It's here! It's here! Clair's first-ever (and, Lance hopes, last-ever) Pokemon Prom is here, coming to you straight from scenic Tohjo Falls! You've packed your bags, you've hitched your rides, and now you're taking your first steps in to a super swank palatial PokeManor where, prior to now, only the pseudo-legendary best of the best had ever tread. Gosh, that must make you pretty special, huh? (Well, you and everyone else in the massive crowd that arrived along with you, that is.) Of course, you're all destined for greatness. But at the moment, your more immediate destiny is forty-eight hours of fun.

So get going!

KEY:

• BLUE areas are where the bulk of the party's events will be located! As you can see, the festivities will be taking place largely outdoors, and the grounds will reflect that; there'll be the usual decorations of pretty floral arrangements, little lights, things like that. Think garden party!
• GREEN areas are where guests will be staying overnight! Unfortunately, you'll be sleeping-bagging it up, since this is a house party and not a hotel party, but this is where you'll be given space to leave your possessions, claim some sleeping room, and generally crash for the night once the festivities do you in. (Note: you're welcome to try to sleep elsewhere, but Clair might catch you and disapprove. You don't want that, do you?)
• RED areas are unfortunately off-limits to guests! If asked about them, anyone will tell you that those are the rooms and areas that the Elite Four have claimed for themselves, and they're sealed off tight. Please don't try to break into them anyway; you'll only be caught and punished.

• AREA A is the designated Indoor Ballroom area, for the people who would prefer to class it up a little more than just your standard garden party. There's a big skylight, hardwood floors, tasteful artwork, and classy music — a little more upscale than the shenanigans going on outside, for the people who'd rather that kind of thing.
• AREA B will be the area of interest for anyone hoping to sneak a little Pokemon research on the side: this is the Library/Gallery area of the house. While most of it is your standard "tall shelves of ancient identical books" fare, there are a few points of interest — a sculpture of Lugia, a painting of the Ecruteak City skyline before the Brass Tower burned down, some stone etchings of what might be Fossil Pokemon, and so on. Guests are welcome to look around a little, but burying themselves in research the whole time will be highly frowned upon, and you'll be politely encouraged to leave the library alone and go rejoin the festivities if you hole up in there for too long.
• AREA C is...well, the Parking Lot. More importantly, it's where you take your Pokemon battles if you simply gotta get your battle on; keep it out and away from the house, please, and try not to make too much of a mess. Skirmishes, sorties, and sparring will be tolerated here and here alone. Do it anywhere else and you'll be facing some very displeased hosts.
• AREA D is the Elite Four's Trophy Room. Please be quiet and respectful if you come up here to have a look around; it's a solemn kind of place. Here you'll find various collections of badges, ribbons, awards, and trophies put on display, with one wall devoted to each member of the Elite Four. Of particular note is a glass case with a broken Ultra Ball mounted inside; the brass plaque attached claims it's the ball Lorelei was using when she almost caught Articuno. On a lighter note, there are also pictures of the Elite Four themselves — your standard Official Portraits™, sure, but also some framed candids of them in various configurations hanging out with their Pokemon and engaged in various activities around the house (Agatha making waffles, Lance and Bruno clowning around in the pool, stuff like that).

[He barely gives Amber a glance before reaching out to pat her, Pep taking the chance to walk down his arm where she fusses at Steve's shirt for a second to straighten the collar, then slips down onto his arm, to say hello to Amber.]

I was anonymus enough at M.I.T. I think I'm good to miss it here.

[Tony swirls his glass a little before taking a sip.]

Just have a big meal before hand, you'll be fine.

[This is the tone and words of someone with so much experience in that field.]

[Amber gives Tony a sad look before Pep comes over, giving a happy squeal at her favorite Tony Pokemon ever to ever exist and she's so very happy, chattering at her how pretty she looks with her bow and shows off the mask that Steve is letting her wear]

I'll keep that in mind the next time I feel like drinking.

[feeds Amber a treat and offers another to Pep]

[If Tony sees the sad look he doesn't comment on it. Putting his hand in his pocket as Pep gets comfortable against Steve why being equally excitable to compliment the mask and gushing about the bow. Beaming at Steve as the treat's offered, patting his lapel in thanks as she eats.]

Good thing to keep in mind.

[He watches Pep.]

You really seem to be the only other person she gets that excited over. Feel like I should be jealous or something that I have to comepete.

[He grins, Not really meaning it. But amused as Pep gives him big eyes about the insinuation that she could love Steve more than Tony.]

[Amber watches Pep's reaction to being given a treat and decides to emulate it, but better, and pats Steve's chin cooing happily]

As if this little angel could love anyone more than you Tony. I'm merely the favorite uncle. Right, Miss Pep?

[Steve gives a sagely nod, more for fun than for serious. Grace rolls her eyes from where she's clinging to Steve's leg]

[Tony gives an amused scoff, as Pep swallows the rest of her treat quickly to nod vigorously to agree with what Steve says.]

