breeder's con; (OPEN)

WHO: BREEDERS and other interested parties
WHERE: Goldenrod City, near the Breeding Centre
WHEN: February 15~16
SUMMARY: Breeder's Con!! Come sell eggs, goods, breed with strange pokemon you never met before, talk about shinies or egg moves, and all that jazz! Just don't mind that the decorations look like they belong at a Valentine's Day party
RATING: PG (will edit if it amps up more)
LOG:

[ When it came to parties with little purpose such as holidays, Saber found herself often struggling with creativity. Organizing a makeshift "bazaar" however was a thing a king can do and so she did. Not that she was experienced in the matters of the market, but from the stance she took as royalty during her reign, prosperity flourished within Britain so that was reason enough to feel justified in what she was doing. While the Breeding Centre wasn't nearly large enough to host a grand event, there was still enough space with the careful arrangement of tables and chairs to accommodate a larger population than the building was used to. Most of the loose Pokemon were placed away (even the murderous Scyther) and the place was decorated in various shades of red and pink.

Nero was going to love that, wasn't she? Saber thought about adding a touch of blue, but it didn't really seem to fit the theme.

For those who may be a bit more antisocial or have things they wish to trade or sale that were too large to keep indoors, there were a few tables set up in the yard under makeshift coverings from tarp. Not the most attractive job, but Saber isn't going to force people who might be wary of large crowds. Indoors, there's plenty of warm refreshments and a hot chocolate bar. All of the unoccupied rooms of the Breeding Centre have little signs hanging from the door knob just in case anyone wants to give their mons a bit of privacy too. How considerate! ]

Catch all log for the Breeder's Con. Feel free to make your own threads, mingle or otherwise. Just state in the subject if they're open or closed for the convenience of others. Feel free to gossip about the rampage or even the garden party that took place the day before. Thanks♥

Of course, they might not all be pleasant.

Already they haven't all been. Some of them have just sucked. But... the better ones have made it worth it, so far anyway.

A positive average is already a great victory.

Guess that's true.
paladinlost: (err)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2013-08-29 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
...As long as you can maintain it, of course.
tearsofademon: (the poor and downtrod)

[personal profile] tearsofademon 2013-08-29 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, that's the hard part...
paladinlost: (thoughtful)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2013-08-30 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Staying away from strange powerful golems and other legendaries should help with that.

[personal profile] tearsofademon 2013-08-31 06:47 am (UTC)(link)
To an extent, anyway. Sometimes the worse ones aren't legendary at all.
paladinlost: (flowy)

Those would be easier to defeat, in theory.
tearsofademon: (and some say)

[personal profile] tearsofademon 2013-09-02 01:12 am (UTC)(link)
Depends what they're up to.
paladinlost: (err)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2013-09-05 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
...And how many they are.
tearsofademon: (when our tale was begun)

[personal profile] tearsofademon 2013-09-05 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
Even one can be a nuisance, depending.
paladinlost: (sighing)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2013-09-07 08:51 pm (UTC)(link)
I can hardly argue that.

[Grimers. Ugh.]
tearsofademon: (awakes to the bells)

[personal profile] tearsofademon 2013-09-08 05:05 am (UTC)(link)
[Grimers, Zubats, Yamasks, ghosts in general...]

Ahh, most of them are all right, though.

Barring a few less pleasant individuals, of course. There's one for every species.
tearsofademon: (but suddenly an angel has smiled at me)

[personal profile] tearsofademon 2013-09-10 08:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah. And even the bothersome ones can be all right when you get to know them...
paladinlost: (err)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2013-09-12 10:45 pm (UTC)(link)
That can take a very long time, however.

[personal profile] tearsofademon 2013-09-14 05:35 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, and it's generally more of a pain to try than to leave them alone. Just not saying it's impossible, is all.
paladinlost: (sighing)

[personal profile] paladinlost 2013-09-15 07:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Even if it was impossible, people would still try it, as a personal challenge.
