'Cause Baby, Tonight The DJ's Got Us Falling In Love Again...

Who: EVERYONE
Where: Scenic Tohjo Falls!
When: Friday, April 5 through Saturday, April 6
Summary: WHAT SUMMARY DO YOU NEED, IT'S POKEPROM
Rating: May vary by thread, please mark accordingly!
Log:

It's here! It's here! Clair's first-ever (and, Lance hopes, last-ever) Pokemon Prom is here, coming to you straight from scenic Tohjo Falls! You've packed your bags, you've hitched your rides, and now you're taking your first steps in to a super swank palatial PokeManor where, prior to now, only the pseudo-legendary best of the best had ever tread. Gosh, that must make you pretty special, huh? (Well, you and everyone else in the massive crowd that arrived along with you, that is.) Of course, you're all destined for greatness. But at the moment, your more immediate destiny is forty-eight hours of fun.

So get going!

☆ YOU ARE HERE ☆

KEY:
BLUE areas are where the bulk of the party's events will be located! As you can see, the festivities will be taking place largely outdoors, and the grounds will reflect that; there'll be the usual decorations of pretty floral arrangements, little lights, things like that. Think garden party!
GREEN areas are where guests will be staying overnight! Unfortunately, you'll be sleeping-bagging it up, since this is a house party and not a hotel party, but this is where you'll be given space to leave your possessions, claim some sleeping room, and generally crash for the night once the festivities do you in. (Note: you're welcome to try to sleep elsewhere, but Clair might catch you and disapprove. You don't want that, do you?)
RED areas are unfortunately off-limits to guests! If asked about them, anyone will tell you that those are the rooms and areas that the Elite Four have claimed for themselves, and they're sealed off tight. Please don't try to break into them anyway; you'll only be caught and punished.

AREA A is the designated Indoor Ballroom area, for the people who would prefer to class it up a little more than just your standard garden party. There's a big skylight, hardwood floors, tasteful artwork, and classy music — a little more upscale than the shenanigans going on outside, for the people who'd rather that kind of thing.
AREA B will be the area of interest for anyone hoping to sneak a little Pokemon research on the side: this is the Library/Gallery area of the house. While most of it is your standard "tall shelves of ancient identical books" fare, there are a few points of interest — a sculpture of Lugia, a painting of the Ecruteak City skyline before the Brass Tower burned down, some stone etchings of what might be Fossil Pokemon, and so on. Guests are welcome to look around a little, but burying themselves in research the whole time will be highly frowned upon, and you'll be politely encouraged to leave the library alone and go rejoin the festivities if you hole up in there for too long.
AREA C is...well, the Parking Lot. More importantly, it's where you take your Pokemon battles if you simply gotta get your battle on; keep it out and away from the house, please, and try not to make too much of a mess. Skirmishes, sorties, and sparring will be tolerated here and here alone. Do it anywhere else and you'll be facing some very displeased hosts.
AREA D is the Elite Four's Trophy Room. Please be quiet and respectful if you come up here to have a look around; it's a solemn kind of place. Here you'll find various collections of badges, ribbons, awards, and trophies put on display, with one wall devoted to each member of the Elite Four. Of particular note is a glass case with a broken Ultra Ball mounted inside; the brass plaque attached claims it's the ball Lorelei was using when she almost caught Articuno. On a lighter note, there are also pictures of the Elite Four themselves — your standard Official Portraits™, sure, but also some framed candids of them in various configurations hanging out with their Pokemon and engaged in various activities around the house (Agatha making waffles, Lance and Bruno clowning around in the pool, stuff like that).

More like he followed me.

[Puu regards the stranger's hand a little dubiously at first, but once he's sure he's not gonna try to squeeze the hell out of him or something, he comes closer and graciously allows himself to be petted. Yusuke, meanwhile, stands back and watches, ready to stage an intervention if the guy happens to get too rough with the him. At least he's not so far gone that he can't reach out and touch what's right in front of him... which, Yusuke guesses, is a relief.

Either way, he figures he better keep talking to this dude so he doesn't pass out. Granted, it might happen anyway, but... well, whatever.]

So what happened? You hit the punch bowl too hard?

Ah... He's not the only one 'round here.

[Masato is surprisingly gentle, albeit a little clumsy, with his little petting. This bird is oddly cute, very blue... It has him smiling a little, but he soon looks up, head slowly tilting in confusion.]

I di'n't hit it... just drank some. Thirsty... Tasted a little odd, though...

