[-Ah! But all of a sudden her face goes dead serious, as if she has just remembered something of critical importance.]
Wait, that's right! I'm... a university student!

[...Good question, actually.]
We have Liepards, which are what Purrloins evolve into - they're leaner than Persians are, with yellow spotted markings on them. And I know about Persians, though they aren't very common. The rest aren't like that, they're smaller - things like Delcatty and Purugly, but I don't think either or those are what you're thinking of if Persian is the example you're setting.
[WELCOME TO GEN V, WE HAVE LIKE FOUR CATS AND WHAT IS A PYROAR WE JUST DON'T KNOW.]
Why?

Try using ssstatusss effects if it won't lissten to you.
[Don't mind Cobra, just trying to offer some advice because this is a brilliant idea.]

[SAD CHERRY DID NOTHING WRONG]
As usual, of course. Where should we start?
[you're the boss, jojo]

[So leopards, lions, and housecats. Still no tiger Pokemon, apparently. :| ]
...Something you said earlier. About feeling a thing's energy.
[... :|a ]
I'm not sure if I really know what you're getting at, but my best guess is, my energy would be for...something like that.

Things like that speak to you.
[Whether he means that in the typical pretentious sort of way or...genuinely is a little hard to say; he tends to talk over people's heads a lot, but given the Purrloins earlier, it's anyone's guess.]
Do you have something like that, wherever you're from?

[A woman in a crazy outfit pacing up and down the sidewalk talking to herself in a weird voice? That's exactly the sort of person Yusuke would avoid on a normal day, but since today is decidedly not normal and she's making enough noise to cause him legitimate concern, Yusuke goes against his better judgment and comes loping over to see what's up.
As usual, he is the paragon of sensitivity and tact.]
Whoa, hey, lady! Take it easy. What's your problem?

Well, sure, they seem okay.
[But you are sometimes way too trusting for your own good, Mami-san, and having friends to join you at a tea party is another huge weakness on top of it.]
Ah, what am I saying? Someone like you would be sure to recognize a threat long before me, right? So I'm sure it's fine.

...Oi. Cherry. Where did you come from?
[it's a start...]

[Okay, that pretty much confirms that this guy has no damn idea what he's talking about, doesn't it.]
Yare yare.

[Doof is busy chasing around a Pancham. Why? Ask the Pancham, Doof has no idea, he just wants it to get in the pokeball.]
Peter you come back right this insta--
[And down goes as Peter trips Doof right into someone's leg.]
Well great, now I'm stuck here looking at a shoe.

[The poor tormented cherry answered by hiding behind Kakyoin the best that it could, because Jotaro was probably going to punch it.]
...Why don't we ask the one we haven't managed to terrify yet?
[YO, PANDA. WHAT'S YOUR DEAL.]
...Why don't we ask the one we haven't managed to terrify yet?
[YO, PANDA. WHAT'S YOUR DEAL.]
[
Perry nods at the question. Yes, battling would be great.]
[Haha, Peter, that's a funny coincidence there-
... Wait he knows that voice.
After a moment to recognize the voice of the person who tripped over him, he (rather roughly) yanks the man up by his coat to confirm his suspicions.
Yep, it's Heinz. Perry glares at him, unsure whether he was glaring at Heinz's presence, the fact that he named this panda "Peter", or he was just too surprised to greet him any way else but his normal greeting.]

Maybe, or maybe not. It's difficult to say who will end up resonating with us; the friends I've made on my journeys weren't always those I specifically set out to meet. Some were, but most weren't; there's no set formula to apply or pattern to work out, it just happens when it does. It's happened with a couple of humans as well, which was absolutely not what I set out for but I ended up finding them anyway.
[And now Doof finds himself looking at a glaring face. Peter, on the other hand, has an all-to pleased expression on his face.
Doof finds himself behind everything again.]
What? Hey, he tripped me! I was trying to get him in the pokeball!

[Perry rolled his eyes before realizing that Heinz probably doesn't recognize him yet. He points to the fedora that he's currently wearing; with any luck that will be enough for Heinz to recognize who he's talking to.]
[GASPS.]
...that looks just like Perry the platypus' fedora!
Why are you dressed like Perry the platypus? What are you, some weirdo cosplayer?

[Perry growls before pointing to himself again. Heinz this isn't a hard puzzle here.]
[Finally.
Perry lets go of Heinz and waves. Nice to see you here. He guesses.]

[There are a few things to be grateful for here, Kristoph supposes vaguely; the first is that it's far more open here than what he's used to – not just in comparison to the place he remembers last (though it's a marked improvement over the 10'x7' box), but also in comparison to the high-rises and professional buildings and miles upon miles of concrete that he's used to. It's annoying to cover distance but it's nice, and he's always favored appearances over practicality, and if he's going to be blunt this place is far less claustrophobic.
...The other thing is that if he must be in the company of massive animals, the ones he's got with him seem entirely disinterested in harming him, and while they're a little on the feisty side at least he doesn't have to train these out of using his goddamn hand as a chew toy.
(No one has introduced him to a Deino yet. He would quite like to keep it that way, please and thank you, he's already dealt with one overeager pet who bites everything and everyone.)
He does suppose it's fortunate that he doesn't mind snakes; admittedly, the one he's got is...kind of a lot of snake, it's at least six more feet of snake than he would actually like in his vicinity and even that's pushing it, but it (he? she? Kristoph has no idea and he's not about to ask it because he'd really quite like to keep some of his dignity today) seems to be quite docile in the scheme of things, and it's somewhere around the point that he realizes that he's more concerned with the stupid thing nosing through his bag than he is with being bitten for the reprimand and abrupt taking away of said bag that it occurs to him that he's quite simply lost his mind.
It's been a really, really long week.
But! It's a long week that's culminated in the longest he's been outside in half a year and he doesn't have solitary confinement to go back to anytime soon to his knowledge, so in the end perhaps it's worth it, even if it has left him kind of wandering around in the sort of vague daze usually reserved for tremendous damn tourists who have no idea where they're going, or otherwise dealing with, you know, eleven feet of snake nudging him along when he's staying in one area for too long. Granted, that sort of behavior is usually just met with a look and a really put-upon sigh and maybe some eyerolling, but clearly we can't have everything.]
Yes, right, I know – this would be far less grating for you if I'd been given actual instructions regarding what I'm supposed to do, you know, so don't blame me.
[And talking to the stupid thing as though it understands him because it's been a really long week. At least he seems casual enough about this entire thing, if in a very catlike "I am totally intending to be here doing this very thing right now, yep, absolutely" sort of way.]
