☆ YOU ARE HERE ☆

LOCATIONS OF NOTE:
• REDUCED G MOON BALLROOM
Accessible only via the balcony that connects back through to the regular ballroom, this unusual section of the moon base is the only major room in which the gravity more closely reflects that of the actual moon, as opposed to being artificially enhanced to better simulate the conditions Earthside. The dance floor is situated approximately fifteen feet below the balcony, recessed into the moon's surface where the rest of the base sits at ground level, and overhead a massive domed ceiling lets in a magnificent view of outer space, the moon's surface, and all the surrounding stars. The acoustics are just as good as those of the standard ballroom, and this dance floor will feature the same music as the other; the only appreciable difference is that in the Reduced G Moon Ballroom, gravity is mostly optional and you're liable to find as many couples spinning through the open air as you are with solid ground beneath their feet. Try not to get trapped in the middle with no momentum, or you might just need a rescue from some considerate stranger!
• REGULAR BALLROOM
A more traditional ballroom for the more traditional partygoer on the moon base: hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, crystal chandeliers, and tasteful music. Of particular note are the balcony doors at the north end of the ballroom, which lead onto the observation balcony that overlooks the Reduced Gravity Moon Ballroom! Please don't block those doors; they're the only way in or out!
• DINING ROOM AND BUFFET
GOOD FOOD, GOOD MEAT, GOOD GRIEF, LET'S EAT! The dining room is an area accessible from both the ballroom and the hallway that leads between the reception area and the dorms, featuring scores upon scores of tables of varying sizes that might seat as little as two or as many as eight. On days when the party isn't in full swing, buffet-style meals will be served over a period of two hours at three times during the day — breakfast, lunch, and dinner. When the party is jumping, however, the table will remain perpetually stocked with entrees, sides, and of course a full complement of magnificent desserts for people to feast and snack upon as they so choose!
• DORMS AND SLEEPING AREAS
Your moon base home-away-from-home for the next three days! In the massive dorm wing of the base, you'll find vast corridors of hostel-style bunks available to be claimed. Unclaimed bunks will signal their availability by having their curtains open and empty bunk displayed; though the privacy curtains and beds themselves boast no particular security features, each bunk does come with a reasonably-sized trunk for storing a guest's belongings. Upon claiming the bunk, a guest will be prompted to register their trunk with a thumbprint, which thereafter will be used to lock and unlock their trunk. If you're worried about something happening to your belongings or valuables, feel free to lock them up for safekeeping!
• INDOOR GREENHOUSE AND FLOWER GARDEN
A secluded place where partygoers can retreat from the festivities for a little while, whether it be to catch their breath, for a tête-à-tête, or anything else that might involve the desire for a little more peace and quiet. Featuring small walking paths, real fresh flowers, and even a small inches-deep artificial burbling brook, the moon base garden looks to be a little slice of the planet Earth preserved here in outer space. Seems like all that's missing are the wild Pokemon!
• LIBRARY, MUSIC ROOM, SPA, AND ARCADE
An assortment of four general leisure rooms in the western wing of the Moon Base, most of which are fairly self-explanatory! So, if you feel so inclined, take some time to stop in, poke around, and enjoy yourself in:
▶ THE LIBRARY, which features muted lighting, plenty of hardwood paneling, and a quiet atmosphere for reading a book in one of the cozy armchairs or piling up a dozen to peruse at one of the available tables. You're welcome to find the usual Pokemon-ified standard fare of books here; unfortunately, research-inclined people digging for secrets about the moon base, Pokemon, or other such nonfiction topics aren't likely to unearth anything of any particular note this time. Alas!
▶ THE MUSIC ROOM, which boasts a wide array of instruments available for the guests to make use of, including a grand piano, a few guitars (both acoustic and electric), and a general assortment of other choices from the brass, string, wind, and percussion families.
▶ THE SPA FACILITIES, where guests are welcome to unwind and relax in the various pools, hot tubs, and mineral baths available. Swimsuits and towels are provided in the built-in changing rooms for anyone interested in making use of the spa!
