SUMMARY: Breeder's Con!! Come sell eggs, goods, breed with strange pokemon you never met before, talk about shinies or egg moves, and all that jazz! Just don't mind that the decorations look like they belong at a Valentine's Day party

[ When it came to parties with little purpose such as holidays, Saber found herself often struggling with creativity. Organizing a makeshift "bazaar" however was a thing a king can do and so she did. Not that she was experienced in the matters of the market, but from the stance she took as royalty during her reign, prosperity flourished within Britain so that was reason enough to feel justified in what she was doing. While the Breeding Centre wasn't nearly large enough to host a grand event, there was still enough space with the careful arrangement of tables and chairs to accommodate a larger population than the building was used to. Most of the loose Pokemon were placed away (even the murderous Scyther) and the place was decorated in various shades of red and pink.

Nero was going to love that, wasn't she? Saber thought about adding a touch of blue, but it didn't really seem to fit the theme.

For those who may be a bit more antisocial or have things they wish to trade or sale that were too large to keep indoors, there were a few tables set up in the yard under makeshift coverings from tarp. Not the most attractive job, but Saber isn't going to force people who might be wary of large crowds. Indoors, there's plenty of warm refreshments and a hot chocolate bar. All of the unoccupied rooms of the Breeding Centre have little signs hanging from the door knob just in case anyone wants to give their mons a bit of privacy too. How considerate! ]

[John is seated on the left side of the booth, a Lampent floating next to one shoulder and a Froslass floating next to the other. John’s sporting a couple of scrapes and bruises thanks to yesterday’s attack but it doesn’t appear to be anything too serious. And he’s certainly not letting it get to him, nope! He is all smiles as usual. He is ready to tell you all about ghosts.]

[All about them]

[Behind him, a Lopunny tends to the eggs alongside Rose’s Charizard. She is ready and raring to hand these eggs out to people once they’ve paid for them. And also just to keep an eye on them in general because that’s what good mommas do! A shiny, larger than average Togekiss stands on the floor next to the booth, chirping happily at anybody who happens to walk by.]

[Since she's free at the moment to wander around the other booths to see what everyone has to get. Since her mood has went downhill after that whole attack, she needs something to distract her while she's here. She's heard of a few friends being at this place and even hosting a few booths so why not go and see them? An Unfezant and Togetic were trailing her as her Ninetails was back at the booth incase there was any help needed.]

[As Misaki wandered around, she saw John's and Rose's booth, noticing their injuries they've received from that morning.] Oh dear god.. [She muttered under her breath as she went out. Although she wanted to go up and just abruptly ask them how were their injuries, she wants to avoid that cause the point of wandering around was to take that day off her mind, not be reminded of it. Still, she goes over to have a small conversation cause its John and Rose, goddammit.]

Hey John.

[John got off pretty lucky as far as injuries go. Really, his pride was hurt more than his body. Not only were two of the attacking Pokemon his, but he let Rose get hurt too. And as a result, he'd been forced to flee without stopping his former mons. But...Rose came first.]

[Basically, he'd been woefully unprepared and caught off guard and he'd rather not think about anything that happened yesterday. Just going to focus on eggs! Yes. This is a good idea.]

[He beams as Misaki approaches, offering a small wave.]

Hey, Misaki! What's up? Enjoying the con so far?

[If Misaki ever found out that it was both John's and Rose's pokemon that she had to fend off, she wouldn't even think of coming to visit these two out of shame. For now, it'll be better not to ask.]

I'm alright. The con is nice so far too, I guess. How are you and Rose been doing?

[She was digging into her jacket pockets like a confused awkward teenager. Angel, who was looking at John with a happy grin, saw the shiny Togetic next to the booth and gasped. Is that what she's going to evolve into? Angel is SO excited..]

We'd be doing a little better if our eggs were selling but eh, it's still early. Pleeeenty of time left still. How's business over at yours? You said you had one with a couple of friends, right?

[At Angel's gasp, Cupid glanced over towards the two trainers and the Togetic. He offers her a chirp, flapping his wings a little but stays where he is. Doesn't want to get in the way of his trainer's conversation, after all! But yes, hello there!]

