[Anywhere in Johto and Kanto, there are people interacting. Some of these strangers interacting with other strangers. Some of these folks are your old friends. The insanity has happened yet again, and boy will it be insane.

In short, this is The Ultimate Mingling post version 2, where everyone can run into each other again and again. Damage will only sometimes be repaired, but it doesn't matter--have fun with it! It's primarily for those in the fourth wall who run into another oddball from some other mythical land who's going "What's this place?" just like them, but for everyone who wants to just continue going nuts. Seriously guys, why did you guys let Sunny even bother writing a description. JUST DO FUN THINGS.

But try not to blow up the world, okay?

Again, little real explanation for that. Time shenanigans is the best way to put it. Just as you remember me being with you only a few minutes ago back home, it's been a while since I've seen you. Well, admittedly not too long, as I took a week long trip back home for a while, but still.

Point being, time shenanigans. I am from our three year trip on the meteor, for instance, while John? Why, John hasn't even reached godtier yet. Do you know how long ago that was? [[She can't help but chuckle.]]

There are some further along the timeline as well. But I've been here for about two years total now. Well, alright, not until late January, but that's only two months away at this point.

Pokemon...you know what Fiduspawn is, correct?

[Kanaya isn't the biggest fan of Time Shenanigans. It had taken her long enough just to get the hang of using trollian to keep tabs on Rose and the other humans, and what she'd seen of Strider using his time powers had been enough to completely turn her off the idea. But it did explain...some things. Sort of. Not in any way she was happy with.]

Two...years. [She frowns. What was she supposed to say to that, really?] If you say so. [She filed away a few questions for later. Did that mean Rose was older than her now?]

Uh. That was that game Tavros talked about. I know of it, what does it have to do with these?

[[Rose, at this point, has just stopped caring. This is just a Johto Thing and everyone gets used to it eventually. Unless they're not here long enough to care. And then they don't. Shrug shrug.]]

In a small way, Fiduspawn is like Pokemon. In our world, Pokemon was just a game we played. Or a cartoon we watched when it was on in the mornings before school. Not that I partook in the television portion, but I did play the games a little whilst it was a fad with the other three. You own creatures, use them to battle and win against others, and save the world through the power of friendship.

Save the world through the power of friendship. [Kanaya almost laughs, then peers down at the little plant thing again. The Roselia hops up and down a few times, and Kanaya reaches down to pick her up, which immediately results in her being hugged around the neck. After a few seconds she shrugs, and pats it on the back.]

So it's a game. But why are we here? The meteor... [She frowns faintly.] We can't stay here, we were almost there, we...[Were on a really strange date?] have things to do.

It is a game, and I have no idea why we're here. But there's no way to get back of our own volition. If we return home, it's completely random, whether or not we actually want to go home. [[Rose still seems pretty cheery, though she's at least looking a bit sympathetic now.]]

That's a Roselia, by the way. Likely the Pokemon that Johto gave you to start with.

[She holds the little pokemon out in front of her, under her arms, and it gives her a little polite wave. After a few seconds she sets it down, and it settles down happily at her feet.] I don't know what I am supposed to do with her. [She shrugs and looks back at Rose.]

So we're just...here until we're not. And then we go back. [Time shenanigans.] Wait. Do you not want to go back? [She picked up on that, Rose.]

Well, generally what you do with your Pokemon is travel. Meet other Pokemon, meet other people, make friends, battle gyms. Perhaps breed your Pokemon if you're so inclined. Roselia is your companion or friend. And yes, essentially. [[She shrugs a little at that last question.]]

I know there are things we need to do back home and honestly, I do want to help finish them. But if I were given a choice? I've grown very attached to life here. Living with friends where we aren't constantly fighting for our lives or facing our certain doom. Seeing them well, being well myself. Being able to actually be a teenager rather than forced to be an adult none of us were ready to be.

I mean...dead friends are revived here. Equius? Nepeta? Vriska? They're all here right now. As if nothing ever happened to them. Dave's elder brother is here, not a scratch on him.

It's...it's nice.

[Kanaya was quiet through Rose's entire explanation, because really, what could she say? She looks down at the Roselia a few times, trying to decide if exploring a world with a little plant following her around was really something she even wanted to do. Was it? She honestly didn't know. But there was certainly a lure to it, a new place to explore that wasn't the meteor, no conflict, no Jack chasing them, no...well.]

Oh. [She shifted slightly as she tried to decide what she should say to that.] I can't really see any way to argue with that. [The thought of seeing Vriska again was an odd one, certainly. Or any of the others. Alive?] That would all take some getting used to. [And something Rose had said earlier settles into her brain.]

But you said trolls are human here, and I am very obviously not.

[The glow was probably a dead giveaway, if the horns weren't enough.]