▶ THE ARCADE, containing plenty of video games, games of skill, and other such electronic amusements for patrons to pass the time away with. Skee-Ball and Dance Dance Eeveelution are, of course, particular standouts from the array, but there are plenty of other traditional games to be found in here. You can also find playing cards, board games, and other low-tech amusements in here, as well!
• CRYSTAL GARDEN AND TERRACE
A beautiful garden-like area filled with growing crystals located just outside the moon base, visible from the windows in the moon ballroom and accessible via a warm-lit terrace that leads out onto what appears to be the planet's surface itself. It appears that some unseen apparatus is maintaining an area of atmosphere over the expanse of the garden, rendering it safe for guests to wander and explore even without the benefit of space suits or oxygen tanks. However, being a part of the actual surface of the moon, it is possible that perusing among the crystals will net you an encounter with a wild Pokemon, so be careful where you tread among the crystals!
This is the only area where wild Pokemon can be battled and captured, and being that it is on the planet's surface, note also that this area is subject to reduced gravity, similar to the moon ballroom! The wild Pokemon you can find out here are as follows:
Cleffa, Clefairy, Clefable, Staryu, Starmie, Lunatone, Solrock, Elgyem,
Beheeyem, Jigglypuff, Togepi, Carbink, Boldore, Gigalith, Aron, Crustle
All Pokemon will be Level 20-30!
• HOLODECK
At first glance, the holodeck appears to be simply a vast open room criss-crossed with yellow grid lines, looming in the northwest corner of the moon base. However, once inside, a visitor may find that the holodeck is much more than it appears: a virtual reality facility capable of recreating familiar places by a combination of transported matter, replicated matter, tractor beams, and shaped force fields.
Though the holodeck comes with a variety of standard preprogrammed environments to play with and experience — an average beach, a deep forest, an unremarkable porch in someone's generic backyard — its greatest facet is its ability to recreate environments and places from its users' memories. Been missing home for a long time? The holodeck can take you (and your guests) back there — for as long as you've got it activated, at least. Please remember to use it sparingly and in small doses, lest you become addicted to the fantasy and not the reality!
(Mod Note: To clarify, the holodeck is here to indulge a character's (and by extension a player's) imagination. You are by no means limited to just the uses detailed above; if you'd like your character to fantasize about being in a 1920s gangster setting and play around with it as a prompt that takes place on the holodeck, you can feel free to do so! Note that the holodeck comes with safety features that will prevent a character from suffering serious injury (either from themselves, from the environment, or from other people using the holodeck simultaneously), but it is possible to get some bumps, bruises, and scrapes from the experience! Feel free to ask us if you're not sure what you can do with it, but generally speaking it's there to be played with, so don't hesitate to play with it!)

I won't be going easy on you, you know.
no subject
I ain't worried.
no subject
...alright then. I'll allow you to choose a suitable area before we begin.
no subject
[Cackling, he starts to bounce over to a clearer little area. Funnily enough, with some of the crystals making a ring, it almost seems like an arena of some sort.]
How about this then?
no subject
He walks over to where Joker is, stopping a few feet away just as his Lunatone comes floating back over to his side.]
This is fine. What kind of battle will this be, then?
no subject
Well, have any other double matches or the like since we’ve met?
no subject
Not particularly ground breaking ones. So you are interested in going back to the beginning.
no subject
no subject
[Might as well give it a shot, right? He's got nothing to be afraid of.]
I have all of the Pokemon I would use already with me. I assume you do as well, since you challenged me.
no subject
[He calls the agreeable Zoroark back into his Pokeball before exchanging that for two others. With some impressive fingerwork despite or because of only one hand, he calls out his starting pair- Angel the Mime Jr and Guls the Goodra.]
Ta da~.
no subject
Why he'd never evolve it, he can't say, but it's not like he has room to talk when he still has an unevolved Abra deviling him constantly.]
Kodo.