Angel, huh? Well, maybe you have something there.

[Pep smiles widely at her Tony. Then he looks down at the leering one.]

Don't worry, she won't be replacing you, either. But I wouldn't be surprised if Steve finds her cuter.

[Because if the Rilou isn't going to like him, he's not going to go to any great lengths to get her to like him.]

[Grace scoffs at Tony, because really, Steve would not only never replace her, why do you need to be cute when you're beautiful, because that's what Steve calls her.]

Are you antagonizing Grace?

[gives Tony a look that clearly means "really? Childish much?" Amber watches this, confused by what's happening]

To be fair, she starts it.

[Pep sighs a little as she watches her Trainer]

She stops giving me condescending looks, I stop doing it back.

[looks down at Grace who nuzzles against his leg, giving him a look that says "what? Me?" With a sigh he looks back at Tony]

You two are ridiculous. Isn't that right? [talking to Pep and Amber now] Maybe we should lock them in a room together and see how that goes?

[Grace looks horrified at this idea]

[Unlike Grace, Tony looks wholly unconcerned as he drinks more.]

Wouldn't happen. You like her too much to subject her to that.

This is true. I adore her.

[smiles down at her before returning his attention to Tony]

Well, maybe you two can get along one day, but I won't hold my breath.

I'm sure she'll come around eventually.

[Because Tony is Tony, and people have to give in to his ways at least 70% of the time.]

[looks down at Grace who looks incredibly skeptical, and Steve tosses her a treat which she catches and eats slowly, forgetting about Tony]

Have you gone and danced with any of the lovely ladies and gents here?

[With Grace no longer interested in the vague rivalry they seem to have at this very second, Tony has no problem leaving it alone either.]

You know, I haven't. Mostly because no one's caught my eye yet. Anyone tried to teach you yet?

Yes, Miss Imogen taught me, I also got to dance with a very lovely woman with a beautiful name. A couple other people too, but it was during a partner pass off dance, so I didn't catch any names.

[smiles, thinking about how fun it was]

Well, I hope someone catches your eye tonight.

Sounds like a lot of fun, right there.

[Tony shrugs]

Well the last person I danced with was Pepper. So really, that's going to have to be hell of an eye catch.

[Steve feels really sad now, because he really wished Peggy could have been his first dance, but he lost that chance, and as much as he wants to not dance, he knows she'd be pissed as hell at him for it. He lost his chance with the right partner, so he decided its not worth waiting again this time, no one else would be Peggy]

I can understand that. Well, if you end up really wanting to and no one catches your eye, well if you don't mind a friend, I'd be happy to.

[smiles, but it's wistful]

[He grins, patting his back.]

Maybe if they play something fast. Thanks for the offer.

[grabs a snack and eats it, then hands one of to each of the Pokemon]

[Pep makes a noise of thanks and happily eats, as she starts to happily babble to Amber, leaning over Steve's arm to try and get Grace into the conversation too.]

But for now. Drinking, eating and generally being merry seems to be on the bill tonight.

[Grace gives Pep a look that is about to say "no thanks..." but when Amber chimes in, making motions at Grace, her look softens into forfeiting annoyance and she tugs on Steve's pants to ask to be up there, he casts her a look, the shrugs a shoulder]

You'll have to climb up.

[she decides to jump up on the table with all the grace Steve named her after, and then hefts herself up onto his shoulders, where she quietly contributes to the conversation]

Seems being the furniture for a girl party is mine.

[Tony chuckles]

Yeah, as fun as that sounds, not as... 'Fun' watching it. But you know, it makes you look... Awful cute.

[Yeah, this is kinda funny.]

[gives him a flat look, trying to suppress his amusement]

Cute isn't a word usually applied to me, but with how cute all these girls are, I guess they're cute overrides my not-cute.

[Amber wiggles around, chattering happily, her voice becoming high pitched at times while she rubs her head against Steve's chin]

Yeah, you might not think that. But I've seen some of our fan mail. There's a lot of women in New York that really think you are. Even with out a bunch of cute fluffy animals.

[Yeah, Tony is find this all amusing and cute, especially when Pep giggles at the Amber]

[thinks about the fan mail he got in the USO and while in the army, he remembers a few mentions of him being cute, wonders if the military kept any of it over the years]

We got fanmail? Already?

[Amber tells Pep all about how her dad went dancing and she met an Espeon and Grace threw her on him and he was so nice and chatted with her and she imagined she was dancing with him like dad was with the girl]

Oh yeah, we did. When everyone know's Iron Man is Tony Stark, mail for everyone shows up to Stark tower pretty fast... Along with people just standing out there, that part isn't so much fun when you're trying to rebuild that same tower.

[Pep listens intently, oh-ing and ah-ing at all the right places. as well as chiding Grace for throwing Amber, because that's mean. And says that it must have been so pretty to watch. And that Tony spend at least twenty minutes fussing with her bow so she looked pretty then just sad around after getting dressed to feel comfy.]