Well, at the moment, neither are they. Or well, at least the ones I've seen today. Vriska is flitting around enjoying being God Tier once more. Karkat can be found around as well, troll once more and...also God Tier, strangely enough. I've met his ancestor now, too, who was also a troll.

Today is a day full of very strange things, I'm coming to find.

Hmm. So I may turn into a human. [Well that was a bizarre thought. From Troll to Rainbow Drinker to Human. Was that a step up or a step down? Probably down, really, but at least the humans apparently had a future here, and a species.]

...But what about the things we are supposed to do back in the new session? I...understand what you're saying, I do, but I came with you because we are supposed to find another matriorb and I am not going to find it here.

Well, it's things like that that I do wish to return for. To an extent. But again, I've been here for two years. Honestly, most of those two years were spent before I had ever gotten to know any of you. When I first arrived? I hadn't even entered the game yet. And it wasn't until...a year and a half or so later that I'd gone back home to catch up.

Which, by the way, I would advise against doing. Fitting that much information into only a weeks worth of slumber here takes a lot out of you.

Honestly, I believe the fact that I have no control over leaving has left me...with less of a desire to worry about it. I can't control it - and trust me, I've tried - so fretting over what there is still to do back home is a pointlessly tiring endeavor.

[Telling Kanaya not to worry was like telling water not to be wet, but she supposed she could try. And most likely fail, but still try. Still, what Rose said...she'd been here longer than she'd been involved with any of them, really. What did that mean? And the obvious question...]

...What is the last thing you remember, then?

[[You can do it, Kanaya. Rose has faith in you!]]

Mmm...listening to Aranea and Meenah explain their situation to us. Watching Jake tackle and then proceed to beat the crap out of the aforementioned Peixes. And Aranea needing to give his head a bap to wake him up and therefor send him home before he did too much damage.

[Oh. Well, at least one of them does.] That was some time ago, for me. Almost a year.

[Although that certainly makes things less awkward. or more awkward, depending. She would just have to not say anything.]

...I will say it is nice to see the sun again. [A change of subject, perhaps?]

Goodness, a year? Hmm... [[She thinks for a moment, but then Kanaya says something about the sun and she can't help her grin.]]

Isn't it lovely? It's like this a lot. The summer is nigh unbearable heat-wise, but the sun is at least always out. It's almost winter now, meaning the temperature is dropping quickly and it'll be overcast often. But really, you should see Johto in the summer.

It's absolutely stunning. I believe you would love it.

Maybe...If what you say is true I may not have a choice in the matter. Given how long you have been here.

[A little pause.]

Is this whole world full of humans?

Well, given your tendency to appear and then leave, maybe you won't. You've been here...three times now? I'm fairly certain it's been three. It's been a very long time since you've been here last though, so I could be wrong.

And yes, it is. Or...well, humans or humanized creatures. Just like trolls, anyone who isn't a human is turned into one upon arrival. Jade's dog showed up at one point and was just as human as the rest of us.

[What? On both counts? She had seen Jade's dog through the cameras before, and it was hard to imagine the strange green creature being anything except a dog. Or a dog-girl. Humans were weird. But the rest of it...]

I have never been here before, Rose. I would remember a world full of humans. [She was sure of that, at least.]

Ah, that is where you are incorrect, Kanaya. Yet another lovely feature of Johto is that, sometimes, those who leave and return don't always remember their time here. It's a pretty hit and miss situation.

Hmm. Like doomed timelines. [She wasn't a fan of that, but it did explain being here and not remembering, if it was her but wasn't her. She hated shenanigans so much.]

Was I similarly as behind in the timeline as you say you were yourself?

To me, not at all. As I was still so very far behind when you were here. Some of our friends were further than you, some where behind, but you were...I know one was after dealing with Eridan. I distinctly remember you trying to do so a second time after he had been extremely insensitive over the public network about the situation that earned him your ire in the first place.

[Kanaya's eyes immediately narrow at the mention of Eridan. She hadn't thought about him in a long time, but that didn't make the anger at him killing disappear. Killing him back had been...cathartic...but it would never make it go away completely.]

He most likely deserved it. He always deserves it.

[Wait.]

He isn't here, right?

Oh I have no arguments there. He deserved it then, and he deserves anything his actions earn now or in the future as well. And, unfortunately, he is quite here. But he at least seems to have someone keeping a short leash on him.

...You mean they're preventing him from going around murdering people? I find that hard to believe, he seemed to enjoy it so much.

[Yes she's bitter.]

[ooc: Dealing with her becoming a human and not being an undead glowing vampire could also be entertaining.]

Not only that, but they're managing to coerce him into being - I know this is hard to believe but bare with me I've seen it myself - civil.

Trying to find her 'non-quirk, non-text' voice is a bit strange, to be honest.
