'Cause Baby, Tonight The DJ's Got Us Falling In Love Again...
Who: EVERYONE
Where: Scenic Tohjo Falls!
When: Friday, April 5 through Saturday, April 6
Summary: WHAT SUMMARY DO YOU NEED, IT'S POKEPROM
Rating: May vary by thread, please mark accordingly!
Log:
It's here! It's here! Clair's first-ever (and, Lance hopes, last-ever) Pokemon Prom is here, coming to you straight from scenic Tohjo Falls! You've packed your bags, you've hitched your rides, and now you're taking your first steps in to a super swank palatial PokeManor where, prior to now, only the pseudo-legendary best of the best had ever tread. Gosh, that must make you pretty special, huh? (Well, you and everyone else in the massive crowd that arrived along with you, that is.) Of course, you're all destined for greatness. But at the moment, your more immediate destiny is forty-eight hours of fun.
So get going!

☆ YOU ARE HERE ☆

KEY:
• BLUE areas are where the bulk of the party's events will be located! As you can see, the festivities will be taking place largely outdoors, and the grounds will reflect that; there'll be the usual decorations of pretty floral arrangements, little lights, things like that. Think garden party!
• GREEN areas are where guests will be staying overnight! Unfortunately, you'll be sleeping-bagging it up, since this is a house party and not a hotel party, but this is where you'll be given space to leave your possessions, claim some sleeping room, and generally crash for the night once the festivities do you in. (Note: you're welcome to try to sleep elsewhere, but Clair might catch you and disapprove. You don't want that, do you?)
• RED areas are unfortunately off-limits to guests! If asked about them, anyone will tell you that those are the rooms and areas that the Elite Four have claimed for themselves, and they're sealed off tight. Please don't try to break into them anyway; you'll only be caught and punished.
• AREA A is the designated Indoor Ballroom area, for the people who would prefer to class it up a little more than just your standard garden party. There's a big skylight, hardwood floors, tasteful artwork, and classy music — a little more upscale than the shenanigans going on outside, for the people who'd rather that kind of thing.
• AREA B will be the area of interest for anyone hoping to sneak a little Pokemon research on the side: this is the Library/Gallery area of the house. While most of it is your standard "tall shelves of ancient identical books" fare, there are a few points of interest — a sculpture of Lugia, a painting of the Ecruteak City skyline before the Brass Tower burned down, some stone etchings of what might be Fossil Pokemon, and so on. Guests are welcome to look around a little, but burying themselves in research the whole time will be highly frowned upon, and you'll be politely encouraged to leave the library alone and go rejoin the festivities if you hole up in there for too long.
• AREA C is...well, the Parking Lot. More importantly, it's where you take your Pokemon battles if you simply gotta get your battle on; keep it out and away from the house, please, and try not to make too much of a mess. Skirmishes, sorties, and sparring will be tolerated here and here alone. Do it anywhere else and you'll be facing some very displeased hosts.
• AREA D is the Elite Four's Trophy Room. Please be quiet and respectful if you come up here to have a look around; it's a solemn kind of place. Here you'll find various collections of badges, ribbons, awards, and trophies put on display, with one wall devoted to each member of the Elite Four. Of particular note is a glass case with a broken Ultra Ball mounted inside; the brass plaque attached claims it's the ball Lorelei was using when she almost caught Articuno. On a lighter note, there are also pictures of the Elite Four themselves — your standard Official Portraits™, sure, but also some framed candids of them in various configurations hanging out with their Pokemon and engaged in various activities around the house (Agatha making waffles, Lance and Bruno clowning around in the pool, stuff like that).

THE ORIGINAL INFOPOST | QUESTIONS AND INQUIRIES HOTLINE
All these open threads everywhere!!
Three dances and two more cups later, he decides to clear his head with a walk. It has him roaming through grand hallways, following the darkly-patterned design of the carpeted trails to a seating room. With large couches and various armchairs and throw-pillows lying about, it looks nothing short of comfortable. So Masato finds a vacant chair and reaches for the handles, trying to steady himself before sitting down. Unfortunately, what is coordination?
He's on his butt in front of the floor within seconds thanks to gravity, and just rests his head against the seat, laughing softly to himself. Whatever's happened to him is quite bizarre, but he can't come to hate it. Don't mind the crazy in the room, guys. He'll... hopefully sober up sooner or later.]
no subject
Odd, is most likely the word Ren's looking for, as he spots Hijirikawa sitting on the floor and laughing. Really? Was this really the same guy he knew?]
What are you doing?
no subject
Nothin' that... concerns you.
[For a moment, he wondered if he actually try again for the chair. Deciding it would indeed help with his composure, he reached for it, although it seemed like it took twice as much effort for his limbs to cooperate enough to get him standing. Once he managed to sit in the chair, he folded his hands over one knee and turned away. See, Ren? Perfectly fine.]
no subject
You're right, it doesn't... unless you go around ruining our reputation by behaving like that.
[... you know, he never though he could say that to Hijirikawa... or anyone. Usually he was the one who heard these kind of things.]
no subject
I 'unno what happened.
no subject
[He couldn't be, right? Time to check. Excuse him for leaning closer to smell his breathe.]
no subject
[Masato looked up quickly, gaping at Ren. He tried moving his head back from Ren, but the strong taste of alcohol was apparent, even with the sugary scent of the punch.]
But there wasn't... I don't drink.
no subject
You really don't know a thing about parties, do you? Someone always spikes the punch.
no subject
[Looking to the side in disbelief, Masato just slumped back in the seat. So someone spiked the punch? That meant he was drunk, or something very off the scale in terms of sobriety. And he had no idea how to handle this knowledge.]
I... I drank the punch. Oh no... This is bad.

