It's here! It's here! Clair's first-ever (and, Lance hopes, last-ever) Pokemon Prom is here, coming to you straight from scenic Tohjo Falls! You've packed your bags, you've hitched your rides, and now you're taking your first steps in to a super swank palatial PokeManor where, prior to now, only the pseudo-legendary best of the best had ever tread. Gosh, that must make you pretty special, huh? (Well, you and everyone else in the massive crowd that arrived along with you, that is.) Of course, you're all destined for greatness. But at the moment, your more immediate destiny is forty-eight hours of fun.

So get going!

☆ YOU ARE HERE ☆




KEY:

• BLUE areas are where the bulk of the party's events will be located! As you can see, the festivities will be taking place largely outdoors, and the grounds will reflect that; there'll be the usual decorations of pretty floral arrangements, little lights, things like that. Think garden party!
• GREEN areas are where guests will be staying overnight! Unfortunately, you'll be sleeping-bagging it up, since this is a house party and not a hotel party, but this is where you'll be given space to leave your possessions, claim some sleeping room, and generally crash for the night once the festivities do you in. (Note: you're welcome to try to sleep elsewhere, but Clair might catch you and disapprove. You don't want that, do you?)
• RED areas are unfortunately off-limits to guests! If asked about them, anyone will tell you that those are the rooms and areas that the Elite Four have claimed for themselves, and they're sealed off tight. Please don't try to break into them anyway; you'll only be caught and punished.

• AREA A is the designated Indoor Ballroom area, for the people who would prefer to class it up a little more than just your standard garden party. There's a big skylight, hardwood floors, tasteful artwork, and classy music — a little more upscale than the shenanigans going on outside, for the people who'd rather that kind of thing.
• AREA B will be the area of interest for anyone hoping to sneak a little Pokemon research on the side: this is the Library/Gallery area of the house. While most of it is your standard "tall shelves of ancient identical books" fare, there are a few points of interest — a sculpture of Lugia, a painting of the Ecruteak City skyline before the Brass Tower burned down, some stone etchings of what might be Fossil Pokemon, and so on. Guests are welcome to look around a little, but burying themselves in research the whole time will be highly frowned upon, and you'll be politely encouraged to leave the library alone and go rejoin the festivities if you hole up in there for too long.
• AREA C is...well, the Parking Lot. More importantly, it's where you take your Pokemon battles if you simply gotta get your battle on; keep it out and away from the house, please, and try not to make too much of a mess. Skirmishes, sorties, and sparring will be tolerated here and here alone. Do it anywhere else and you'll be facing some very displeased hosts.
• AREA D is the Elite Four's Trophy Room. Please be quiet and respectful if you come up here to have a look around; it's a solemn kind of place. Here you'll find various collections of badges, ribbons, awards, and trophies put on display, with one wall devoted to each member of the Elite Four. Of particular note is a glass case with a broken Ultra Ball mounted inside; the brass plaque attached claims it's the ball Lorelei was using when she almost caught Articuno. On a lighter note, there are also pictures of the Elite Four themselves — your standard Official Portraits™, sure, but also some framed candids of them in various configurations hanging out with their Pokemon and engaged in various activities around the house (Agatha making waffles, Lance and Bruno clowning around in the pool, stuff like that).

[It's quieter in the garden. Dave finds himself sticking it more often than the ballroom. He's never been one for fancy. It just isn't his bag of fun. So here he is, moving at the edges of things and just taking a break with a drink he made absolutely sure wasn't spiked.

Maybe it's against party rules to be in a tailored suit and not socialize, he doesn't know. He's got a lot on his mind since the concert. It reopened his eyes to all the things he had wanted to grow up and do. So what if they're only here for a short term or whatever, he could take a crack at a few of them.

He'd only brought his eevees with him - Nicki the Leafeon, and his newer one he was letting evolve on her own.]

[Outside was quiet, which was exactly why Naruto had decided to step out for a moment and take a seat for a little while.

He gets distracted though, once he spots Dave and recognizes him as someone he has spoken to on the network before.]

Hey! You're um. Dave? Yeah, Dave right!

That's right. [Dave snaps out of his thoughts and shifts to face Naruto with greeting nod. He remembers that fiasco on the network. A+ entertainment.]

Got my name right on the first try. You are doing way better than other people at this names and faces deal.

I've been really busy training! I'm glad they opened this up, we all agree it's the perfect time to do a recon mission on these leaders and stuff, try and get some info on them for the future!

