[ At some point in the night Aradia is just going to give up as well, especially when she spots the pokemon moving it. She hasn't quite hit that point just yet, so she does spot the mistletoe - she's yet to find a door that's missing any, really.

Still, Kanaya gets a smile, even if it happens to be a somewhat rueful version. ]

It's fine, Kanaya. We're all a bit crowded here, aren't we? And people being circuitous because of our plant problem doesn't much help things.

[Kanaya actually laughs softly at that description of the other partygoers.] I watched someone go out a window earlier, and return through a different window, just to avoid them.

[She shakes her head.]

It doesn't seem worth all of that effort, even if it is...ah...somewhat embarrassing.

[ ...Wow, that's not even something Aradia had considered doing. ] I've mostly just been trying to look up while I walk, which - well, I stopped that after a while.

[ Because wow that's a great way to trip. But Aradia does laugh after a second. ] I suppose I've mostly been lucky? I haven't been caught with anyone particularly...hm, I don't know! I've gotten off with cheek kisses, I guess. You?

[Kanaya frowns faintly and her eyes darken, though she tries to cover it up by taking a sip of her drink.]

For the most part I have accomplished the same. I did, however, run into Gamzee.

[ ...Oh dear. ]

And...how did that go?

It was...[She's quiet for a moment.] Exceedingly unpleasant.

I feel as though I washed my face for half an hour afterwards. But I was successful in removing him from the doorway he was lecherously blocking.

[And she hadn't even kicked him in the crotch or anything!]

"Lecherously blocking"?

[ Does she want to know or - well, really, she doesn't need to know. ] Speaking of blocking, we're sort of doing that ourselves...

He was standing beneath the mistletoe in a doorway, preventing anyone from passing until they...

[She just wrinkles her nose, and then blinks in surprise.]

Oh! I hadn't...erm. [Right, mistletoe. Stupid human traditions.] Ah.

[ Laughing a little bit, because. Well. ]

I hope you don't think I was doing the same! I really should just pick a room and stay there.

It would probably be better if we all did that, but then the pokemon would simply begin moving all the mistletoe to wherever we happened to be sitting.

[She just shakes her head and smiles.] No, of course not. Still, I suppose we must follow these human traditions.

[Which most likely would have meant a kiss on the cheek, honestly, but after the strange day she's been having, cheek kisses, making out with gamzee and now some alcohol, Kanaya isn't quite as organized in her thoughts and palns as she'd like. Which is why she leans down and gives Aradia a small kiss on the lips instead.]

...You know, you're probably right. [ She has to laugh a little at that, too. At least the pokemon are getting into the festivities?

Her laugh is interrupted, but Aradia doesn't react badly to the kiss; she returns the small little traditional kiss, although she has to lean up to meet Kanaya halfway, before looking around for an area that seems mistletoe free - there, that couch looks good.

She'll point it out with a questioning look. ]

[Kanaya might look a tad embarrassed, as she hadn't been planning to do that until she had actually done it. So she's grateful for the wordless point, and just give a nod and head over to it.]

I think Indy might be helping out with the moving mistletoe around, too. He does like playing jokes on people...

[ Sigh. Starter, you and your shenanigans. Aradia's going to take a seat and sort herself and her drink out. ]

I suppose I am lucky Sunshine cannot fly. [She glances around as she sits, suddenly realizing she hasn't actually seen her pokemon in some time.]

...I wonder where she went...

Maybe with the other pokemon?

[ Aradia's got a handle on the locations of everyone except Indy, who generally comes back to her pretty quickly, anyway. He's been mia for ten minutes, tops. ]

Maybe. Hopefully. [She is a tad worried.] First time I allow her to roam free, and I lose her.

[She is the worst parent.]

Well - Oh! [ And hopefully Kanaya doesn't mind a Haunter popping into visibility right beside them. ] There you are!

If you like, Indy can go and check to see where she's at?

[Blinkblink. Right. Ghost Pokemon. She was never going to get used to this.]

Ah, yes, thank you. She is a budew. About this big. [She holds her hands out.]

[ If she spends any amount of time with Aradia, she probably will; Indy's always in her travelling team, and he's rarely inside his pokeball. Aradia gives him a nod after Kanaya gives her description, and the Haunter cackles and vanishes again.

Aradia seems pretty confident he's off to search, though. He might even bring the budew back to them. ]

He's good at covering ground quickly, since he can go through walls and things, so...

A...ghost type, right? [Kanaya can't help but smile faintly.] I suppose it shouldn't surprise me you like them.

I do! My other favourite type is fossil - that's not really a proper type, though. Indy - the Haunter who was just here - is my starter, though. Besides him I've got Fluorite, a Litwick. He's around here somewhere, too - probably with Quartz.

I didn't know there were Fossils...[Though Archeologly Aradia...it shouldn't be surprised she'd found some.]

Do you have them all just wander around?

They're prehistoric pokemon! I've got - gosh, two? Both of them came to me from other people.

Oh, not usually! Indy's usually out and about with me, and maybe one other, but this is more a special occasion. And they're all well-behaved or older, the pokebeasts I brought with me today. Malachite is looking out for everyone, and Quartz to - really, I think it's just nice for them to get to play with everyone else from time to time. I try to bring different pokemon to each party we have...

[Kanaya nods thoughtfully.] I only have Sunshine for now, but...I can't really imagine making her stay in that little ball. Or any of them, really...assuming acquire more, Karkat says I need one with...fire body?

I can't really argue with that, considering the cold.

Oh, that's a special ability, and it is a useful one for breeders - it makes eggs hatch in half the time.