Are you okay? Do you need me to help you to the bathroom?
[ is he going to hurl? ]
no subject
I'm fine, jus' fine.... And... and you're... [It took him a moment of squinting, but he was certain he recognized this face from somewhere.]
I don't rem'ber your name.
no subject
...of course the fact that he just kind of sunk onto the floor suddenly should say something. ]
Let's find you a better place to sit down, and I can get you some water after that.
no subject
Water? No, it's fine. Just sit, sit heeeere.
[He reaches over and pats the back of the chair in some awkward sort of offering.] It doesn't like me... Maybe you, it'll like you.
no subject
It'd be weird if I sat on the chair and you sat by my leg. [ so he just plops down on his butt next to Masato. there, they can be two weirdos sitting on the floor. ]
Did you have a lot of punch? [ or is he just a lightweight? ]
no subject
Staring back forward, he tries to remember how many glasses of punch he drank.] I had... a lot. It... it seemed kind of... mixed with a soda. Made my throat... thirsty. [That, mixed with being as thin and unaccustomed to it as he was, were a horrible combination.]
no subject
Ah...there was alcohol in that. Did you have anything else to drink at all? You'll get dehydrated like this.

Too much to drink?
no subject
Hmm? I don't... think so? I... I was thirsty. No longer thirsty.
no subject
Hey, man. You all right there?
[Yusuke's Swablu, Puu, flies down a little lower to get a closer look at the stranger, carefully keeping his distance in case the guy decides he wants to try grabbing him. Phew, this human smells funny! What's he gotten into?]
no subject
[Masato looks up, giggles trailing to a stop as he tries to figure out who this new individual was, until that Swablu comes close and completely distracts him for a moment. He's seen something like this before... He reaches out to pet him.]
You brought your pokémon?
no subject
[Puu regards the stranger's hand a little dubiously at first, but once he's sure he's not gonna try to squeeze the hell out of him or something, he comes closer and graciously allows himself to be petted. Yusuke, meanwhile, stands back and watches, ready to stage an intervention if the guy happens to get too rough with the him. At least he's not so far gone that he can't reach out and touch what's right in front of him... which, Yusuke guesses, is a relief.
Either way, he figures he better keep talking to this dude so he doesn't pass out. Granted, it might happen anyway, but... well, whatever.]
So what happened? You hit the punch bowl too hard?
no subject
[Masato is surprisingly gentle, albeit a little clumsy, with his little petting. This bird is oddly cute, very blue... It has him smiling a little, but he soon looks up, head slowly tilting in confusion.]
I di'n't hit it... just drank some. Thirsty... Tasted a little odd, though...
FFFF sorry for the delay! i didn't see this ;;;; stupid dw!
Yeah, that's probably 'cause it's got alcohol in it. [A little grin spreads across his face.] What, did you not know or something?
[He's gonna guess "yes" on that one, just based on how Masato described it: "it tasted odd", as opposed to some variation of "I think it was spiked". Granted, this guy could just be really confused, but whatever. HE ASKED THE QUESTION ALREADY, IT'S OUT THERE, WHO CARES.
Puu, meanwhile, nudges at the guy's palm, having decided he's enjoying the attention. C'MON, MAN, KEEP PETTING. He doesn't get such tender treatment from his own trainer! :C]
no worries!! ♥
[Alcohol in the punch? Masato's eyes widen a moment and he turns to look at the guy, but then glances back at the bird in front of him. It's odd, not being sure whether he's more freaked out at the fact that the punch was spiked, or wanting to pay more attention to this little Swablu...
He opts for petting the Swablu.]
That means... Ah.
no subject
[AHHH, that's the stuff. Puu trills happily, and Yusuke, after a few minutes spent hovering overhead watching for any signs that this guy might manhandle the little bird, finally decides it's safe to relax. He then kneels down so that he and The Guy are more at eye-level with eachother, folding his arms over his knees as he goes on to ask:]
So uh, how much did you drink? You're not gonna be sick or anything, are you?
[To anyone who's seen Yusuke on a bad day, it might be a little surprising to see him taking time to check on a drunk person, especially a total stranger. What you see isn't always what you get, though, and besides, Yusuke figures that since he found this guy, he might as well make sure he doesn't, like, piss his pants or something. He'll still totally laugh at him if he tries to get him to walk and he falls on his ass or something, though :V]
