It's here! It's here! Clair's first-ever (and, Lance hopes, last-ever) Pokemon Prom is here, coming to you straight from scenic Tohjo Falls! You've packed your bags, you've hitched your rides, and now you're taking your first steps in to a super swank palatial PokeManor where, prior to now, only the pseudo-legendary best of the best had ever tread. Gosh, that must make you pretty special, huh? (Well, you and everyone else in the massive crowd that arrived along with you, that is.) Of course, you're all destined for greatness. But at the moment, your more immediate destiny is forty-eight hours of fun.

☆ YOU ARE HERE ☆




KEY:

• BLUE areas are where the bulk of the party's events will be located! As you can see, the festivities will be taking place largely outdoors, and the grounds will reflect that; there'll be the usual decorations of pretty floral arrangements, little lights, things like that. Think garden party!
• GREEN areas are where guests will be staying overnight! Unfortunately, you'll be sleeping-bagging it up, since this is a house party and not a hotel party, but this is where you'll be given space to leave your possessions, claim some sleeping room, and generally crash for the night once the festivities do you in. (Note: you're welcome to try to sleep elsewhere, but Clair might catch you and disapprove. You don't want that, do you?)
• RED areas are unfortunately off-limits to guests! If asked about them, anyone will tell you that those are the rooms and areas that the Elite Four have claimed for themselves, and they're sealed off tight. Please don't try to break into them anyway; you'll only be caught and punished.

• AREA A is the designated Indoor Ballroom area, for the people who would prefer to class it up a little more than just your standard garden party. There's a big skylight, hardwood floors, tasteful artwork, and classy music — a little more upscale than the shenanigans going on outside, for the people who'd rather that kind of thing.
• AREA B will be the area of interest for anyone hoping to sneak a little Pokemon research on the side: this is the Library/Gallery area of the house. While most of it is your standard "tall shelves of ancient identical books" fare, there are a few points of interest — a sculpture of Lugia, a painting of the Ecruteak City skyline before the Brass Tower burned down, some stone etchings of what might be Fossil Pokemon, and so on. Guests are welcome to look around a little, but burying themselves in research the whole time will be highly frowned upon, and you'll be politely encouraged to leave the library alone and go rejoin the festivities if you hole up in there for too long.
• AREA C is...well, the Parking Lot. More importantly, it's where you take your Pokemon battles if you simply gotta get your battle on; keep it out and away from the house, please, and try not to make too much of a mess. Skirmishes, sorties, and sparring will be tolerated here and here alone. Do it anywhere else and you'll be facing some very displeased hosts.
• AREA D is the Elite Four's Trophy Room. Please be quiet and respectful if you come up here to have a look around; it's a solemn kind of place. Here you'll find various collections of badges, ribbons, awards, and trophies put on display, with one wall devoted to each member of the Elite Four. Of particular note is a glass case with a broken Ultra Ball mounted inside; the brass plaque attached claims it's the ball Lorelei was using when she almost caught Articuno. On a lighter note, there are also pictures of the Elite Four themselves — your standard Official Portraits™, sure, but also some framed candids of them in various configurations hanging out with their Pokemon and engaged in various activities around the house (Agatha making waffles, Lance and Bruno clowning around in the pool, stuff like that).

[Pep sighs a little as she watches her Trainer]

She stops giving me condescending looks, I stop doing it back.

[looks down at Grace who nuzzles against his leg, giving him a look that says "what? Me?" With a sigh he looks back at Tony]

You two are ridiculous. Isn't that right? [talking to Pep and Amber now] Maybe we should lock them in a room together and see how that goes?

[Grace looks horrified at this idea]

[Unlike Grace, Tony looks wholly unconcerned as he drinks more.]

Wouldn't happen. You like her too much to subject her to that.

This is true. I adore her.

[smiles down at her before returning his attention to Tony]

Well, maybe you two can get along one day, but I won't hold my breath.

I'm sure she'll come around eventually.

[Because Tony is Tony, and people have to give in to his ways at least 70% of the time.]

[looks down at Grace who looks incredibly skeptical, and Steve tosses her a treat which she catches and eats slowly, forgetting about Tony]

Have you gone and danced with any of the lovely ladies and gents here?

[With Grace no longer interested in the vague rivalry they seem to have at this very second, Tony has no problem leaving it alone either.]

You know, I haven't. Mostly because no one's caught my eye yet. Anyone tried to teach you yet?

Yes, Miss Imogen taught me, I also got to dance with a very lovely woman with a beautiful name. A couple other people too, but it was during a partner pass off dance, so I didn't catch any names.

[smiles, thinking about how fun it was]

Well, I hope someone catches your eye tonight.

Sounds like a lot of fun, right there.

[Tony shrugs]

Well the last person I danced with was Pepper. So really, that's going to have to be hell of an eye catch.

