Obito kind of pitied Sakura whenever she got here, if how excited Naruto was was any indicator. The guy was practically vibrating in place. Still, he was admittedly really relieved when he saw Tenten. With the whole vanishing thing Sasuke pulled he'd been kind of... worried.

[Finally. Finally. What had started as a lengthy casual trip had been cut short by the need to rendezvous with Sakura, the past few days mostly a blur as the group had trimmed almost a week off their travel and hurried to their decided meeting spot.

Minato never wanted to fly again.

But, although exhausted, they'd managed to arrive in one piece and once rooms had been rented and bags were dropped off Minato had decided to check out their new surroundings, plusle, shinx, and poliwag following closely behind him. (He felt kind of bad keeping them cooped up in the Pokeballs, even if they hadn't seemed to care one way or the other.)

He hadn't gone far though, settling in under a tree right outside the Inn after a quick walk around the 'neighborhood', watching with a bit of amusement as Hachi (plusle) and Takeo (shinx) chased and pounced at each other- more play than fight, burning off energy and getting to know one another.

Nice weather, snacks (surely his trail mix hadn't gone bad or anything... right?), he was pretty content to relax and unwind a little himself before their comrades arrived and things surely became a little hectic again.

A group of shinobi were rarely a calm and quiet bunch.]

[Obito, having no vested personal interest in Sakura, wandered over and dropped down beside his teacher, his lap immediately becoming home to Mokuton (His Serperior)'s head as the snakelike pokemon made herself comfortable mostly in the sun. He was a little surprised, but guessed it had to do with having kept her cooped up.]

I'm kinda glad more people from Sasuke's time've been showing up. It gets a little old being stuck back closer to our time, you know?

He's still younger than both of them, that must be difficult to get used to.

[Really, how would you have felt if derpy thirteen year old sensei had shown up?]

I'm sure it's nice to see more familiar faces, though.

Considering how stuff went... It's probably best he's younger. Stuff is... bad for him later Sensei. I'm just glad he might have reason to come back around sooner now.

Do you think we keep memories of this place when we return?

[...when they return, there wasn't exactly anything waiting for himself or Obito back home.

He had to wonder though- if Naruto remembered the path an older Sasuke had taken, but Sasuke was here, younger, and had more information available to him to make a decision...

Or is he being exposed to information that will only hurt him here, and not help him there?

I think... it's helped him, to learn some of this. He has a chance to spend time with Itachi now he wouldn't've of if he hadn't learned so... upsides and downsides. I haven't heard about people remembering, when they've gone home though.

[A certain other blond ninja is making his way over to his dad, hopping around and clearly as impatient as he always is.]

They should be, yes. I'm not sure we've been here long enough for you to be so antsy, Naruto.

Well.. we were in the Acedemy together, and then we ended up on Team 7 with Sasuke and Kaka-sensei... and when I went away with Ero-sennin she trained under Tsunade and learnt healing jutsu from her and also she's really strong and.. well. It's Sakura-chan.

[ Did someone call for cute reunions? Yes, yes they likely did.

Sakura herself is still overwhelmed by everything so far. Having only arrived a few days ago, she's been studying (read: hoarding) every bit of information she can get her hands on. In fact, her pack is likely heavier due to the impressive amount of money she blew at the first convenience store she reached. No, not on supplies necessarily, but on books and pamphlets on the world around her.

If she was going to carry her weight here, she may as well go all the way. Everyone has been a big help so far, but now it was time for her to start giving back. At least that's the way she was thinking before they arrived, but now that she's here, it's back to falling victim to her emotions.

While she won't hunt down anyone herself specifically (she's still trying to figure out how to squeeze herself in this group of people), there's no hint of coldness towards anyone who greets her. In fact, she'll snap free from her thoughts and offer a friendly greeting in that case! ]

[Once he realises that she is finally here Naruto approaches his teammate, hands resting behind his head as he wears that familiar grin. Happy and relaxed, it was a huge difference in comparison to the last time they had interacted with other in the midst of war.]

Sa~kura-chan~! Hehe. [Having her around again felt normal to him- so normal in fact that.. he didn't really have anything in particular to say.]

[ There's seeing him through the tiny screen of the PokeGear and then there's seeing him face-to-face. Both have stirred different emotions in her, but now?

At least she greets him with the same familiarity he's likely come to expect. Think fast, cause here comes a knuckle sandwich with a little less strength behind it. ]

Stupid! I was so worried I'd never see you again!

[He should have expected it. He should have, but he didn't. Which why seconds later he's hunched over, clutching his head.]

OW! What was that for!?

[ Does she even need to whip out the list? ]

Ugh--it was for you know!

[ Better let Naruto think over all the ways he's wronged her instead of naming one specific instance. Even if it was just her default way of handling her emotions. It wasn't as though she can just hug him or something. ]

I'm just so happy and relieved to see you're alright! [ So she beats him up. Sounds pretty legit. ]

I was alright until you hit me. That hurt. [Hmph. Even so, he doesn't really have it in him to keep on pouting at her. Her Sakura hitting him meant that everything was okay, mostly. Why was this team so screwed up?

Still idly rubbing his head he straightens up, moving a step closer once he's sure she isn't going to hit him again.]

So you know all about this place by now, yeah? With the Pokemon and stuff.

[While he'd been aware of Sakura's arrival, Minato had waited until she and Naruto had had time to catch up and talk before he made an appearance himself.

His son should have shown her to a room and pointed things out in town already... right?]

Looks like you made it one piece.

[ Hopefully he did, but Naruto sometimes forgets the important things. ]

Huh? [ Stiffening up at his approach, Sakura manages a nod. ] Yeah, I've traveled in harsher conditions before. This was enjoyable compared to some of the missions I've been on.

I'd take it over a trip to Suna any day.

[SAND EVERYWHERE. Or, you know, being stuck in the middle of war with three fighting teenagers. That wasn't much fun either.]

You can relax Sakura, I'm not going to ask for a report on your trip.

[haha... Hokage humor really isn't very funny.]

But if you're hungry we've got a decently stocked kitchen here. ...I can't guarantee that the boys haven't tried to eat everything yet though.

S-Sorry... [ Her shoulders slump in an attempt to appear more relaxed. ]

I wouldn't mind if they have. I'm not very hungry right now. There's a lot more on my mind besides food.

[He totally found something to keep him out of her hair, cleaning dishes and stuff when she first got back, but he finally gave her a little wave as he slipped into the open area that was being used by everyone in their group while they were here.]

[ Seeing him face-to-face is a different experience than over the PokeGear. At first she's reluctant to speak with him, but the apprehension fades quick enough. ]

It's a lot to take in, but we're raised to adjust within the circumstances so you don't have to worry about me.

Have to and want to are totally different things y'know? You're kinda family in roundabout fashion, right? You're my teammate's student, my sensei's kid's teammate, and my cousin's teammate. I mean, that's a lot of threads. Totally gives me an excuse to be concerned about you if I needed one. Also, you're really nice!

So, you know. I'm sorry about last time and kinda maybe wanna do a bit better with it from here on.

[ He's right. No matter how much it hurts to think about it, Obito Uchiha is intertwined with those she cares for most in this world and the one back home. Maybe, as selfish as it is, she can use her knowledge of him in this world to gain a better understanding of the situation.

Not that she'll remember it, but maybe here she can have those concerns of her's put to rest. ]

Yeah, I was just really overwhelmed that day. I didn't mean to be cold or get strange with you, really! [ Waving a hand as she speaks in order to draw up more personality. A distraction tactic if anything. ] I'm a lot tougher than I look.