[Nagi calls out to the Lunatone as he pulls an additional Pokeball off his belt, signalling for her to hover out in front of him. Then, he tosses out the second one, revealing Yume, his Blaziken.]
I'm ready when you are. Joker.
no subject
[A low chuckle as he sees his opponents. So that’s how it’s going to be, huh?]
Aw, ain’t that polite now, givin’ me the first go at things. Thank ya kindly~. Guls, show our appreciation with a little dance now~.
[If Nagi has any idea of a Goodra moveset, this of course refers to as a charming little Rain Dance, clouds churning out of nowhere and sprinkling down just the perfect amount.]
[In contrast, it doesn’t seem like Angel needs any seemingly obvious signal from Joker. With a bright grin to contrast the now gloomy weather, she makes a gesture and there’s a shimmer of light as Light Screen is put into place.]
no subject
Well, he won’t waste any time doing the same.]
Kodo, Rock Polish. Yume, Bulk Up.
[While a series of flashes across the Lunatone’s body signal her speed being raised, Yume’s own figure giving off a sort of red aura shows that his attack (as well as defense) is being boosted. He won’t be able to rely as much on his fire attacks with Rain Dance in play, after all.]
no subject
[Or else it’s just a battle of buffing and no one ever attacks.]
Guls, Aqua Tail!
[Right before she leaps forward, however, Angel jumps over to attach herself to a very sticky leg. Even as Guls twists to attack, the little Mime Jr. attached by sheer goo gives excited clapping to Yume and Kodo. Encore! Encore!]
no subject
Nagi grimaces in spite of his attempt to keep the look off of his face, only able to just watch as Guls fires the attack at his pair.
Just before it hits, Nagi catches the Lunatone's eye as she happens to be nearer to him at the moment, and with her speed boosted double she's able to get in the way of the attack before it can hit Yume directly. Both types are weak to water, but Yume's strength and defense being boosted triple or more may backfire on Joker if they can wrench themselves from the grips of Encore before its too late.
Never mind the fact that Kodo is also now at triple speed, her body shimmering as she uses rock polish a second time beyond her control.]
no subject
[And for now that means attack attack attack. Guls may not be the fastest, but she doesn’t need to be right now if Kodo is acting as a shield for Yume. She just gives out another Aqua Tail, seeming pleased as punch. And what’s Angel doing?]
[...Did she just use Rock Shine on herself?]
[Mimic is a beautiful thing.]
no subject
...and yeah, don’t think Nagi didn’t see that.]
A one-sided battle isn’t the most interesting, you know.
no subject
[To make things even more infuriating, he tosses a wink over to Nagi.
If you tried to throw a rock at his head, Nagi, no one would blame you.]But y’heard him, Guls! So lets speed things up with a Dragon Breath, yeah?
[Is he being a bit of an ass? You bet ya. But hey. It can give Nagi a challenge. Or something. It’s not that Joker is a jackass or anything who uses whatever cheating moves he can. At least Angel isn’t attacking- as Gul’s attack speeds towards the pair, she throws up a Barrier for the two of them.]
[If this doesn’t hit, after all, well, they are going to have a pissed off rock.]
no subject
With Kodo the resident punching bag, Yume has a chance to get himself out of the way, whereas Kodo doesn't even have to try to dodge with the speed she's rolling right now. Quadruple quickness makes for a very fast rock, and Nagi's shouting orders without hesitating.]
Hypnosis, on the Goodra!
[Within an instant, the Lunatone wheels around to fix Guls with a piercing stare with the intent of making her fall right to sleep.
Nagi sure isn't above playing dirty himself.]
no subject
[Yet Joker’s only response as Guls sways is to give an impressed whistle. Well, they’ve made their bed, it’s time to sleep in it. He thinks he has some idea of what to do, however, and Angel is already acting on it. Her eyes glow as she tries to send a Confuse straight over to Yume. With Guls asleep on her feet, this could be a chance to get someone else on the tiny little mime’s side.]
no subject
Moonblast!
