Who: Neku Sakuraba and Nagi Naoe
Where: Goldenrod City
When: Evening, August 1
Summary: Neku asks his friend to come hang out. Wires get crossed. It's certainly not a date
Rating: PG for possible battles
Log:
[Neku was still learning how this whole 'friend' thing went- but he knew hanging out was part of it. Him and Nagi talked mostly over text and snapshots. He liked it that way honestly. But occasional meet ups were nice. Ones where he didn't have to worry about a fight as much.
And honestly he wanted to see this world's version of movies for awhile. From what he's heard they were much shorter, so multiple series were often shown together. Perfect for a casual thing. So there he stood, checking the time on his Gear occasionally as he waited for Nagi]

Still, Nagi can't complain; he told Neku to pick where they sat, after all. He really has no choice but to reluctantly follow, hesitating just long enough for it to be noticeable before taking a seat. Once he does he keeps his attention riveted on the screen in the hopes that it's either started by now since they came in late, or they'll have walked in just as it was starting.
...he also regrets not thinking to bring his bag or something so he could keep the other seat next to him occupied, like a tool but who cares not Nagi.]

...we can leave. Honest. I won't get mad...
no subject
...it's fine. I thought you wanted to see how ridiculous these movies were?

[...what is it?]
...I've never really...done this before.
[Schuldig has taken him places on occasion (usually when he pretty much had to), and that was usually to get something to eat, or to get a new video game. And sure, he's gone to the game corner to play with Nanami before, but...something about that felt...different? He's not sure how, but they were constantly playing games.
...competing. Maybe that's what it was.]

I guess...

If it get to be too much just poke me and we'll go, okay?
[And look, the movie is starting: Invaders]

As far as the movie itself goes, well...it really is pretty goofy. But it's interesting for Nagi largely because there's so many Pokemon and quite a lot of battling involved.
...a LOT of battling, apparently.]

Neku chuckles a few times, obviously enjoying himself]

And before long...he's laughing too. It's quiet and under his breath, but still very much there.]

He might be glancing over as Nagi laughs, missing a bit of plot here or there. But well... what can you do?Once the movie ends he stretches, popping his back as the lights come back on]
Huh... that was better then I expected. I honestly couldn't tell if those battles were staged or not. It's got me kinda worked up.

[He says like it's obvious and leans back when the lights turn back on, not having realized he'd been leaning forward so much while they were watching.]
But it's the movies, so I'm not surprised.

[Plenty of other stuff was probably added in later, he's sure...but to be quite honest those movies were of better quality than anything he'd ever seen back home.]

You're probably right. It's not like they'd need much editing when you have real living flamethrowers.
no subject
That wasn't...that bad, actually. I liked it.

[He turns, smirking]
Kinda put me in a fighting mood, ya know?
no subject
...you're not just saying that, right?

[He looks back over at the other rows of seats, realizing that suddenly they're the only two left in the theater.]
We...should head out, then.
no subject
[He stands, moving over towards the door, but waiting for Nagi this time instead of leading]
no subject
Alright. I'll be ready when you are.
[He'd prepared beforehand for...well, obvious reasons.]

...same as last time? Or you wanna try a different rule set?
