Summary: The bosses are defeated, the strife is over, the apocalypse has been averted. But things are still a bit of a disaster and some benign faces are arriving, so this is your chance to wind down, rest up, commiserate with others over everything that transpired, and breathe a little in general before it's time to go home again.
Rating: PG-13 in general; please mark threads that go higher accordingly!

YOU ARE HERE. IT LOOKS A LITTLE APOCALYPTIC. BUT THESE GUYS ARE HERE, AND SO IS THIS GUY.

NOW GO LEARN THE MAGIC OF YARN.

KEY:

• The GRAY, GREEN, and BLUE areas remain as they have all plot; these are the mountains, forest, and lake areas (respectively) that are now devoid of Team Aqua and Magma Grunts and currently form the natural boundaries of the map area you're in!

• The BROWN rectangle in the center of the map is still the Elite Four's Resort; because you did so well at fighting off the bosses and their legendaries, it escaped the conflict with minimal damage. For this log, that means it will also still be available to you as a bonus area map!

• The PINK triangle represents Shauna and Sina's private jet (or, well, someone's private jet, anyway), in which they just arrived from Kalos! Also, it sounds like they've got some kind of goodies for you in there, so you might want to stop by and have a chat with them to see what that's all about.

• RED stars on either sides of the map are approximate locations where you are most likely to be able to find and approach Arceus! Note that it can be sighted pretty much anywhere on the map as it walks around restoring things to some semblance of normal, but if you intend to approach it directly, it should be in one of these two areas. Attempting to catch or battle Arceus will result in a character immediately whiting out and being booted to the Blackthorn City Pokemon Center, and thereby suspended from participation in the remainder of the event.

A FEW OTHER SETTING NOTES:

• The Gen VI Pokemon that assisted you in the battle are still around somewhat, but they're largely leaving the area to head back down into the Johto/Kanto regions proper; they made good on the summons from their creator and have received its profound thanks for it, and now it's time to get back to the areas they've picked as their new habitats from here on out.

• FOR CHARACTERS WHO USED A HONEDGE LIKE A WEAPON DURING BATTLE:
This is also where we are asking you to experience some IC consequences! Namely, in exchange for picking up your Pokemon and rather unceremoniously winging it around by the head during battle, Arceus will be returning the favor by winging you around by the head a little at some point during the log! You're welcome to handwave this as you see fit, but we ask that you please accept this as the consequence of your choices!

• On a related note, if your character has mistreated one of their Pokemon lately and you would like them to suffer a llamagod-delivered consequence for it (for the purposes of development or what have you), feel free to let us know and we'll work something out with you!

• There is no restriction on how many of the NPCs you may talk to; feel free to interact with any and all of them!

• Maxie and Archie are not available on this log; they are, however, going to be taken into Shauna and Sina's custody and presumably deported back to Kalos to receive justice for...something or other, assuredly.

• You are welcome to thread out scenes occuring at any time during the aftermath events — waking up in the morning to Arceus, spotting Shauna and Sina arriving around noon, and experiencing the Sylveon Swarm in the afternoon are all fair game!

• At the end of the day you will be getting home the same way you initially came: via an Arceus-opened portal that will take you back to the location you left, with its thanks!

• EDIT: It's been brought to our attention that this was somewhat unclear — yes, you may make your own top-levels on this log! It is not solely for interacting with the NPCs, so please feel free to tag around and interact with others as you like!

[It's not so much that Maka picked a Sylveon.

One picked her.

It spotted her amid the trainers peeking curiously at the herd traipsing around to soothe their battered emotions post battle. This Pokemon knew, immediately, that girl is very unhappy and in some serious need of

L♡VE~!

That intrepid Sylveon skips forward eagerly and grabs Maka by the wrist with her--for the Pokemon is indeed female--ribbons and leads her to touch hands with the nearest person without so much as a "hello I want to be your friend!"

Maybe you're the unfortunate second victim of this well-meaning Eeveelution, maybe you're a bystander, either way Maka is flustered as hell.]

[ And here he was innocently feeding a pokepuff to a curious Airi when all of a sudden, there are fleshribbons on his hand. ]

Wait... what are you--

[ It takes him a bit to react because those fleshribbons are hella weird and even more when there's that contact. Oh god contact with another person all because this Sylveon decided he would be a good target for whatever it was planning. ]

S... sorry! It's just that this Sylveon wanted to--

[ Another pause and a stare. Sorry Maka. Espurr's got his tongue. Between said Sylveon and his Chansey all but giggling at his reaction and the thought of Oh god I made contact with a girl and it's a girl I know is flooding his mind right now. Poor boy can only manage a series of stammers.

Sad, really. ]

[Ugh. She's stammering out apologies in unison with him, far before she even realizes it's Yukio.

When Maka does realize it's him, though, she's not embarrassed, just...concerned. What is that look on his face? Luckily, the Sylveon let go and skips over to Maka's side where she sits, looking pleased with herself. Perfect match~

Oh no, no it's not.]

[ Sob this is normally the time when he'd make some sort of lame excuse but unfortunately, Rin and his gerbils are nowhere to be seen. Meanwhile, Airi's waddled over with Yukio's stuff and settles herself down beside her new friend. One flipper goes up as if to ask for a high-five because good going you.

