Summary: Tenten turned the Ponyta around after much finagling and managing of friends/resources got the Fly HM and is swooping into Violet City to nab her other big brother/friend person she knows, 17. Before he's dino-bait. :|

No, seriously. All this time to ride from Violet to Olivine, only to find that Lightning had the HM the whole time, and then Joonhee sending Yoonjae... Either way, she was giving the borrowed Xatu a rest, instead coming in low over Violet on Jinwu the Murkrow in an attempt at stealth. Hair back in a ponytail, forehead protector nowhere to be seen, she landed in a deserted street, taking note of the address before grabbing her 'gear to text 17 and let him know just what intersection she was at. If he didn't come meet her, she'd start banging down doors. The gist of the message, once she'd transmitted it over filter?

A while after he sent his reply, 17 can be is seen on the road. Blue had to rest after a certain ninja made the poor horse overwork. Honestly he didn't see the big deal with that post. 17 yawns after giving a wave to the ponytail girl? Is she really that serious?

Why yes, she is that serious. A brief flash of light as she tugged a Pokéball out and released Feng, the Skarmory giving 17 a look. Oh, the razorbird was more than aware of the circumstances putting his trainer in danger.

"Get on Feng. We're clearing out of here before someone decides to take you up on your stupid challenge."

Oh, he saw the look from Feng and it doesn't phase him. Now he looked at Tenten. "I didn't make that post just to run away Tenten. Go back with your friends."

"I didn't even get there." That five-minute stop in Olivine didn't hardly count before she was in the air again. Without having slept for nearly a full day, she's exhausted, and her patience is at its limit. "Think of it like a chase or something, okay? Any city in Johto, I'll drop you off there. Come on, please?"

"Fine, fine. Wherever is fine," Seventeen waved his hand followed with a sigh. "Honestly, I don't see what the big deal is." He walked up to Feng ready to jump on top of the steel bird.

"The big deal is I don't want you getting hurt because of me." She growled out a sigh and waited for him to climb on. Feng she trusted not to go off in any random direction -- Jinwu, not so much. As soon as 17 was on, she leapt atop the Murkrow, a gesture to Feng causing him to lift off and follow her.

"How about Ecruteak? I was there a couple days ago, nice place."

17 didn't argue with the thought of Ecruteak. Anywhere didn't matter. When they taken off, 17 hung on to Feng. It was nice to feel the wind against his face again when they taken flight. 17 leered back to Tenten demused after he heard her answer, "don't be stupid. You're blaming yourself for something you didn't do. The only thing you're doing is getting yourself worked up for nothing again."

"Worked up for nothing," she repeated, fingers tightening in Jinwu's feathers and urging him to increase his speed enough to match Feng's so she could glare across. "Worked up for nothing?! Is that what you think I'm really doing here?!"

Seventeen tugged Feng's neck slightly to match Tenten's speed to glare back. He couldn't hold his tongue, "it's more like what you are doing now!" Females, you hit one button and it ends up being the self destruct one. "Didn't you listen to anything I said?!"

"Yeah I listened. You went and put yourself in danger for no good reason. You're going to get yourself hurt, and it's going to end up being my fault because you wouldn't have done that if you didn't know me. Isn't that right?"

Her exhaustion was starting to show through by now as she clutched more tightly at Jinwu's feathers, scowling across at him.

"Will you stop putting yourself at fault here?! I swear you must enjoy doing this to yourself! I did it cause it looked fun! And if you were a decent ninja, you'd stay out of it!"

He catches his breath, so much yelling across the sky. He sighs trying to collect himself. "On the other hand, it's nice to know of your concern for me. In a sense, it's a first."

"No! A decent ninja doesn't let her comrades get hurt! We protect those important to us! That's what being a ninja is all about, having the strength to protect what's important!"

She growled and stared straight ahead, shaking her head -- shaking a little herself, actually, with the force of yelling -- before looking to him again and sighing a little.

"What, you mean no one ever showed concern for you before?"

She thought of him as a comrade? Color him surprise.

"Just as I said. Besides 18 and 16, no one would because of what we are. I suppose you could say we weren't 'good guys' material," 17 confessed as he gave her a side glance. "People fear what they cannot fight, and my maker was more of an evil genius type. Put those two together."

She did, in spite of it all. Sparring with someone did funny things, after all.

"I dunno, I fought you alright, no matter what you are. Doesn't matter to me, you're still someone I'm willing to protect."

It was that simple.

Although he didn't show, he was impressed. Despite it all, she treated him human.

Seventeen shook his head. "Do whatever you want."

"What I want is to get you to Ecruteak." She sighed and ducked her head a little, finally letting her fingers loosen in Jinwu's feathers. "Please don't do something like this again."

"Only if you go back in one piece like a good little ninja," he sighed as well. "And if they to cause you trouble, you'll call me," he continued as he looked forward.

"That's my job." There's a lot less humor in it than there might have been even a day ago, but she tossed him a faint smile anyway. "If you're close enough in the area, I'll definitely do that.

"I guess this kind of makes us partners, huh?"

"You get them to lower their guard and I'll beat them down," less humor on that one but hey, it sounded like a plan.

"Mm." She glanced to him again and nodded once. "You're an idiot, but you're in this now, too. I'll look out for you."

"Your idiot," he shrugged it. "Let's hurry up and land these guys soon. Humans neeed sleep."

"As soon as we get there, I'm kicking you off, don't worry," she reassured, glancing across again. "Humans who used to be androids need sleep too, okay?"

Girls, so hostile. "That's reassuring," he added. "I plan on it," although he wasn't sure about her. Granted he gets tired so easily if he exhaust his energy. This girl is just pushing herself. "I know you'll do the same," sooner or later. "So where is this town?"

"You'd better." Hey, not all girls are hostile! Just Tenten.

"Ecruteak? Maybe another two more hours by flight. It won't take too long, then I'll be teleporting to another city entirely."
