It took them long enough to get here...
Who: Scar, Raikov, Lust, Greed
Where: Outside Saffron
When: Around Sept 16, may contain subthreads on different dates.
Summary: Meeting up! ...Semi-reluctantly.But totally not.
Rating: Starting PG to be safe?
Log:
Why had they crossed two entire regions, again? Right, because Lust wanted to "see Scar" about something, and he had had nothing better to do.
Raikov had, for some reason, stuck by him throughout the month he had spent traveling.
They were approaching Saffron City when they finally caught up with Lust and Greed, though Scar was beginning to show reluctance as they approached the campsite. This whole thing was stupid, not to mention pointless. What was he even doing here?

Friends with benefits...? It was hard to say. They were in far less contact than Raikov would have liked to be.
"And he never told me he was traveling with anyone..."
The Russian wondered if Greed had even bothered to mention him to Scar's female friend. He felt a sting of jealous at the prospect.

"She's a sweetheart," Greed comments about the Pokemon before he stands back up, recalling the pink bird into its Pokeball. "With any luck," he continues, "This will go smoothly." He hopes so at any rate. He's not exactly keen on having Scar travel all the way to Kanto and having him put his foot in his mouth around Lust.
no subject
"Hopefully. Are they coming or not?" Lust peers up the road, frowning thoughtfully.
no subject
"Then hide in the trees." He's only half joking. If you can even call anything Scar says a joke.
Miriam, meanwhile, looks as if she's committed some horrible failure by not bringing Lust and Guttle a flower. She's torn between soaking up the attention and dashing off to find one.

And as soon as Katya sees who they're meeting, she rolls her tiny eyes.
Here we go again...
no subject
"Is that them?"
no subject
Finally. And she assumed the man following was his traveling companion, the one that was a bit sweet on him. She smooths her skirt down though it doesn't need it and fidgets with her hair, as though she can't decide just how she wants it to fall. What if Scar's companion doesn't like her? What if Scar honestly can't accept that she and Greed are very close friends, without romance between them? What if musical instruments or some other ridiculous thing start raining from the sky and interrupt their picnic before they even get a chance to discuss anything?
It could happen. This place is strange like that. Guttle is apparently not at all nervous, and eagerly rolls down the road to meet Scar.
She's thankful Greed's hung around for this.
no subject
"Sorry it took so long." He mostly addressed Lust, but at least he bothered to regard Greed. He didn't want to see him, but he was starting to learn that that didn't mean he could simply ignore him, either.
Miriam was occupied with reuniting with Guttle.
no subject
"Ivan Raidenovitch Raikov. It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss...?"
no subject
At least Scar had acknowledged him this time. It was improvement enough for the homunculus.
no subject
And Raikov, that was right. She remembers the other man's name now. She isn't sure what she was expecting, but he's polite. And he didn't mind trekking up here, so she's thankful to him for that. It wasn't good for Scar to always be on his own.
"Lust." She takes the offered hand, having grown used to the habit. "And no 'miss', please. I don't like social titles."
no subject
He glanced to Lust, then, still frowning some.
"Now what?" He was here, like she had asked, and he still want entirely sure why, or what she even planned to do.
no subject
That made him feel slightly better about the situation. She wasn't just some random woman. But her name... he couldn't help but wonder if there was something going on between the two.
no subject
Scar wasn't immediately trying to get out of dodge and wasn't immediately getting hostile with him, so Greed considered that quite the victory.
no subject
"And yes, I'm a homunculus. Much younger than Greed or Envy, but of the same biological nature." Before any assumptions were made in that regard. Compared to the other sins here, she was practically an infant.
Lust would just roll her eyes if she had any idea that Raikov was entertaining the same sorts of thoughts she suspected Scar of. If anything, she was more worried the other man would be put off by her interest in Scar - since as far as she knew, it was a common interest they shared.
"And I made a lunch for us, I thought we could take a walk and share a meal." The last was directed at Scar. That was casual enough, wasn't it? She didn't call him out on his rough manner, he was being civil to Greed, she'd take what she could get.
no subject
This is why one should never irritate a vengeful jerk.
But then there was Lust, whose plans were exactly what he had been hoping they wouldn't be. He didn't externally react beyond a nod, but he suddenly wanted to be anywhere but here. This had been idiotic. They were just going to end up awkwardly staring at the grass the entire time. He didn't want to talk. When did he ever want to talk? Why had he agreed to this?
Cold feet indeed.
no subject
And then Lust said the magic words. Completely forgetting about his jealousy issues (as well as ignoring Scar's comment), his smile grew wider.
"... Lunch, you say? What did you make?"
no subject
He knew what Lust was intending, because it was the plan all along, but of course Raikov wouldn't have any way of knowing that. He decided it was best to continue to be polite to Scar because that's the most pressing issue he can think of at the moment. "She went to a lot of trouble, you know," he said, doing his best at a genuine smile. It was a bit awkward, but he was trying. "I'm certain you'll enjoy it."
no subject
Then she simply blinked, staring at Raikov a moment.
"I made sandwiches and cold salad and things for myself and Scar." Had Scar not explained why they had even come here? "There's a boxed lunch for Greed, if he wants to share it with you."
Since she'd begun learning about cooking, she'd taken over meal making. And Greed was being remarkably helpful and supportive in all of this, she wasn't going to go off and leave him without a proper lunch. She hadn't thought about Scar's traveling companion.
She clearly still needed to work on her social skills.
"I suppose I could put something together now..."
no subject
But the look he gave Greed certainly communicated his confusion. Okay. And...?
"It's fine," he finally said, quiet and offhanded, to Lust. Don't let this awkward misery persist any longer than it had to.
no subject
"Oh. I'm sorry for assuming... Don't worry about making me anything."
Raikov made his way over to Greed and went to wrap an arm around his, grinning. "The two of us can go find something to do while you two walk and chat? After all, we did make plans for when we finally met back up..." Even if it was meant to be back in Johto. He certainly wasn't complaining though. "If that's alright with everyone... ?"
no subject
"Right," he said quickly, taking a moment to find his voice again. "I wouldn't want to hold the two of you up."
no subject
But she supposed it would certainly go to great lengths to assure Scar there was nothing between her and Greed.
"Alright, then. Greed can feed you." That took care of that. And Greed wouldn't be by himself. "Don't get into too much trouble. Feirefiz, bring the basket?"
Lust's Furfrou trotted over, picnic basket in his jaws. She was bringing him and Guttle along as buffers. She thought Scar would like the sweet natured dog Pokemon.
no subject
Especially when that someone was Greed.
"Have fun." There wasn't anything mischievous in his tone, but it was implied. Scar crouched closer to Feirefiz when he trotted over. This would be far easier with the Pokémon here.
no subject
"I didn't know your traveling companion and mine knew each other," she began, once they were off on their own. It at least made for a good way to start the conversation, she'd been worried about a long awkward silence while she tried to think of something to say.
