[Just over a week since Naruto's announcement to all of Johto and Kanto that his birthday was coming up, the day had finally arrived.

Not too many people were expected to show up (since he did invite EVERYONE) and they'd managed to rent a function room in one of Goldenrod's restaurants for the day. There's plenty of chairs and tables, food, music playing and room to dance if people so wish, you know regular old party stuff.]

[Dave had arrived with John and co but looked for Naruto after the fact. He's carrying a pokemon egg very carefully. Whenever he finds him, he whistles.] Hey, see I could have gotten you a bunch of tms, but I figured this was better.

This is an Axew. Dragon poke that's a bit hard to find.

[Yesss, more dragons! He tags the egg with a huge grin on his face.]

Oi oi... but you've gotta help me pick a name okay? [This has become a thing with pokemon gifts, apparently.]

[He reaches for his dex to show him, flipping it out and his thumb hovering over the controls.]

I dunno what it's meant to look like. [So he moves closer and peers at Dave's dex, waiting to see a picture of it.]

[Dave brings up the picture of Axew and taps it.] It will look like this at first. But the final form, [He brings it up with a swipe of his fingers. Haxorus the Axe jaw dragon. He'd bred it with the fluffy thing which is funny because Dirk and LL Cool J. Anyway.]

Both parents had dragon pulse, so it should too. Didn't exactly check all the stuff against each other to see what passed on. I'll do that...in a few days.

Cool! Yeah, so c'mon what should I call it? If it's gonna be an awesome dragon like that?!

Dunno. I named mine after my bro. He's a swordsmaster and has this thing for blades, it just fit him. [He pauses.] Know anyone like that?

Blades? Not really. [Octopops maybe, he carries all those swords. But Naruto already has plans to name an octopus after him.]

Hm. I got nothing, I always name mine after infamous rappers. [Octopops it might be once he learns of him.]
