crowd and nudges him in the side. Then he offers his fist for bumping. Don't leave him hanging man.]

[And then the mun left him hanging for three days on accident-- Jake is happy to fistbump, thanking his lucky stars he actually knows how to do this thanks to those rare times Brobot was in a docile mood.]

[This here calls for a cool kid cake! She at least knows the sunglasses he wears, so Dave gets a nice set of cakes that make up the shape of those glasses. Red velvet with cream cheese frosting, anyone? Crocker specialty!]

[Holy shit. He has idea how John could have an adversion to cake. This stuff is great. He wolfs down his slice of cake and will later eliminate any left overs. The Strilalonde siblings share a sweet tooth in common. He'll track down Jane and laugh.] Okay, you've convinced me. Your family has the best super power in existence. I can see why Crocker baking is reknowned. I am a believer. All hail the mighty fingers that make the kitchen theirs.

[Giggling and smiling brightly, she playfully pretends to flex the muscles she doesn't really have.] The mighty spoon and gracious taste buds thank you for the hailings, young man! [She'll open her arms and offer a hug now.]

[ Dave gets a shirt that has a potentially worse pun than Rose's: "You're kinda slowbro", where slowbro is an image of a...Slowbro.

[He ducks into a bathroom and changes into the shirt. Yes. This is hilarious and perfect. Later Aradia is graced by the time knight. He noticed the pokemon egg had hatched.] Hey cool, it hatched. Thanks for the shirt, man. This is just perfect.

Yes! The other day, actually. [ And Dave will get a smile. ] You're welcome! Although it was probably more appropriate last weekend. [ ...Or she vaguely remembers time power conversations, anyway. ]

[[Dave gets a sentimental pair of mittens, red with a cuff color schemed blue-red-green-purple. He gets a similarly colored scarf.

Along with this is a "Sister's Coupons" book. Basically filled with those little coupons like "one free coffee on me" which are brother-sister themed.

[The mittens and book are tucked safely away in his pack. He wraps the scarf around his neck. It's warm and just the right amount of weight to hardly bother him. He walks along finding Rose when he finds her.] Interesting color scheme. Just in time too. Wouldn't dream of hanging out in a cafe without the right weather gear.

Not unpleasant, I'd hope. And yes, I know. Why do you think I made sure to make you a set?

[ Roxy barely knows this cool kid (besides knowing he's Dirk's bro mini-ified), so getting him a gift was a pain and a half. Firstly, though, she'll find him and make sure he has on on a red party hat because party hat. For an ACTUAL GIFT, a red sweater. It's kind of a monstrosity and fluffy and who even knows where Roxy found it. It also has white pom-pom fluffy things stuck to it. Since an ugly as all get out sweater is a terrible gift, he also gets a long-sleeved shirt with a ponyta on it. ]

[By now, Dave is at the turntables being his own party's dj. He enjoys it, and it's his birthday damn it. He'll do what he wants. The visit is met with he setting a set on then straightening up to give her his full attention.] Hey, how's it going Roxy?

[Since "crafty" is unfortunately not a word that describes John in the sense of "fun artistic things that you can give as presents," (or, arguably in the sense of clever mischievousness) he had to go the commercial route. In keeping with tradition, Dave will find John's gift inside a blue box.]

[It's a camera. But not just any old camera, no. No, Dave, you deserve one of those really high end SLR ones. The kind that John has no idea what half of the functions do or how it's supposed to work or what lens does what and he had to have some help in the store picking it out. He even got you a case for it, red of course.]

[There are no words when Dave opens the box and finds the camera inside. He studies it, taking it out of the box and immediately switching the default lens to one that would get the best shots at the party. He loads the film and sets up the case.

He'll be seen around after that, slightly apart at times as he draws back to get pictures of people. Randomly once of his feet. The lights, and naturally John gets nudged before Dave snaps a quick shot of his face if he turns around.]

[And of course, he does turn around and Dave gets a super attractive shot of a slightly bewildered John eating a chip. Yeah, that's definitely one to save for the scrapbooks. Real winner of a photograph. He nearly chokes when his brain catches up to what's going on, spluttering and coughing a little as he tries to finish the chip.]

[ ever thought about riding on a dinosaur, Dave? well you might have to wait awhile to find out, but that's kind of what Karkat's gift entails. it's a Cranidos egg. no ribbons or anything like that because they are guys and why would Karkat go to that sort of length for Dave Strider?

this is another egg he is just trying to discretely tuck into a place where Dave would know it's his. because god, this is embarrassing. ]

[Wow. The egg once it's found is relocated to a safe spot and a little impromptu nest made for it out of a coat and scarf. Dave can be seen checking on it during the party and once he's on the turntables, on his breaks. He does run into Karkat later, while he's drinking a bottle of water.] Hey, how's it going? Besides the party in general.

[ Karkat, naturally, is stuffing his face with cake. sweet tooth, shhhh. he acknowledges Dave with a nod before answering. ]

Just wondering how I get myself into this sort of mess. Or, rather, when I actually started participating in these sorts of things of my own volition.

[Jade knows how much Dave likes music, of course, so she got him a sweet pair of high-fidelity headphones! In red and black, of course.]

[Oh sweet! He finds her later, he'd used his new headphones while being a dj earlier. Dave offers Jade a slice of the cake Jane made as he nods.] Hey, thanks for the headphones. Now I can jam where ever I go in pokeland.
