☆ YOU ARE (STILL) HERE ☆




KEY:

• BLUE areas are where the bulk of the party's events will be located! As you can see, the festivities will be taking place largely outdoors, and the grounds will reflect that; there'll be the usual decorations of pretty floral arrangements, little lights, things like that. Think garden party!
• GREEN areas are where guests will be staying overnight! Unfortunately, you'll be sleeping-bagging it up, since this is a house party and not a hotel party, but this is where you'll be given space to leave your possessions, claim some sleeping room, and generally crash for the night once the festivities do you in. (Note: you're welcome to try to sleep elsewhere, but Clair might catch you and disapprove. You don't want that, do you?)
• RED areas are unfortunately off-limits to guests! If asked about them, anyone will tell you that those are the rooms and areas that the Elite Four have claimed for themselves, and they're sealed off tight. Please don't try to break into them anyway; you'll only be caught and punished.

• AREA A is the designated Indoor Ballroom area, for the people who would prefer to class it up a little more than just your standard garden party. There's a big skylight, hardwood floors, tasteful artwork, and classy music — a little more upscale than the shenanigans going on outside, for the people who'd rather that kind of thing.
• AREA B will be the area of interest for anyone hoping to sneak a little Pokemon research on the side: this is the Library/Gallery area of the house. While most of it is your standard "tall shelves of ancient identical books" fare, there are a few points of interest — a sculpture of Lugia, a painting of the Ecruteak City skyline before the Brass Tower burned down, some stone etchings of what might be Fossil Pokemon, and so on. Guests are welcome to look around a little, but burying themselves in research the whole time will be highly frowned upon, and you'll be politely encouraged to leave the library alone and go rejoin the festivities if you hole up in there for too long.
• AREA C is...well, the Parking Lot. More importantly, it's where you take your Pokemon battles if you simply gotta get your battle on; keep it out and away from the house, please, and try not to make too much of a mess. Skirmishes, sorties, and sparring will be tolerated here and here alone. Do it anywhere else and you'll be facing some very displeased hosts.
• AREA D is the Elite Four's Trophy Room. Please be quiet and respectful if you come up here to have a look around; it's a solemn kind of place. Here you'll find various collections of badges, ribbons, awards, and trophies put on display, with one wall devoted to each member of the Elite Four. Of particular note is a glass case with a broken Ultra Ball mounted inside; the brass plaque attached claims it's the ball Lorelei was using when she almost caught Articuno. On a lighter note, there are also pictures of the Elite Four themselves — your standard Official Portraits™, sure, but also some framed candids of them in various configurations hanging out with their Pokemon and engaged in various activities around the house (Agatha making waffles, Lance and Bruno clowning around in the pool, stuff like that).

[ In what may be a familiar sight for very some people, there's currently a jumpluff drifting in the wind, one'd notice, just out of reach of his trainer's -- a girl dressed in a cute blue dress who's chasing after him.

But surely that must be coincidental, since there's very little wind today. ]

[ what is she doing so far away from the party and so close to the waterfall? training, of course! she can't just play all day, not when there's a waterfall that's exactly what she's looking for. she's kicked off her shoes and waded into the water a little (the longer edge of her dress is definitely wet) and urging Xiao'yu the Feebas out into deeper water. ]

I believe in you! [ sigh, Xiao'yu has at least gotten used to her trainer and therefore will dutifully swim closer to the falls and practice...jumping up a waterfall?? this is how a carp becomes a dragon! even if a feebas is nothing like a carp! ]

[Just a little further away from the waterfall is a young girl fishing, with her feet dangling in the water. Yes, the party was nice, but it was a little overwhelming too. So she decided to take a break. There were supposed to be some rare pokemon around here too, so she planned on taking a look.

The other girl's training caught her attention though, and she watched curiously.]

Huh? [ thankfully this isn't the first time someone has spotted Xiaoqiao so it doesn't startle her enough to try to throw something. ]

Oh, hello there! Me and Xiao'yu are training!

[Ushio just sort of tilts her head a bit at this.]

Do you really think he can climb that waterfall?

Um... [ she stares at Xiao'yu hopping and splashing through the water. ]

Maybe not yet but I'm sure someday she'll be able to! [ she has faith. ]

I see. I think there's a move for doing that.

You need a badge for it, but I'm not sure which one.

I was there! [ and it was...interesting, completely different from the banquets and celebrations she'd attended back home. it's not that she didn't have fun at all either but what made parties fun back home was being surrounded by friends. it's not like that here. ]

I guess I ran out of things to do there. Besides this is the biggest waterfall around, of course I had to see it for myself!

[ that just draws a giggle from Xiaoqiao. if not for the warning she would have clapped at the posing. ]

That's...strange, I never would have thought of something like that. [ but she thought of jumping up a waterfall because that's how carp become dragons... maybe this world is just a different brand of weird. ]

It must be a really powerful item.

[Hmph, Mami's a bad influence from where Trista's swimming- Telling nice trainers to not compliment her. Where did that Feebas cousin of hers go? She wants a race to cheer up!

Mami herself, meanwhile, gives a sage nod at Xiaoqiao's assessment.]

Yes... I'm not sure of the logic, except perhaps something in the trading process triggers the transformation. The item - a Prism Scale, that is - being on hand backs that up, I think... It was gone after the evolution, so I thought, perhaps it combined with Trista, to make her new form.

[ drifting down the stream, taking a small break... jumping up a waterfall is really tiring and if her trainer's not watching she's going to slack a little. ]

...becomes a part...of her? Wow, it must be big! [ how else would it go from tiny fish to dragonish creature? ]

-actually, no. But I don't think it's odd for Pokemon to grow quickly as they evolve. My Jolteon is a good bit bigger than she was at her Eevee stage.

[Not THAT much bigger, but enough to hint the idea.]

We're training! I'm sure the strength she gains from this will help build her confidence too! [ except...confidence isn't really the problem. but by now Xiao'yu is used to Xiaoqiao...so she just goes along with it. ]

[So this was where Henge had escaped off to. He hadn't seen the Zoroark most of the evening, and to find him in conversation with some pokemon he definitely hadn't trained? Very cute, very amusing.]

Mine too. I haven't wanted to catch anything, but... [He took out a pokeball when his charmander firmly said the word 'ball' and flicked it at the sunkern, who stood there and let him.]

....Tenten will be so disappointed with me if she hears there was no actual battle so let's not share that.

I've been treating them like summons though. People don't go catch summons. That's rude.

Summons? [That's a way to think of them. Is it because of their intelligence? His insects may not be summoned, but they possess a kind of intelligence. It's arguable whether they are able to feel, though. The difference, perhaps? Kiba treats Akamaru as another person. Either way, he agrees that all should be treated with respect.]

Yeah, I mean, pokemon can talk, some just mentally, but they can communicate and discuss so they're not just stupid animals.

[Meeting other trainers is one thing, but the party goers aren't the only new faces to see at this party.

She didn't plan to wander far, or spend too much precious time looking, but Mami would regret it if she didn't take a few minutes to explore that forest. And so here she is- Wandering the treeline with a Litwick and Jolteon ahead of her, on high alert.

But, it just so happens that candle and electric dog have a history of jumping any potential danger/interest in sight, so if anyone else is wandering the forest, and jumps out too quickly...]

[The night is long and that meant many breaks were in question. Ren was enjoying the fresh night air again, watching the people going in and out of the building...

It was then when he spotted a Butterfree mask. It wasn't a normal colored one, so could it possibly be...?]