The boy meanwhile is rubbing his wrists when that Sylveon lets go. ]

I... I'm fine.

[ Though he's calmed down, he's still trying to choke down the fact his ears have gone red.

Airi giggling at that is not making it better. ]

Sorry. Looks like that Sylveon's got some ideas.

That's not even my Sylveon, it just came out of nowhere and grabbed me.

[Hell yes my pink sister in wuv, high to the five. There's a reason Arceus chose this Sylveon, she's very good at picking out and sensing relationships, how much HAPPINESS~ they bring and, of course, eternal dedication to the agenda of love.

Unfortunately that thing she sensed as potential between the two wasn't romantic love, it's the friendship that's already there, potential familial affection.]

I guess she wanted to be sure I knew where my friends were.

[ He'll just glance over at the two conspirators though. Airi's oblivious to her trainer as she decides the best way to celebrate this new friendship is by splitting a pokepuff!

But I'm glad to see you're okay, at any rate... looks like your pokemon are fine, too. Though... I'm wondering if that Sylveon's chosen you from out of the crowd. Looks like she's getting friendly with Airi.

[Wait. Stop right there. This line of thinking caused Rin to yell at her last time. Maka sort of narrows her eyes at Yukio for a few seconds, mouth twisting into an awkward expression as though she really wants to finish her statement but just can't.]

...I mean...I'm not usually someone that's picked. But...it's uncanny, isn't it? I wonder if they happen to have something in common.

[Maka the something in common is LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP, come on.]

[Veronica had just been tending to her own pokemon, giving them medicine and congratulatory head pats. To her credit, she sensed that something was wrong before the tentacles grabbed her.]

Wha! Hey!

[Wow, what even are you. Why are you doing this. Where are we going. Hey, is that Maka-Okay, that's her hand. She's touching Maka's hand and she immediately pulls away.]

Wh-what?!

--Ah.

[Oh god.

Sylveon looks way too proud of herself.]

...Hi, Veronica. I don't know why she's doing that.

[Well. At least someone looks proud of herself. Veronica is pulling away very quickly the first chance she gets, her face a distinct color of red.]

Uhh... hey.

...What Pokémon is that.

Shauna said they're Sylveon, they came from Kalos...maybe Arceus brought them here? They're sorta acting like they need to take care of us after all this.

[By...flesh ribbons. This is weird.]

[Flesh ribbons are very weird. But it's not like this was the first time she'd seen something like that.... strangely enough.]

Sylveon...? [She looks down at the new kind of Pokémon curiously.] It must be like when those other Pokémon started showing up around here.

But why do they have to be so... affectionate?

Maybe that's just in their nature. I'm sure we'll have an idea when we're able to update our Pokedexes.

[She just hopes it's soon because seriously. Flesh bows.]

She also said they evolve from Eevee.

[Scar's voice is mild as he watches the spectacle from a small ways away. There might actually be a bit of amusement in his expression.]

[WHAT'S THAT?

[Sylveon seems to take this as an invitation to pull Maka to and practically throw her at Scar.]

...Ow.

[The Pokemon sits back and watches the two, eyes sparkling and ears twitching in excitement. She senses that Scar is in dire need of love and friendship, too!!]

Looks like I have.

[Just going to amend that statement. Scar reaches for Maka's shoulder to help her orientate herself when she's promptly hurled in his direction. He eyes the Pokémon with a skeptical frown.]

What does it want...?

I have no idea, but she's kinda...

["Freaking me out" goes unsaid, but it's still hanging in the air.]

Maybe she just wants to be sure I know where my friends ended up. She seems really good at finding people.

[Well yes but she also wants you to hug it out with your friends, Maka.]

[Scar crouches down to take a closer look at the friendly Pokémon, a decision he has a faint feeling he will immediately regret.]

[Twilight's sitting on a random rock, just letting her mind drift for a while. She definitely has enough to think about for the moment.

But the Sylveon appears to believe that she desperately needs a distraction, judging by how it just dragged Maka over to her and laid her hand on Twilight's. Surprised, she turns her head quite hurriedly, only to relax when she sees who it is.]

Hello Maka. I'm glad to see you're alright. Want to have a seat?

Hi, Twilight. [Arceus just strike her down now, stop getting distracted by snackies.]

Sorry about her, I don't know what's got her so excited, but she seems to be really interested in dragging me over to people I know. And some people I don't know.

Oh don't worry about it. She's quite adorable, and it's not like I mind the company.

[She reaches out one hand to offer ear scratchings to the Sylveon, but keeps her eyes on Maka.] Does she have a name yet?

No...I haven't even caught her yet, she's the one that caught me.

[Ear scritchings having been confirmed for something the Sylveon wants, Twilight applies her fingers as best she can.]

I see. Well, aside from apparently being one of the most social Pokemon I've seen, and insisting on you being so as well, what traits has she demonstrated?

Um...she's really affectionate, almost like she's worried I'm not getting enough or something.

[Because you aren't! Sylveon insists in A Look directed at Maka.]

Shauna said that Sylveon evolve from affection, too, so...I guess she's all about the love and friendship.
