Now I have to wonder if there are any books written by Pokemon.

I suppose it's possible in theory, though it seems unlikely. Writing a book is a rather more complex and involved process than simply filling out a form or submitting a response through the pokegear, after all. Aside from writing the entire manuscript, it's also necessary to have the book printed and, ideally, distributed to various stores at which it can be sold. Considering that many people who have ambitions to do all that still don't always succeed, I imagine it would be even more difficult for a pokemon to accomplish the same.

I'm sure if my Pokemon ever wrote anything, Burger would write a long anguishing story about how I don't give him half of whatever I'm eating.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that, precisely. It's more simply the matter that I happen to have dabbled in such things myself prior to my arrival here.

I suppose however if he were to write such a story, well, it wouldn't be impossible to make a fairly compelling narrative, though whether it would appeal to many is another matter entirely.

I'm sure it would appeal to plenty of other spoiled Pokemon if they knew how to read.

Perhaps it would, though of course that would require that they both be capable of reading, and that their trainers would think to purchase the books in the first place. Unless, of course, they've already also learned how to make purchases on their own with their trainer's money, of course.
