IMPORTANT: HOW TO USE THIS LOG

• Below is a table listing all the ID numbers of the profiles that were submitted to Project L.U.C.Y. over the course of the past week! Somewhere in here, you should see your ID number! Click it and that should link you to your dating profile.

• You should have also received a highest match ID number; it ought to be the person who shares the same first letter of the ID number as yours! Click that link on the table to be taken to their profile and meet your match!

• To peruse all the dating profiles, click "View All" at the bottom of the table, or just GO HERE!

• You may respond to more profiles than just the one we've ranked as your highest match! Though we ask that you please at least make contact with your recommended partner, you may tag out to as many additional profiles as you see fit! Take love into your own hands!

• In a similar vein, even if you did not participate in the initial sign-up and profile submission process, you may still browse and comment to the profiles! You won't get one of your own posted, unfortunately, but you're welcome to reach out and connect with the people who did!

• If you spot a coding error somewhere, please don't hesitate to let us know, and we'll get it straightened out ASAP!

Start with the mechanics of magic in your world?
tearsofademon: (to reveal what you've found)

Well, let's see. To put it simply first, magic is done by manipulating the energy flow of the world to do what you want it to. It usually takes about a year of training to see it, but where I'm from, the energy in the world takes the form of... well, a student of mine called it "glowing fluffy stuff" once, but they're usually called "spirits". You manipulate the spirits into specific patterns, and you can make all sorts of things happen.

[It takes him noticeably longer to get this one out, mostly because has he bothered to actually teach himself to type properly yet, of course he hasn't, why would he bother, because he is a lazybutt.]

Interesting. Let me ask you this - once you have the ability to see magic - manipulating what you want the 'glowing fluffy stuff' does that take will and concentration? And only limited to your mind?
tearsofademon: (all my life I wonder)

Kind of? It can be a little exact. You have to know what you're doing when arranging the spirits, or the magic fizzles out, and most people take ages to learn even one spell reliably.

But if you're good enough, and have enough patience... yeah. There aren't a lot of limitations, aside from how exacting it can be.

[or, you know, if you happen to be a genius who was also born with magic eyes that let you analyze magic instantaneously allowing for skipping a bunch of steps, but that's not important here, and it's not like he talks about that anyway]

Mmmm. How tedious. But then I suppose my own research back in my world could be called the same thing.

[Considering the years he put into that but how he would love to have magic still of his own and how he even sometimes even envies his own Pokemon]

What about you? How long did it take you to learn?
tearsofademon: (when our tale was begun)

I may have had a bit of an advantage...

[This text takes slightly longer than the others.]

Some stuff I was born with. I don't really want to talk about it.

Suit yourself.

... Would be interested about the magic in the world I come from?
tearsofademon: (I'll be content with my share)

Sure, if you want to talk about it.
