SUMMARY: Breeder's Con!! Come sell eggs, goods, breed with strange pokemon you never met before, talk about shinies or egg moves, and all that jazz! Just don't mind that the decorations look like they belong at a Valentine's Day party

[ When it came to parties with little purpose such as holidays, Saber found herself often struggling with creativity. Organizing a makeshift "bazaar" however was a thing a king can do and so she did. Not that she was experienced in the matters of the market, but from the stance she took as royalty during her reign, prosperity flourished within Britain so that was reason enough to feel justified in what she was doing. While the Breeding Centre wasn't nearly large enough to host a grand event, there was still enough space with the careful arrangement of tables and chairs to accommodate a larger population than the building was used to. Most of the loose Pokemon were placed away (even the murderous Scyther) and the place was decorated in various shades of red and pink.

Nero was going to love that, wasn't she? Saber thought about adding a touch of blue, but it didn't really seem to fit the theme.

For those who may be a bit more antisocial or have things they wish to trade or sale that were too large to keep indoors, there were a few tables set up in the yard under makeshift coverings from tarp. Not the most attractive job, but Saber isn't going to force people who might be wary of large crowds. Indoors, there's plenty of warm refreshments and a hot chocolate bar. All of the unoccupied rooms of the Breeding Centre have little signs hanging from the door knob just in case anyone wants to give their mons a bit of privacy too. How considerate! ]

Depending on how well the trainer kept track of his inventory and funds, at least.

True. Some people are not nearly as careful as they should be with those.

Though I imagine if they were the sort to be careful, they likely wouldn't have allowed their pokemon to run off with it in the first place.

It must be possible for someone to be both careful and overly indulgent. It's merely a rare combination of traits.

Though I've no doubt many Pokémon wish it could be much more common.

Well, I imagine it would suit their purposes rather well, wouldn't it?

It would, and it'd make Ghost-types more of an annoyance at the same time. That's no easy feat.

From what I've seen of those types, I imagine not.

Thankfully most trainers learn to be wary of them quickly. I remember quite a few incidents caused by their mischief.

From personal experience and friends both. Rise had her hair cut by hers, and a group caused a few days of nightmare-inducing fog during our first September, and there were those soul-stealing Shedinjas...

Ah, I've heard about the shedinja.... Though mine's never given me any trouble.

Not particularly, but if you mean those rumors about what they're supposed to do, as far as I can tell it's mostly just a story. At least, neither I nor any of my pokemon have had any problems, and it'd be impossible for everyone to always avoid seeing his back...

Perhaps other conditions must be met... Goodness knows the professors looked quite serious when they warned us about them.

Or there was something about those ones in particular. Considering it was easy enough to catch a nincada in the park, I can't imagine one of its evolved forms would be such a danger in ordinary circumstances...

Perhaps it's for the best that we don't know why that happened. Otherwise, certain people might try to replicate that event for malicious purposes.

There is that to be grateful for, yes. Some people manage to cause enough trouble as it is, it seems.

Some people would find ways to cause trouble with nothing but Magikarps and Metapods. Such creativity is almost impressive.

"Impressive" is one word for it. Though many have access to ones with considerably more potential and power, unfortunately.

And they too often have plenty of experience with trouble. Enough to bypass the local authorities.

Not that the authorities that be appear to do much to mitigate the problem, from what I've seen.

I think they have become overwhelmed by our numbers. At first, they could even manage to keep track of people who left work early.