[Where did John just pop up from? The ground? Who fucking knows. But suddenly he's standing next to Dave with a plate of party munchies in hand, offering a pretzel to his friend.]

[How the hell did John of all people manage to sneak up on him? Dave twitches and tries to pass off being jumpy as reaching for the offered snack.] Yeah sure. I could use a little salt in my diet right about now. Come from the ballroom or something?

[He bites into the pretzel to prevent himself from asking anything else.]

[Magic. Or something. Maybe.]

[It was probably because he wasn't explicitly trying to sneak up on Dave. It just kind of happened. Watch, he'll try a few days from now and fail miserably.]

Yeah. I got a little hungry and wanted to see what was going on out here anyway. What about you? You haven't been out here the whole time have you?

Are you kidding? What kind of guy hides from a party like that? I've been in and out. Came out for a bit to get some fresh air. [It isn't a lie. Dave has been wandering in and out of the main party. He just happens to spend more time out here than in there.]

Good, good. Because you know if that actually WAS the case, I would have been forced to take drastic measures, right?

[He would have dragged you in there and danced with you, Dave. Don't you doubt that for a second. You're too cool to be wallflowering it up.]

[After bothering people and dancing around with random people, Emily is off exploring the garden, taking a bit of a rest. Corvo the Gallade is following close behind her, with Jessamine the Eevee following not too far behind. Her other Pokemon are back at her hotel room in Violet, hopefully not causing too much chaos.

When she catches sight of Dave, recognition hits her. He's the interesting guy who talked to her when she was afraid! The one who told her about photography and things like that.

She hurries up to him with a big grin.]

[He looks up from walking the grounds at the sound of Emily's approach and turns to face her with a nod. It only takes him a minute to remember her and her interest in art.] Hey, yourself. Bet your having a blast, right?

[ Did someone say Eevees? Because there is a very wet young Eevee making a straight up dash to greet both Nicki and the other Eevee now that she's finally out of the pool. Valeria, still decked in finery complemented by silver jewelry accented by orange sapphires with her off-colored Butterfree-styled mask gripped firmly in one hand, is rather quick to move after her, skirts lifted just so and heels clacking with some sense of urgency. That is, until Valeria sees exactly who is standing by the Leafeon and Eevee her own is running up to. ]

Dave, hey!

[ And she'll be lifting a hand in greeting, genuinely happy to see him. The lack of Strider has been getting to her since he and Bro left for Olivine, far more than she'd like to admit, and she's missed her fellow early bird. The wee hours of the morning just haven't been the same without him. ]

Talk about a challenge to find. Have you been over here this whole time?

Nah. Parties are mobile things, I just followed it out into the green and fresh air. [He lifts a hand in greeting and laughs. He hadn't even been trying to be elusive.

It hadn't been too bad being away from everyone for a few days. Just him, Dirk, and Bro. For him, it had been like old times just with a new addition he treated as a very literal sibling.]

You're looking great by the way. [Bit too showy for him, but then he's been all about slim and simple. This though, worked for Val.]

[ That compliment has the corners of her mouth tugging upward that much more. Truth be told, it's a bit. She knows it is, but then, she had had her reasons for picking something as... well, showy as she had. Under normal circumstances, she might have gone for something simpler, but things haven't exactly been 'normal' in a while, if you could really call them that. Still, she's grateful. Parties like this aren't her strong suit, they aren't... well, her, so to hear she's something close to pulling it off or at least looking the part is a relief. ]

Thank you, Dave. You're looking rather handsome yourself.

[ And, of course, her Eevee would choose now to skid to a stop and bark a greeting to Dave's 'mons. A very enthusiastic greeting. Fortunately, she's not shaking. ]

[Even someone as energetic as Jade needs a break after a while, so she's chilling out in the garden for a bit. As she wanders around the garden, she sees Dave and decides to say hello!]

Hey. Got too hot in there and you're coming out here to chill out? [He raises his eyebrows at her dress. Wow, looks like they're both doing throwbacks to their session time.] Looking good as always, Harley.

[Speaking of good, he better keep drinking this punch. He managed to snag some before any possible doctoring.]

Just telling it like it is. Though stay away from the punch. You know how it is with this stuff, after a certain point in the evening if you don't want to be the asshole falling all over themselves, you don't touch the punch. [Like he really knows how it goes.]
