Catch-all party post for Tenten! She's got so much money these days that she just rented the closest thing to an onsen-and-ryokan she could find. I'll be throwing up different areas and turning comments off, so feel free to thread amongst yourselves. It's a party post, you guys know how to do the thing. Also feel free to assume that Tenten would have made arrangements around March 3rd, and worked to try to get flyers to Fly people in if necessary.

ALSO IT'S GOING TO END UP THUNDERSTORMING (thanks, weather); everyone is invited to sleep over. There will be a thread for inside shenanigans, too.

[On Tenten's request, there's several long, low tables with cushions on the floor for sitting! Rather than there being individual portions set out, there's various different Japanese dishes prepared and available for one to reach across and take what they want for their plate. There's also a few tables set up like Korean BBQ.

There's also a table for presents and a karaoke machine!]

Choose your own Tenten adventure!
01. [It's karaoke time! Surprisingly enough, Tenten can sing. Any of the pop songs that would have been on the radio, she's giving them a go. When she steps away from the mic, she's breathing a little hard, but she's beaming the whole time.]

02. [Never had Korean BBQ or crab legs (or used chopsticks) before? Tenten's there to help! Or just bouncing around from area to area greeting guests and showing them around.]

[Somebody's never used chopsticks before, and it's this loser right here. It's pretty obvious too, given the way he's fiddling with the chopsticks, trying to pick up a piece of meat to no avail.

When he spots Tenten, he gives a small sigh.]

Man, how do you even do this?

[She laughs as she drops onto a cushion next to him and pulls a pair of wooden chopsticks out of their paper sleeve.]

It's not that hard! Here, just hold them like this, [and she splits them apart to hold and show him.]

Then you just, you know... [And then she reaches across him to grab a shrimp dumpling and pop it in her mouth.]

Like this! Have you really never used chopsticks before?

[Tenten, hunny, AJ loves you, but what the hell are these stick things, and why do you get two of them? You may want to interfere, as this southerner is about to stab some of that barbecue with one of her chopsticks.]

Applejack, no!

[No no no! Tenten swoops in and grabs the other girl's wrist before she can impale that poor piece of raw meat.]

Just pick it up and put it on the grill to cook!

[Jade is staring at the meat sizzling with wide eyes. What is Korean BBQ? How does one Korean BBQ? She's also not quite so great at the whole chopstick business. She looks kind of like a lost puppy.]

Heeeelp.... [She wants to eat all the meat, but how do you eat all the meat????]

[It's inevitably Jade's hair that Tenten catches sight of first, bringing a bright grin to her face as she leans down over the other girl.]

Hi Jade!

[It feels kind of good not to be the one culturally out of the loop for once. Tenten drops onto one of the cushions next to her and tugs a pair of wooden chopsticks out of a paper sleeve and snaps them apart.]

First thing, do you know how to use these?

[Riku's leering at that karaoke machine. Leering. Unfortuantely, it's inanimate. Its defense can't drop.

He knows that Sora will probably try and goad him into singing, but no. He's not even gonna hum. Singing's not Riku's style, so he'll cautiously try and slip away from the machine, drop off his gift on the table, and hope no one asks him for a duet.

He probably looks pretty silly right now.]

H-Hey, um... What is that thing? With the weird club-looking thing sitting on it?

What, you mean the microphone?

[Riku snickers. Did this guy not have mics in his world? Well, he'll try not to judge. Different worlds have different levels of technology, after all.]

Anyway, that'd be a karaoke machine. People use it to sing.

[Usually to built in music tracks, embarrassing themselves in the process.

Guess who's cynical about public singing.]

[ Oh hey, she recognizes him. Approaching him with a friendly wave, she'll try to get in the way of anyone who might make an attempt to drag him off. ]

Hey there, we spoke before about the weird circumstances of this place.

How are you holding up?

Other than dreading Sora's next big plan to make me sing?

[He snorts, shrugging his shoulders and holding up his hands.]

Can't really complain. It's been a pretty good week overall.

[For reasons that... heh, he's not going to divulge just yet.]

And how about you?

[ darn right Sora wants him to sing. but he isn't going to yell or hoot and holler for it.

he's just going to watch. all pouty and 'how could you do this to me' ]

[Riku winces when he sees Sora pout. Darn it, Sora, not your secret weapon!

Slapping his palm over his face, he groans.]

Oh, c'mon. You really want me to sing that bad?

[Well, since there's time, Ren might as well join the party a bit more. Especially since there's karaoke, even.

Sorry, Riku, you're being ambushed when you're trying to get out.]

Not a fan of singing, leader?

I just feel awkward whenever I do it.

[He heaves a soft sigh, digging his fingers into his scalp.]

Not that it's stopped Sora from giving me that kicked puppy look.

[The food is pretty great and he can be found there from time to time, cooking up meat on the Korean BBQ, but his attention focuses on something else once he notices the KARAOKE MACHINE.

So it is rather likely that you will happen to catch the blond ninja belting out some song he has heard during his time here in route. Though surprisingly his singing voice is not bad!]

[He's taking that to mean that his singing is good, so...]

[ Every so often, Sakura will clap in order to encourage him to sing some more. The machine needs enthusiastic people to convince others to give it a shot and the more people who sing that aren't Sakura, the better. ]

What was that song about, Naruto?

I dunno, something about romance, boring stuff.

[Catchy song though and fun to sing, which is what counts.]

[The set-up is perfect in Dave's opinion. He can eat as he pleases and watch everyone make a fool of themselves on karaoke. The BBQ is interesting. It brings to mind a lot of things he hasn't gotten to do in a while. He can be found doing just that if you want to talk to him.

The present he left however, is a custom fit coat that is suitable to conceal all sorts of things. Pokemon items, weapons, what have you. To go with it is a pair of boots with metal plates in the soles to give someone stability on very narrow ledges.]

[When Tenten stops by to join him at his spot at the table, she's fresh from the karaoke machine. Surprisingly enough, maybe, she doesn't make a total fool out of herself, except for what might be a too-high level of enthusiasm leaving her a little flushed and out of breath.]

Dave! That coat is perfect. How'd you get something so close to my size?

Who do you think does the laundry in our traveling party? I'll give you a hint, you're looking at him. [Her high energy isn't too bad. He'd watched her sing and been reminded of the stage and the crowd. It had been months ago but he still can remember the sheer volume of so many people.

He loads up a plate of food for her and slides it to her.] I know a good tailor in John and Rose's town. He's quick and great at what he does. I can give his contact info.
