[ If she spends any amount of time with Aradia, she probably will; Indy's always in her travelling team, and he's rarely inside his pokeball. Aradia gives him a nod after Kanaya gives her description, and the Haunter cackles and vanishes again.

Aradia seems pretty confident he's off to search, though. He might even bring the budew back to them. ]

He's good at covering ground quickly, since he can go through walls and things, so...

A...ghost type, right? [Kanaya can't help but smile faintly.] I suppose it shouldn't surprise me you like them.

I do! My other favourite type is fossil - that's not really a proper type, though. Indy - the Haunter who was just here - is my starter, though. Besides him I've got Fluorite, a Litwick. He's around here somewhere, too - probably with Quartz.

I didn't know there were Fossils...[Though Archeologly Aradia...it shouldn't be surprised she'd found some.]

Do you have them all just wander around?

They're prehistoric pokemon! I've got - gosh, two? Both of them came to me from other people.

Oh, not usually! Indy's usually out and about with me, and maybe one other, but this is more a special occasion. And they're all well-behaved or older, the pokebeasts I brought with me today. Malachite is looking out for everyone, and Quartz to - really, I think it's just nice for them to get to play with everyone else from time to time. I try to bring different pokemon to each party we have...

[Kanaya nods thoughtfully.] I only have Sunshine for now, but...I can't really imagine making her stay in that little ball. Or any of them, really...assuming acquire more, Karkat says I need one with...fire body?

I can't really argue with that, considering the cold.

Oh, that's a special ability, and it is a useful one for breeders - it makes eggs hatch in half the time.

I suspect I will appreciate that more once I am involved in breeding. But for now...warmth in the cold is much more important. [She grins.]

Trust me, you absolutely will! I've hatched...my, half my roster at least? It's a lot of work, but it's very rewarding. As for the cold - it usually doesn't get as bad as it did recently, but I agree. Inns are at least warm, but when you're on the road...well.

I hope so. Seeing some of the creatures everyone has...I have to admit, I am rather excited at the prospect.

It is exciting! I'm thinking of maybe trying to, oh...I don't know, start up some sort of group of breeders? To share rosters and make breeding contracts? I asked Sollux to maybe help out, and he said he would, so.

I'll be glad to help. Once I have a few additional pokemon of course. But...Breeding Contracts?

I'm not sure what the proper term for it is! I mean setting up breeding pairs with other people, if that makes sense?

Oh I see. [She gives a nod.] I suppose that gets around the artificial limitation on containment.

Yes, that's the only way I've figured around it! Jake said I can use his roster however I like for breeding, so...it'd help to have more like that, don't you think?

Speaking of - have you decided who you're travelling with after this?

Ah...no. I honestly haven't given it much thought. I didn't realize everyone would be leaving so soon.

I think staying in one place makes some of the others antsy? Well, and a lot of them are doing gym challenges...I'm not sure if we're all leaving right after or not. It sort of depends on if there's a new year's activity planned and if people are staying for it. I doubt Sollux will be too interested in that, and the sooner we leave, the sooner we'll be in Ecruteak and through the towers, so.

At the risk of giving you even more options, you can come with us! The two towers near Ecruteak are the Bell and Burned towers. There's actually a legend surrounding the two of them...

I will have to give it some thought, really. [Kanaya looks distant for a moment.] I believe Karkat wanted me to accompany him and Vanitas. But it is very nice to see you and Sollux again.

Honestly, I think you'd be welcome in any group! And it's not as though you can't change your mind whenever you like and go meet up with others. And as you can see, I'm pretty certain we'll all meet up from time to time for holidays...Humans seem to have a lot of those!

[ Aradia shifts, leaning forward, her elbows on her knees. ] I think it's different, seeing everyone outside of dream bubbles. Besides, Sollux doesn't, well - remember that, since it hasn't happened yet for him.

I'm fairly certain he knows about the dream bubbles from other people, and he always knew he'd go blind, but...well. There's no point in worrying him, I suppose?

We really need a chart for all this timeline nonsense, probably.

Yes. I suppose I should be relieved I seem to be ahead of most people on the timeline. I can't expect any particularly terrible surprises.