FFFF sorry for the delay! i didn't see this ;;;; stupid dw!

[personal profile] angerpoints 2013-04-13 07:49 pm (UTC)(link)
[Yusuke looks amused.]

Yeah, that's probably 'cause it's got alcohol in it. [A little grin spreads across his face.] What, did you not know or something?

[He's gonna guess "yes" on that one, just based on how Masato described it: "it tasted odd", as opposed to some variation of "I think it was spiked". Granted, this guy could just be really confused, but whatever. HE ASKED THE QUESTION ALREADY, IT'S OUT THERE, WHO CARES.

Puu, meanwhile, nudges at the guy's palm, having decided he's enjoying the attention. C'MON, MAN, KEEP PETTING. He doesn't get such tender treatment from his own trainer! :C]
pianosongs: (The fuck am I looking at????)

no worries!! ♥

W-what?!

[Alcohol in the punch? Masato's eyes widen a moment and he turns to look at the guy, but then glances back at the bird in front of him. It's odd, not being sure whether he's more freaked out at the fact that the punch was spiked, or wanting to pay more attention to this little Swablu...

He opts for petting the Swablu.
]

That means... Ah.

[personal profile] angerpoints 2013-04-14 03:56 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. You're wasted.

[AHHH, that's the stuff. Puu trills happily, and Yusuke, after a few minutes spent hovering overhead watching for any signs that this guy might manhandle the little bird, finally decides it's safe to relax. He then kneels down so that he and The Guy are more at eye-level with eachother, folding his arms over his knees as he goes on to ask:]

So uh, how much did you drink? You're not gonna be sick or anything, are you?

[To anyone who's seen Yusuke on a bad day, it might be a little surprising to see him taking time to check on a drunk person, especially a total stranger. What you see isn't always what you get, though, and besides, Yusuke figures that since he found this guy, he might as well make sure he doesn't, like, piss his pants or something. He'll still totally laugh at him if he tries to get him to walk and he falls on his ass or something, though :V]

[Wasted... That was another form of drunk, wasn't it? Frowning a little, Masato just continued to pet Puu, figuring it's ten times better than coming to the realization that he's not sober and it was a complete accident. But with this new person asking him about how much he had, he just sighs.]

I don't... hones'ly re'mber. 'M... not thirsty 'nymore. But I... feel a liiiiittle sour.

[And his arm's getting tired so he finally pulls away from the bird.]

I don't think we've... met before.

[personal profile] angerpoints 2013-04-17 02:22 pm (UTC)(link)
[... "a little sour", huh. Yusuke's not sure what he means by that, exactly - it's a little more vague than, you know, "yeah, I'm about to puke all over the place, GET OUT OF THE WAY" - but he scooches back a little all the same. He doesn't know if this guy's a projectile vomiter or not, but uh, better safe than sorry.]

Right. Well, uh, here's a little piece of advice for ya, next time you go to a party: if what you're drinking tastes funny, stop drinking it. Or give it a sniff test or something beforehand, at least.

[This wasn't intended as patronizing or anything, though it might have come across that way: Yusuke isn't a big partier himself (mostly because he... hadn't really had any friends up until about a year ago), but seeing as how his mother is, he's been on the receiving end of horror stories about way worse stuff getting planted in punch, anything from hard drugs to rat poison. This stuff, of course, only contains alcohol, so the only thing mentioning the possibility that it could've had something else would accomplish would be needlessly freaking this dude out, but still. STILL. Don't drink strange things at parties, kids. You might end up in the hospital, or dead, or even worse, being taken care of by a juvenile delinquent and his pet parrot.

Speaking of which, Puu seems satisfied with the amount of attention he's received from the stranger, but continues to hover by him anyway, perhaps out of concern. Yusuke, meanwhile, shakes his head at Masato's statement, and tells him:]

Nah, I was just passing by. The name's Yusuke Urameshi. You remember yours?

I'll... remember that. Thank you.

[Or he'd try, honestly. It was probably a futile attempt, as Masato could hardly remember the last faces he had seen, but it was always worth an attempt. It was useful advice, something he probably should have known. Well, it was too late now, and it would just be up to the hangover in the morning to dictate whatever knowledge he retained during this period.

At least this new guy and his little bird were nice. Yes, all that sarcasm was going right over his head and being written off as 'nice'. And Masato just smiled, nodding slightly despite the uncomfortable feeling in his stomach.
]

I know my name. It's... M'sato Hiji... Hiriji... Masa.
