Log:

IMPORTANT: HOW TO USE THIS LOG

• Below is a table listing all the ID numbers of the profiles that were submitted to Project L.U.C.Y. over the course of the past week! Somewhere in here, you should see your ID number! Click it and that should link you to your dating profile.

• You should have also received a highest match ID number; it ought to be the person who shares the same first letter of the ID number as yours! Click that link on the table to be taken to their profile and meet your match!

• To peruse all the dating profiles, click "View All" at the bottom of the table, or just GO HERE!

• You may respond to more profiles than just the one we've ranked as your highest match! Though we ask that you please at least make contact with your recommended partner, you may tag out to as many additional profiles as you see fit! Take love into your own hands!

• In a similar vein, even if you did not participate in the initial sign-up and profile submission process, you may still browse and comment to the profiles! You won't get one of your own posted, unfortunately, but you're welcome to reach out and connect with the people who did!

• If you spot a coding error somewhere, please don't hesitate to let us know, and we'll get it straightened out ASAP!

That...sounds rather like someone I used to know, I think. Caught up in mysteries and puzzles and such.

And yes, I do read! As much as is proper, at least; it's not at all seemly to have one's nose in a book all the time, of course.
samsa: (Pleased □ that actually went well)

[personal profile] samsa 2015-02-14 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
[Kaneki, take notes.]

What types of books do you like to read when you do, then?
occultigen: (UNSURE ⚜ fighting crime in a nightie)

[personal profile] occultigen 2015-02-14 08:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, books of poems and some of the classic plays, certainly, and...of course, ones on good housekeeping and whatnot.

[And sometimes romance novels, but you can't just say that, especially not to a stranger.]
samsa: (Hee □ idk I just thought this was cute)

[personal profile] samsa 2015-02-14 08:51 pm (UTC)(link)
I see! You know, I think I have come across a few poem books at the bookstore recently. There may be some of classic plays as well, but...some books here seem to be themed differently than they are back home. It's, uh...interesting.

[I mean, who doesn't want to read something written by Shakespearow?]
occultigen: (DISTANT ⚜ did i leave the gas on)

[personal profile] occultigen 2015-02-14 09:07 pm (UTC)(link)
I suppose there's likely a great deal more literature out there than I'm used to, anyway; a century and then some is a long time to build up a body of work, I would imagine.
samsa: (Blank □ I borrowed this coat)

[personal profile] samsa 2015-02-14 09:23 pm (UTC)(link)
[Huh...well that's interesting.]

A century?

Where are you from, if you don't mind me asking? ...if that's too personal, though, you don't have to tell me.
occultigen: (PROFILE ⚜ fuck these stupid hair wispies)

[personal profile] occultigen 2015-02-14 09:29 pm (UTC)(link)
From London, actually! When...last I recall, we were just coming up on the Queen's Diamond Jubilee — the year was 1897.
samsa: (Surprise □ my outfit keeps changing)

[personal profile] samsa 2015-02-14 09:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow...that's really interesting. I knew that people could come from any place and any time, but you're the first person I have talked to who is from that far back.

Do you like it in London?
occultigen: (CHARM ⚜ no time for obstinate men)

[personal profile] occultigen 2015-02-14 09:48 pm (UTC)(link)
[Answer: no.]

I do! It's very pleasant there. Have you ever been, or...?
samsa: (Startled □ Hide what is that)

[personal profile] samsa 2015-02-14 09:56 pm (UTC)(link)
I haven't, but I have read about it before. It sounds like a nice place. I've never traveled outside of Japan before, actually...

...though I guess if you count being here as traveling, then I have.
occultigen: (UNSURE ⚜ fighting crime in a nightie)

[personal profile] occultigen 2015-02-14 10:11 pm (UTC)(link)
I've only seen pictures in the albums of Japan before, myself, but I'm told it's a pleasant enough place itself.

It's...rather far away from where I live, of course.
samsa: (Bluffing □ with a forked tongue)

[personal profile] samsa 2015-02-14 10:17 pm (UTC)(link)
It is a nice place. Busy...but that's expected of most big cities, I think. I would recommend visiting to anyone, if you ever thought you would get the chance.

[...as long as you're not going to his Japan, of course. You'd probably be fine.

Probably.]
occultigen: (PONDER ⚜ or i could stab him in the face)

[personal profile] occultigen 2015-02-14 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Does it look very much like any of the cities here?
samsa: (Contemplative □ that book was so bad)

[personal profile] samsa 2015-02-14 10:43 pm (UTC)(link)
It depends on where you are. Goldenrod is big and populated enough to be a lot like Tokyo. To tell you the truth, though, the only places I've been so far are New Bark and Goldenrod, so I couldn't say about the other cities.
occultigen: (UNSURE ⚜ fighting crime in a nightie)

[personal profile] occultigen 2015-02-14 10:55 pm (UTC)(link)
...Well, and Cherrygrove, surely. There's no place to stay in New Bark, and when one must go somewhere, it's really the only city to head for, isn't it?
samsa: (Lying □ I ain't no truther)

[personal profile] samsa 2015-02-14 11:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Actually, some...friends of mine here arranged it so I would be brought straight to Goldenrod. It was snowing pretty heavily when I first got here, and I'm not sure if I would have been able to travel through it.
occultigen: (FAINT ⚜ good thing this couch was here)

[personal profile] occultigen 2015-02-14 11:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I see. How very kind of them.
samsa: (Eyepatch □ my eye does this thing)

[personal profile] samsa 2015-02-14 11:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it was. I was a little surprised to...see them here in the first place, actually.

[For more reasons than one.]

Is there anyone here from your home?
occultigen: (DISTANT ⚜ did i leave the gas on)

[personal profile] occultigen 2015-02-14 11:20 pm (UTC)(link)
...There isn't, no. At least, I've not seen or heard of anyone in all the time I've been here.
samsa: (Bluffing □ with a forked tongue)

[personal profile] samsa 2015-02-14 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)
I see. Well, they may show up sooner or later, during your time here.

[He pauses for a moment there, then continues.]

I'm sorry...I've been talking to you all this time and I haven't even asked you your name.
occultigen: (SHIVER ⚜ 'cause this is thriller night)

[personal profile] occultigen 2015-02-15 12:03 am (UTC)(link)
[There's something of a long pause on her end, as well, after he sends those particular messages — long enough for her to remind herself that she's fine, and safe here where she is, and that she'll not be under any sort of threat from them even if they do arrive someday.]

Perhaps so.

As for my name...I am Miss Meridiana Everett. It's a pleasure, Mr. Ken.
samsa: (Grin □ you say that to all the boys)

[personal profile] samsa 2015-02-15 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
[Ah...it takes him a moment to respond to that, given that he's never been called...Mr. Ken, before.]

It's nice to meet you too, Everett-san. Since you are in Goldenrod, maybe I will run into you sometime. I'm usually at the bookstore a lot when I'm out.