[Misaki noticed Angel's fidgeting on her shoulder and motioned her to stop. When she sees what Angel was getting so hyped up again, she motioned for the bird to go right over to check out the large bird. Cupid, hope you don't mind a smaller-than-average Togetic coming your way.]

Right, with Aradia and her traveling group. It's still early so there's not that much sales either. I'm considering buying a few from her pile sometime later though.

Since you seem to be lacking in sales, you wouldn't mind if I buy one from you then?

[Oh not at all! Cupid is always happy to meet new people and pokemon. Especially another of his own kind. Chirp chirp! He hops a little from side to side.]

Hehe, I might have to stop by later then, check and see what you guys have. And say hi, if nothing else. [He has a lot of pokemon after all, and he's not particularly looking for anything at the moment either.]

But I certainly would not complain if you wanted to buy something from us too. [A grin.] What did you have in mind?

[ Haruka is a very visual person. So when she sees the large Togekiss charming and wooing people to come gather, she does. ]

[Cupid is quite the charmer, it's true. Ladies did the sparkle, amirite?]

[John looks up from his gear, pausing his game of tetris. Business, yes goo-- hey wait. Hasn't he met this girl before? Hmm. Oh well, he'll worry about that later. It's time to go business man mode now.]

Why thank you! [He chuckles.] We tried to incorporate both of our interests, though Rose is really more at credit here than I am. I just made the ghosts. [Which did not take nearly as much effort as those tentacles.]

[ It never occurs to Haruka that this nice, easy-going smiling boy is the same one that tasered her and practically scared her off with crazy teeth!

Though she doesn't remember much from that incident, decidedly notching that whole month in the "everything's too weird; staying home for now" column.

So for now she has a look at the eggs available, and sees a few she certainly likes! ]

I'm sure the ghosts still appreciate it. They're quite a handful, but really rewarding, you know? Ah, but, umm, I'm interested in some eggs, actually!

[John, meanwhile, wishes he could remember those four months but really can't because it's hard to when you're a mutant and you can't talk to people. God how he wishes he could forget that incident.]

Oh definitely. Ghost types are my specialty, there's nothing more rewarding to me than raising them. Hehe. Anyway, what sort of eggs did you have in mind? [He grins, lacing his fingers together and resting his chin on them.]

[ She giggles, enjoying how enthusiastic he is with his pokemon. Really, how hard is it to wake up one morning in Johto and to not be happy when one sees all their miniature friends? ]

Oh, I'm interested in a number of eggs, actually!

One Abra egg, one Zorua egg, one Eevee "C" egg, and... [ she nods. ] one Litwick egg!

[John's eyes go a little wide at that. Clearly, he wasn't expecting such a list. Not that he's complaining.]

Wow you were serious when you said "some" were you? You're going to have your hands full, all excellent choices though. [He turns his head to his Lopunny.] Did you get all that Casey? [The bunny nods happily and sets about gathering the eggs from the pile and bringing them to the table one at a time.]

That'll be...11,5000, if I'm doing my math right, which I'm pretty sure I am. And if you have any questions about them, I will be more than happy to answer them for you.

[Well, the floating ones caught his attention. 17 walks up to the booth with his Skarmory perched on his shoulder. Oh right, he had a red bandana.]

What are those two floating?

[Man he misses his levitation.]

[John grins, gesturing first two his Frolsass and then to his Lampent.]

To my right: Crystal the Froslass, the female-only evolution of Snorunt. And to my left: Chandel the Lampent, the second stage of three of Litwick. Both are half ghost type, and I will leave it to you to guess what comprises their other typing halves.

[Little Skarmory tilted his head and watched as 17 leaned a little close with eyes leering left to right.]

One looks like fire since he's a lamp. [He leered to the other. He loved guessing games.] That one, ground right? ['Crystal' = mineral = ground. It was a good guess.]

[At the same time, John can't help but offer the bitty Skarmory a curious glance. He himself owns a pygmy Dunsparce, at least going by what the Pokedex says, but a Skarmory that small somehow seems more noteworthy.]

[Also it's kind of adorable.]

Close! You're right about Chandel, she is indeed part fire. Crystal though is-- [He's cut off as the ghost girl in question blows a stream of frozen air at Seventeen.] hehe, ice type.

