It's All Fun And Games
Who: The First-Game Dangans of
route_29
Where: Around the Dining Room Table, the Dangan House, Goldenrod City
When: The Evening of Wednesday, December 11
Summary: It's not exactly a Class Trial (and everyone is probably thankful for that), but Nanami's arrival has prompted a slew of questions and surely there's no better way to resolve them than Dangan-style.
Rating: PG-13 because some people have filthy mouths. Also, FLAGRANT SPOILERS FOR SUPER DANGAN RONPA 2
Log:
[The Dangans have always had a habit of handling their business internally.
Or rather, Kirigiri has, at least — some might even argue that she's had a habit of handling her business too internally, to the point where she refuses to let anyone else in on it even when it might actually be entirely prudent and relevant to clue them in. And to some extent, that's what's happened here, too, as pertaining to the matter of one Nanami Chiaki, the Super High School Level Gamer. She's a problem no one had anticipated, a complication no one has accounted for — a schoolmate none of them remember, but through no fault of any memory shenanigans this time. And that's something worth talking about, so gathering up the assembled Dangans and orchestrating a round table (that thankfully ends up looking a lot more like their former breakfast meetings and a lot less like a Class Trial) to present their information all at once.
And since it's Kirigiri who prompted the meeting, that means it's her privilege (or burden) to start things off.]
On the eighth of this month, someone posted to the Gear Network claiming to be a student of Hope's Peak with the title "Super High School Level Gamer". How many of us have talked to her by now, and what did she tell you when she did?
[If that won't get the ball rolling, then nothing will.]

OOC Notes: Given the nature of the post, it seemed more sensible to put this up in the logs comm so that everybody could tag their characters into it and threadjack freely and so on — but considering everyone's just kind of sitting around a table talking, please don't feel bogged down by any sense of "necessity" to throw in action brackets into every tag just because this is a "log" post; by all means, sprinkle them in where you see fit, but this is designed to be a discussion-heavy log, not an action-heavy one. o/

[...Technically true, despite not really clarifying anything at all, THANKS KIRIGIRI.]

[FROM THE SOUND OF IT, KIRIGIRI, YOU HAD BETTER GET ON THE "WHAT WE'RE NOT BEING TOLD" PART.]
no subject
But then that doesn't make any sense. Ain't Enoshima supposed to be dead already?
no subject
[Always slow on the uptake, Hagakure.]
I was gonna say maybe she's just really smart and got bumped up a grade but she called all of us senpai...
no subject
[DAMMIT, KIRIGIRI]
She seems to think that Junko Enoshima left behind some sort of contingency plan to ensure that the killing games would continue even after her death — that is, she anticipated the outcome of our school life of mutual killing and planned for it.
Did Nanami-san tell anyone who her classmates are?
no subject
....thanks, Celes. What a contribution.]

Look. This is just going to get Ishimaru to jump up from the table like the impulsive idiot he is, though he's not...going anywhere; either way, standing right the hell up is going to be a thing because this is asinine - ]
Would you even tell us if she told you, Kirigiri-kun, or are we supposed to take that as a genuine question?
no subject
[...on second thought...]
If you expect us to share information with you, Kirigiri-san, perhaps you should stop being so cryptic. It's tiresome.
[Placing her teacup back on the table, Celes begins to play with her bangs - as she does when she's thinking.]
Frankly, I want to know why we're taking this girl at face value. How do you know she is not working for Enoshima?

[OK, THIS IS KIND OF GETTING OUT OF HAND QUICKLY-]

Think what you like about Celes-kun, but implying that she would sink so low as to work with the mastermind is out of line and you'll refrain from doing so in the future! Do you not see the difference between those of us who actually experienced that game with each other, and someone else claiming to have undergone the same thing, but just happens knows everything about the rest of us due to some supposed "file"?!
no subject
[Look, no-one here is gunna argue that she's not a two-faced raging psychopath (least of all her), but that is not the point!]
Don't forget the last time you took a pretty face to mean innocence, Kuwata-kun! It didn't end well for you!
no subject
[ SERIOUSLY. ]

no subject
[...Ishimaru...]
But Celes-kun is one of ours; we know nothing about this Nanami-kun, nor do we have any way to verify!

That gets a flinch out of him, but like hell if he's going to back down on this, Kuwata, he's sorry.]
I'm not believing Celes-kun over anyone else!! The only way that applies at all is in saying that she wasn't working with the mastermind, which is obviously the case and has been proven to be true multiple times - what I'm saying is that we can't just take this person at her word, and it's inviting trouble to do otherwise!
After all, even you're saying that she "might" have gone through what we did - meaning you don't know either, do you?!
no subject
But he is with Leon on this.]
Come on, you guys! It's not fair to just go and assume she's in league with the Mastermind! I mean, I guess she didn't tell me as much as she told Kirigiri-chi and Naegi-chi but...she seemed okay to me, dudes.
And how're we supposed to figure out whether she's legit or not? It's kinda hard to test that unless we trust her.
1/2
2/2
I'm still waiting to hear a good reason as to why we should trust her.
no subject
[He's currently so worked-up that he's practically vibrating; he's not about to sit down and settle anytime soon.]
If anyone has any actual information about this person, now is the time to share it with the rest of us - in a manner that isn't cryptic, because now isn't the time!
no subject
I'm well aware that there's no way to prove the truth of anything she says. That's why we're here to discuss it in the first place — the best we can hope for is to compare the stories she told each of us and see if she's at least consistent in them.
[You vibrating idiot.]
