breeder's con; (OPEN)
WHO: BREEDERS and other interested parties
WHERE: Goldenrod City, near the Breeding Centre
WHEN: February 15~16
SUMMARY: Breeder's Con!! Come sell eggs, goods, breed with strange pokemon you never met before, talk about shinies or egg moves, and all that jazz! Just don't mind that the decorations look like they belong at a Valentine's Day party
RATING: PG (will edit if it amps up more)
LOG:
[ When it came to parties with little purpose such as holidays, Saber found herself often struggling with creativity. Organizing a makeshift "bazaar" however was a thing a king can do and so she did. Not that she was experienced in the matters of the market, but from the stance she took as royalty during her reign, prosperity flourished within Britain so that was reason enough to feel justified in what she was doing. While the Breeding Centre wasn't nearly large enough to host a grand event, there was still enough space with the careful arrangement of tables and chairs to accommodate a larger population than the building was used to. Most of the loose Pokemon were placed away (even the murderous Scyther) and the place was decorated in various shades of red and pink.
Nero was going to love that, wasn't she? Saber thought about adding a touch of blue, but it didn't really seem to fit the theme.
For those who may be a bit more antisocial or have things they wish to trade or sale that were too large to keep indoors, there were a few tables set up in the yard under makeshift coverings from tarp. Not the most attractive job, but Saber isn't going to force people who might be wary of large crowds. Indoors, there's plenty of warm refreshments and a hot chocolate bar. All of the unoccupied rooms of the Breeding Centre have little signs hanging from the door knob just in case anyone wants to give their mons a bit of privacy too. How considerate! ]
Catch all log for the Breeder's Con. Feel free to make your own threads, mingle or otherwise. Just state in the subject if they're open or closed for the convenience of others. Feel free to gossip about the rampage or even the garden party that took place the day before. Thanks♥

At one table, a Weavile sits with a cup of tea, occasionally flipping through a magazine. A Shiny Charizard lumbers back and forth, scratching her neck, whimpering, though the other Charizard accompanying her seems to quell any anxiety on her part. A Lucario occasionally appears, waving people over to the stand. Otherwise, Riku's overly eager Scizor takes the job, trilling and shrieking and snapping her claws!
Sometimes Riku sends out a Gliscor and Toxicroak-- they are rare species after all, or allows his Zoroark to pull of illusions.
Riku will do his best to greet visitors and share his wares. Just... don't mind if that Weavile tries striking a conversation. He kinda talks.]
[ooc: There are still lots of eggs, so even if you haven't grabbed one yet, feel free. :)]
no subject
He's actually rather interested in the Toxicroak. He's usually a poisonous plant otaku, but lately he's been interested in poison-only Pokémon as well. He checks the frog with his Pokédex. Hmm.]
That's an interesting Pokémon...
no subject
Riku, in the mean time, wanders over with a smirk.]
Sure is. Poison/Fighting and with the ability Dry Skin if you're lucky. Might add a bit of a fire weakness, but the healing in rain and from water moves more than makes up for it.

I take it you have eggs for it's pre-evolutio... Croagunk?

She looks through the eggs and their labels. Hmmm. Some of those she has either from you or from someone else, some of those she's not interested or doesn't admit being interested... But hey, dragons. Dratini would be nice, maybe later if it still feels like a nice choice. Bagon? Yes that sounds good, maybe.]
Bagon's the one who jumps off cliffs and other high stuff everywhere every day, right?
[Or something like that. That dragon who's trying to fly without wings anyway.]
no subject
[Because Salamence is a powerhouse, okay?]
no subject
Well, I never say no to a giant, flying dragon anyways, so I guess I could take one of those.
[Oh, look she's trying to sound polite, kind of. It's better than saying give that to me right now.]

[The Absol that's tagging along beside Sollux looks much more amazed than he does -- after all, Sollux can read the sign. Riku. Yeah, he'd have a lot of them. So he just casually flips through the labels, eyebrows rising higher and higher as he does.]
AX, come help me with these.
[The Absol pads over and looks at the labels in his hand.]
Tyranitar or Gliscor?
no subject
[He leans back in his seat, half tempted to call Deathclaw out for an appearance.]
Gliscor's got rock-hard defenses and versatility on its side, while Tyranitar wrecks pretty much everything it touches. One's gotta watch out for ice, the other Fighting types.

Hey! You're the amazing speaking Weavile, aren't you?
no subject
Ah, good to see I've made an impression.
[Cue an eyeroll from Riku. Silly Slash. Even his Lucario rubs at her temple. Here he goes now...]
Though your Servine seems to disagree.
no subject
Still, she couldn't help but let out a bit of surprise as she sees how many eggs and stuff that Riku's stand had. Just... wow. Maybe she should start actually letting her pokémon breed... but well, first she needed to get stronger.
And actually, talking to Riku was probably the smartest thing she could do for that.]
Hi Riku. How've you been?
no subject
[He sighs, pressing his cheek against one of his palms.]
How about you? Hope your Valentine's day wasn't as awful as mine.

Hey--woah!! Look at all these eggs!
[ She is marveling at the sheer quantity of eggs available!! ]

While Riku rearranges the egg pile, his Weavile leaps onto the table, clears his throat, and prepares to wow this complete stranger.]
Ah, yes! What a remarkabuwarl cyutch! And at yyylllow prices, you simply can't go--
[And that'd be Riku's glove muffling the rest of his words.]
Hey, what can I say? My team knows how to keep my hands full.
[More than his hands, given the size of some of the eggs.]