[Red would returned a glare back to John. Just what is he looking at? Look how tough he is? He'll grow eventually, just watch. Pokémon outside already taunt him enough.

As for 17, he didn't flinched from the frozen air. Thank goodness Skarmory is immune to ice. The steel bird flapped his wings to divert the chill somewhere else.]

Heh, should be careful not to blow her fuse. [Pokémon characters were more interesting than their powers.] So ghosts can share different characters as well like this guy. [He thumbed Skarmory.]

[No shh, little guy he thinks you're cool just the size you are! Don't give him that look.]

Yup! There are all sorts of type combinations with ghosts. [He starts listing combos, counting off on his fingers.] Ghost/water, ghost/ground, ghost/dark, ghost/poison, ghost/flying, ghost/bug...you get the idea. Actually, most ghosts are dual-typed. In fact, there are only four pure-ghost lines.

[Finally, somewhere she can get more little minions, ern companions. Have one Ghost Princess walking by with a Jigglypuff parasol. Beside her is the little pup, Houndour. Much as she would love to troll John's injuries, that will have to wait. She caught glimpse of the Lampent and Froslass, mostly Lampent. She casually walks up to the booth before resting one hip on the side.]

Is that a ghost one?

[John looks up from idly doodling in the margins on one of his notebooks. Well that's...an interesting get up. But she has good taste, so who is he to judge.]

Which one? Actually wait, don't answer that it doesn't matter. Because both of them are half ghost. [He points to his Froslass.] Crystal here is part ice type and [He points to his Lampent.] Chandel is part fire type.

If you're interested in ghost types though, I have a couple other species available as well.

[John said the magic word. Perona leaned herself closer to the Froslass. Her tone pitched high to a childish one.]

There's ice types?! [Then she looked towards Lampent.] And this one too!
[If John could see her eyes, they dazzled. It was as if Perona was plunged to a dark mist cemetery with cotton candy like an amusement park. But when John mentioned 'other species' of ghosts, well that perked her head back to him. She nodded. This guy had no idea why of her interest.]

Show me, please~ Do they sound cute too?

Oh there are definitely more cute ghost types beyond these two. Yamask and the Misdreavous line immediately come to mind. Unfortunately, I don't have either of mine with me at the moment. Or most of my ghosts, I kind of have too many to carry with me all at once. But I do have two others with me.

[He pulls two balls off his belt, releasing his Sableye onto the table and his Dusknoir a few feet behind him. The Sableye sniffs the air, before catching sight of Perona and grinning up at her while the Dusknoir just kind of stares at her and floats.]

Gizmo is a Sableye, one of two ghosts with no elemental weaknesses due to their dual ghost/dark typing. [Gizmo puffs out his chest a little, glancing nonchalantly at his claws. Yeah, he's pretty awesome.] And Elliot is a Dusknoir. They're like the Pokemon equivalent of Grim Reapers, if the lore is to be believed.

[She kept a mental note of the names. When John released two more, Houndour barked again but this time paced himself far enough until he was between Perona's pink go-go boots. Some Cerberus he turned out to be. Meanwhile Perona's eyes continued to lit when she saw two more ghosts.]

I got Pandora for that. She's a Spiritomb. But to think there was another one but creepy looking. [Sorry Sableye, she loves you but just not as cute and ominous as Spiritomb. That doesn't mean it isn't fit to walk among with the Ghost Princess.] And so is the other one. [Sounds more like a complement. Perona pulled out her Pokédex and showed a Gastly entry.]

What about this one?

Ah you have a Spiritomb!? Awesome! You don't see many of those around, they're pretty rare. [And also adorable, John's with you on that one.] Actually, you're the first person I have met other than myself who has one. Where did you get it from if you don't mind my asking? Did you find it in the wild somewhere or go the egg route?

[John leans over, taking a glance at the screen, face instantly lighting up...even more than it already was.] That's Gastly! They're pretty common as far as ghosts go, but to be completely honest? They have always been my favorite evolutionary line. [He points to the Haunter on his shirt.] Haunters especially.

If you're interested in Gastlies though...that is one of the species I have with me today. They're kind of my pride and joy. [He's not a breeder or anything but damn is he proud of the babies his babies can make.]