[Steve feels really sad now, because he really wished Peggy could have been his first dance, but he lost that chance, and as much as he wants to not dance, he knows she'd be pissed as hell at him for it. He lost his chance with the right partner, so he decided its not worth waiting again this time, no one else would be Peggy]

I can understand that. Well, if you end up really wanting to and no one catches your eye, well if you don't mind a friend, I'd be happy to.

[smiles, but it's wistful]

[He grins, patting his back.]

Maybe if they play something fast. Thanks for the offer.

[grabs a snack and eats it, then hands one of to each of the Pokemon]

[Pep makes a noise of thanks and happily eats, as she starts to happily babble to Amber, leaning over Steve's arm to try and get Grace into the conversation too.]

But for now. Drinking, eating and generally being merry seems to be on the bill tonight.

[Grace gives Pep a look that is about to say "no thanks..." but when Amber chimes in, making motions at Grace, her look softens into forfeiting annoyance and she tugs on Steve's pants to ask to be up there, he casts her a look, the shrugs a shoulder]

You'll have to climb up.

[she decides to jump up on the table with all the grace Steve named her after, and then hefts herself up onto his shoulders, where she quietly contributes to the conversation]

Seems being the furniture for a girl party is mine.

[Tony chuckles]

Yeah, as fun as that sounds, not as... 'Fun' watching it. But you know, it makes you look... Awful cute.

[Yeah, this is kinda funny.]

[gives him a flat look, trying to suppress his amusement]

Cute isn't a word usually applied to me, but with how cute all these girls are, I guess they're cute overrides my not-cute.

[Amber wiggles around, chattering happily, her voice becoming high pitched at times while she rubs her head against Steve's chin]

Yeah, you might not think that. But I've seen some of our fan mail. There's a lot of women in New York that really think you are. Even with out a bunch of cute fluffy animals.

[Yeah, Tony is find this all amusing and cute, especially when Pep giggles at the Amber]

[thinks about the fan mail he got in the USO and while in the army, he remembers a few mentions of him being cute, wonders if the military kept any of it over the years]

We got fanmail? Already?

[Amber tells Pep all about how her dad went dancing and she met an Espeon and Grace threw her on him and he was so nice and chatted with her and she imagined she was dancing with him like dad was with the girl]

Oh yeah, we did. When everyone know's Iron Man is Tony Stark, mail for everyone shows up to Stark tower pretty fast... Along with people just standing out there, that part isn't so much fun when you're trying to rebuild that same tower.

[Pep listens intently, oh-ing and ah-ing at all the right places. as well as chiding Grace for throwing Amber, because that's mean. And says that it must have been so pretty to watch. And that Tony spend at least twenty minutes fussing with her bow so she looked pretty then just sad around after getting dressed to feel comfy.]

[furrows his brow] Will there be a secret way out?

[Grace claims that Amber is a burden to carry around and the Espeon wanted to help. Amber gushes about how beautiful Pep looks with her bow and talks about how Steve brushed her to make her so pretty and soft and that Grace did nothing to get ready. Grace mentions that she was born ready, and touches her mask]

I don't think I've ever left out the main entrance. Besides, there's always the garage entrance, the service Entrance, not to mention the landing pad and the Quinn jet hanger.

[Pep shakes her head and pats Amber's, Saying she's not a burden at all, she can't be if Mr. Rogers can carry all three of us in his arms, and tries to tell her not to be so rough. Then she tells Amber that Mr. Rogers did a great job with brushing, she can't help but giggle at Grace pointing to her mask, and calls her cute for it.]

That's good to know. I never enjoyed being bombarded with people.

[Grace scowls at being called cute, Amber plays with her ruff and fluffs it up because she's feels so pretty, and exclaims about how strong dad is to carry them all and not get tired, she adds that Pep's dad is really funny and pretty, Grace rolls her eyes at that]

I've seen the pictures of you with babies, that much is obvious. Also, kind of well, funny.

[Pep tells Amber that her Daddy says her's is a super human that's why he's so strong and that it's like magic to her. And then starts going on about her dad is so very pretty (As pretty as Amber daddy even), charming and smart.]

They put a baby in my hands, they didn't say what to do with it.

[Amber looks up at her dad because WOW a super human?! Is he like an evolved form of a normal human? So is Thor evolved too? Because Tony looks like a young evolution like Pep and herself, not evolved like Espeon.

Once she's done thinking, she tunes back in to Pep gushing about Tony, and nods when her dad is mentioned... then an idea strikes her... maybe Tony needs help evolving. Dad said she would with stones or love, so maybe Tony does too.

Grace thinks this is all silly and rest her head on Steve's, because of course he's a super human, he's better than any other human she's met. Guh, duh.]

[arrogantalloy]

Well you don't hold it like it will explode for one.

[Tony chuckles at this. Pep continues to talk about how awesome Tony and Steve are, because she really thinks they're great then stops and blinks. Then loudly exclaims that Thor is also very funny and tall.
Tony raises his eyebrow at her sudden loudness.]

Not that I can talk really. I just sign pictures for kids.
