Summary: It's Rise's birthday. And with the Fourth Wall wackiness, she forgot to tell anyone. So here's a depressed Rise who now feels too awkward telling anyone.


Locked Prompt for Crocker

[Rise had found a bakery in the quieter part of Goldenrod. She was sitting at a table in the corner, surrounded by her Pokémon. Her Sylveon, Himiko, and her Umbreon, Chiisai, sat on either side of her, and a newly evolved Glaceon, Jin, laid beside Chiisai. Her ever present Meowstic, Nanako, was trying to cheer up her trainer by floating a burning candle and making it move in complicated patterns.

There was a very small smile on her face, though she still looked sad.]

[Rise's out and about town now, her usual smile very brittle. She'll nod to people she knows, but keeps walking, her Pokémon always at her side. If anyone pay attention, she's wearing a pair of black glasses, with small bands of color on the frames, a red Alice band, and a set of headphones around her neck. There's also a blue hat attached to a studded belt, buttons on the hat, and a random red rose attached to the band in her hair, and last, a black tie with barrettes attached. (Of course she's wearing clothes to match this look) These are not the usual things she wears, but items from her friends. She had wished for keepsakes from home, and they had been on her bed that morning.

At least something was going right today. Her thoughts are all over the place, so it'll be hard to get her attention.]

We can't just stay in the photo-booth all day. We can always go be comfortable in a bed later or something.

[She gives a small, warm smile.]

[She laughs softly and nuzzles her.] We can get comfy again later.

[And off they go, stopping by the bakery to pick up Rise's birthday cake. After taking it home and eating admittedly too much of it, the girls decide to turn their attention back on each other.

Kairi hugs Rise's arm tight, following her as they walk.]

So... which room is yours?

[The cake been even tastier sharing it with someone Rise was very at ease with. She leads her to a room with a few beds, but vacant otherwise. She was the only occupant at this time being one of a few girls that worked for Honeyed Souls.]

[Kairi understands the feeling. When she arrived, there were so many empty rooms in the training center. Now the place is bustling with life.

She follows Rise into her room and takes a seat at the edge of her bed.]

[She walks over to the window and closes the curtains.]

The other girls who work here are all traveling, and Botan-san has her own room. I've never met the other girls I work with... Maybe one day.

[She stretches and sees her Pokémon scattered about the other beds.]

Do you want to let Twinkle out? She might be more comfortable that way.

Good idea, she probably won't want to sleep in there.

[She takes the ball from her pocket and lets the little star-shaped creature out. Twinkle shakes herself to puff out her fur, flapping her tiny wings to propel herself into Kairi's lap.]

Hey Twinks. [She scratches her ear.]

[Rise gasps softly and walks over.]

S-So cute... She looks like a purse I got as a present from Crocker-san... Those wings.... Can I pet her?

[Twinkle stands up in Kairi's lap, her hands on the fuzzy equivalent of her hips. She looks Rise up and down. Are you worthy to pet the Twinkie?

Eh, sure, why not. She gives a quick little bounce before fluttering gently into Rise's lap.]

[She squeals softly after sitting down, now having a Clefairy in her lap. So cute...]

[She gently pets her head and looks her over.]

Those wings are so tiny, but they're perfect.. oh, I hope Momomi is as cute as you when she evolves!

Clefairy are the absolute cutest. It really surprises people when she beats up everyone's pokemon.

[Twinkle gives a nod and looks up at Rise. Yeah, that's right, so you better be nice to her.]

Who needs big scary dragons when you can beat them up with puffballs.

[She reaches over to stroke Twinkle's ear.]

Of course I'll be nice to her. I promise.

Everyone underestimates Himiko until she takes them down.

Me either! I'm definitely going to beat more gyms with Himiko!

She gets up and carries Twinkle over to a sleeping Himiko.]

This is my Sylveon, Himiko. Want to sleep beside her? She's a great cuddle buddy.
