TO VIOLET
Who: All the Ninja and tagalongs meeting up. (Anyone who just wants to see one of this crew who is in the city is welcome too!)
Where: Violet City
When: Late evening on May 8th.
Summary: Yet another new addition joins the collection of Shinobi.
Rating: PG (can be modified as needed)
Log:
Obito kind of pitied Sakura whenever she got here, if how excited Naruto was was any indicator. The guy was practically vibrating in place. Still, he was admittedly really relieved when he saw Tenten. With the whole vanishing thing Sasuke pulled he'd been kind of... worried.

[He wouldn't be a very good Sensei if he didn't give his kids a little hell every now and then. Even if that was a pretty tame tease.]
He hung up on me when I offered the same, you know.
[Clearly pretty amused at that though, not offended.]

[He might agree, but he can't tell Obito that.]

[You know you want to laugh Sensei.]

[It's not really worth chastising him for though, so... subject change.]
Sakura should be getting here soon, hm? Did you talk to her before?

Sometimes I think I'm just terrible with girls, you know?
no subject
It might not have been just you. But you can make it up to her soon enough.

I need to work on my welcome spiel.

Ahhhh you almost got the wrong Obito.
nooooooo
...You're more punctual now, at least. Mostly.
[He did have to wait a few hours for you to meet up with him, after all. But since it couldn't be helped... off the hook this time.]
What, you don't want current Obito to crash the party?
[That wasn't his fault! He just... had bad math okay?!]
nooooooo
[Not many little old ladies to help around here huh]
I have faith in you.
[...he's still teasing.]
I think you said that already :D
You're the best Sensei.
had to make my point!
So he'll just reach up and give your hair a big ruffle. Even if it was with a teasing tone, he'd still meant what he'd said.]
Maybe you should try asking Kushina for a few tips, she... ah... was fairly vocal herself when she was your age.
[Nice save.]
It's an understandable point...
But Senseiiiiii, half the time her advice comes with her giving me a noogie to rub it in.

[Horrible flashbacks to noogies. It could work.]
no subject
[He's protesting, but he's smiling too.]
no subject
[Maybe he'll just ask Kushina to have a talk with Obito himself~
But a sort of random topic change...]
I wonder why there's so many of us here. Comparatively- seems like having others from home around is somewhat rare.

But, that doesn't explain why we're here.
[ha... haha...]
Maybe there's a simpler answer for it though- perhaps after a few people had been pulled from their worlds it's... easier, somehow, for more to slip through after.
Still, it doesn't really sit well with me.

Still, he offered a smile.]
There's certainly a lot of good to be found here too, we shouldn't ignore that.

I've thought about it a lot, especially since Naruto and Shino got here. Sasuke was here for months, but those two don't remember him being gone. They don't remember him being different after either. I've seen a couple network missives about it before, actually, someone who went home and couldn't change anything from what they'd heard would happen, and other people who just couldn't remember here until they came back. So being here... is a moment out of time there.

[That's not really a question.
It was pretty disheartening to think, in a way, that their actions wouldn't really mean anything. What was the point of it? Aside from whatever it was they were supposed to accomplish here, for these people.]
Maybe that's just more reason to enjoy it while we can.
[How else would he ever know about the man his son was growing up to be? Sure he'd lose that knowledge one day but...
Still difficult to believe that ending up here was mostly a good thing, though.]