[The Lunatone turns once again, this time directing her attack right at the Mime Jr. per Nagi's gesturing.]
no subject
[Considering Angel is stuck to the leg of a very slimy dragon, there’s a brief moment where the above sentiment is perfectly reflected on her and Joker’s faces in the form of stuck grins and wide eyes. Angel has just enough time to raise her hand-]
[A flicker of light and Moonblast slams into something, a blur of brown that goes tumbling backwards into Joker’s feet. But the little Mime Jr’s Baton Pass was successful. Rogue the Furret hops up onto his feet, shaking out his fur and recovering from the powerful hit as best he can. Lightly touching the Pokeball still shaking along his belt from Angel's retreat, Joker laughs a bit too hard. His horrible sense of humor or adrenaline? Probably both.]
Phew! That move’s just as handy as it was when we used it against Falkner, ha ha! But looks like we both have one outta commission for a tic- care ta switch yers out?
[At least Guls seems to be having a nice sleep despite being grazed by a Moonblast…]
no subject
He looks over at his Pokemon before reaching for Yume’s ball and returning him. He might as well not have even been on the field for as much attacking as he was able to do. He swaps Pokeballs with one hand, seemingly ready for the swap in advance.
The ground shakes beneath their feet as his choice practically explodes out of his ball, a massive Metagross that stands nearly head and shoulders over both Kodo and Nagi himself.]
Armos, Bullet Punch! Kodo, Rock Throw!
[Both Psychic types move quickly into action, with Kodo being considerably quicker in sending a barrage of boulders flying towards Joker’s team with the Metagross hot on her heels, one claw raised and aimed to slam down on the sleeping Goodra.]
no subject
[Even as quick as Rogue is, he can only dodge a bit of the barrage of rocks before he gets smashed with one and goes flying with a yelp. Guls, needless to say, can’t dodge anything on account of being flat out asleep. Even boulders slamming into her gooey body doesn’t seem to bother the Goodra, although she does seem to wobble in place.]
Quiguls!
[That sounds nearly like pure nonsense coming out of Joker’s mouth, but he’s lucky that too-quick-incomprehensible nonsense is the kind of language Rogue can listen to. He’s a blur of fur racing towards Guls as Armos looms over her. The bad news is that Rogue is only 32 kilograms of fur in comparison to Guls’ impressive 150. The good news is that she’s already wobbling on her feet, and Rogue is enough to knock her out of the way with all the speed he puts into his tiny little body. The pair of them go crashing down against the ground, out of the way of Armos’ hit.]
[In the meantime, Joker is already moving his hand. A flick of his wrist calls Guls back to her Pokeball, and then he’s tossing it up into the air as he reaches for the next on his belt. In a heartbeat, Invidia has replaced her on the field. Joker is already calling out an attack even as he tosses up Invidia’s ball to catch Guls’ again in a bit of juggling.]
Punishment.
[As Rogue gets up to his paws and shakes out his fur, Invidia’s claws give a dark glow. With a swipe, that energy shoot straight to the opposing pair of Pokemon.]
no subject
Nagi's head snaps over when Invidia suddenly takes the stage, attacking before he can wrack his brain properly to give himself a reminder of what Punishment does.
Then, he remembers his own Zoroark...and he freezes.]
Armos, block it!
[Kodo gives a shrill trill as she zips around the bigger Pokemon to use him as a shield, but the energy manages to clip her before she can fully get out of the way, sending her spinning into the dirt. Armos takes the rest of the attack directly, soaking up the damage with high defense while the Lunatone is left dangerously in the red.
It's almost like a reflex, the word "Explosion" just on the tip of Nagi's tongue. But...something stops him before he can tell her to use it. Maybe he's remembering a time he used it before and it ended badly for everyone involved.
So, he goes a different route.]
Moonblast, one more time!
[Shakily, the rock hovers back into the air, staying halfway behind the protection that is Armos' body in general before sending the blinding glow of white and pink right at Invidia and Rogue.]
