☆ YOU ARE (STILL) HERE ☆




KEY:

• BLUE areas are where the bulk of the party's events will be located! As you can see, the festivities will be taking place largely outdoors, and the grounds will reflect that; there'll be the usual decorations of pretty floral arrangements, little lights, things like that. Think garden party!
• GREEN areas are where guests will be staying overnight! Unfortunately, you'll be sleeping-bagging it up, since this is a house party and not a hotel party, but this is where you'll be given space to leave your possessions, claim some sleeping room, and generally crash for the night once the festivities do you in. (Note: you're welcome to try to sleep elsewhere, but Clair might catch you and disapprove. You don't want that, do you?)
• RED areas are unfortunately off-limits to guests! If asked about them, anyone will tell you that those are the rooms and areas that the Elite Four have claimed for themselves, and they're sealed off tight. Please don't try to break into them anyway; you'll only be caught and punished.

• AREA A is the designated Indoor Ballroom area, for the people who would prefer to class it up a little more than just your standard garden party. There's a big skylight, hardwood floors, tasteful artwork, and classy music — a little more upscale than the shenanigans going on outside, for the people who'd rather that kind of thing.
• AREA B will be the area of interest for anyone hoping to sneak a little Pokemon research on the side: this is the Library/Gallery area of the house. While most of it is your standard "tall shelves of ancient identical books" fare, there are a few points of interest — a sculpture of Lugia, a painting of the Ecruteak City skyline before the Brass Tower burned down, some stone etchings of what might be Fossil Pokemon, and so on. Guests are welcome to look around a little, but burying themselves in research the whole time will be highly frowned upon, and you'll be politely encouraged to leave the library alone and go rejoin the festivities if you hole up in there for too long.
• AREA C is...well, the Parking Lot. More importantly, it's where you take your Pokemon battles if you simply gotta get your battle on; keep it out and away from the house, please, and try not to make too much of a mess. Skirmishes, sorties, and sparring will be tolerated here and here alone. Do it anywhere else and you'll be facing some very displeased hosts.
• AREA D is the Elite Four's Trophy Room. Please be quiet and respectful if you come up here to have a look around; it's a solemn kind of place. Here you'll find various collections of badges, ribbons, awards, and trophies put on display, with one wall devoted to each member of the Elite Four. Of particular note is a glass case with a broken Ultra Ball mounted inside; the brass plaque attached claims it's the ball Lorelei was using when she almost caught Articuno. On a lighter note, there are also pictures of the Elite Four themselves — your standard Official Portraits™, sure, but also some framed candids of them in various configurations hanging out with their Pokemon and engaged in various activities around the house (Agatha making waffles, Lance and Bruno clowning around in the pool, stuff like that).

[Ugh, how she hated parties when it came down to it. They were always so loud and predictable. But formality had forced her to this one and even more so her Houndour did need the socialization in order to hopefully work out the whole biting thing.

Yeah. Biting.

Tsunade's trying to keep to the back of the ballroom proper, wearing a white and black kimono-like dress along with a black and red wolf mask over her face. Her hair's out of the usual twin pigtails, instead put up into a bun with red, white, and black flowered pins on the side.

For the time being she's pretty quiet, merely watching the crowd with her houndour puppy Mizuki and haunter Kasumi hanging at her sides while the rest of her team plays off somewhere else.]

[ dancing sure is fun, it's not the kind of dancing she's used to but Xiaoqiao thinks she has it figured out and there's no way she's going to stand on the side for long! especially not when she's dressed for a party! she got over how weird the dress felt minutes ago and now she's twirling across the dance floor with...her Garchomp. Zahna's a bit taller than her husband but it still works!

Zahna for her part just seems to be humouring her new trainer. she is also dressed up for the party with an explosive flower/feather ornament attached to one of her horns.

getting kind of dizzy though... she grunts at some of the humans they twirl pass. someone take over! ]

(Rainbow's smile was pretty forced, as looking in her eyes would tell you what she thought about being out on the dance floor.

BOOOOOOOOORING! The only reason she'd agreed to come was her friends were all going, she might run into her other friends, and...that was mostly it. The Wonderbolts weren't even here, so why should she knock herself out and try to look pretty?

She was still in a dress that was similar but not quite like her Gala dress however, and her mask was based off of Lightning, who had made her way to the food table. But she was still bored.)

[So, Harry is looking awfully dapper this evening.

Looking equally (if not more so, he'd argue) nice is his date: Clara the Cleffa, donning a matching flower on her tiny head. She's currently perched on his shoulder, murmuring to herself whenever someone with a particularly shiny outfit/accessory on passes by.

Harry's chaperoned proms at TPHS before, but never out of uniform. This is... different, for one. Slightly weird, for another, but it's also kind of nice to see everyone in the same place.

And so far, so good. No disasters — heck, there haven't even been any minor disturbances, as far as he can tell.

He's hanging off to the edge of the dance floor for now, eyes scanning the crowd as he taps his foot along to the music.]

[Probably something rather boring and not at all French! Of course, if you called France a beast, he'd probably be less than kind to you, which would kind of prove the point.]

[Bad jokes about fairy tales associated with this nation aside, France has spent the majority of the night in the indoor ballroom, dancing the night away. If you can catch him, he'll gladly offer you what he claims to be the dance of your life! After all, this is France.]

[Jade doesn't remember very much about this sort of dancing; Soul taught her a bit, but that was a long time ago. Regardless, it's obvious she's having fun and she's trying and she'd be more than happy to dance with anyone who asks!]

[It takes an event like this for Dave to realize how far apart from other people he really is. He went to school, did that crap up until one day when meteors ended the world. Everything after that was some grand destiny crap and a lot of people dying.

Ballroom dancing was never taught to him. He knows how to dance just...not like that. He hangs out with his clockwork styled mask near the wall and watches the dancing. If he hangs out around there he'll never have to admit this is beyond him.

[After a first dance (and an official first kiss, the first two didn't count because of reasons) with Jake, Dirk's basically walking on air. He'd been worried about the huge crowds of strangers that would be here, after the freakout he had at the benefit concert, but it doesn't matter much right now. He's got his friends here, and the attention isn't all on him.

He can manage, and he's not being a wallflower about it, either. Ask him for a dance? He definitely isn't about to say no.]

[This is not only Jake's first time in a tuxedo and a mask (just for the hell of it), but also for wearing contacts. Yes, you read that right. Jake is out of the glasses for this night! If only because it's easier to wear a mask without them.

Still, the first thing he does is go and find Dirk in the crowd. It's tradition or something to have the first dance with one's boyfriend, right? Right.

Afterwards, Jake is going to be a bit of a wallflower. He's pretty damn shy in huge crowds, and this is a pretty big crowd. Yeaaaaah....]

[Early prom finds Miyako hovering around the snacks. She's on her fourth cookie, eating them as slowly as possible in order to feel less anxious. Snacking has always made her feel better in the past - what's so different about it at prom? Well, there's the fact that she's in a fancy dress, far fancier than one she's ever worn before, with her fun new flats that she's very much in love with, and the fact that she's actually wearing lipstick and her first successful attempt at eyeshadow (eyeliner would have to wait for another day), and that she's roamed away from Hikari and Takeru and is completely and utterly alone...

Well, she has this cookie. Or rather, had, as she finally shoves it all in her mouth, chews roughly, and swallows without vengeance. And she honestly wants to dance, but she's not sure how to ask anyone to dance with her. How... how do you ask people to dance with you? Question of the century, Miyako.]

[Dressed in a suit and a mask, Sasuke is being one of the many wall flowers as he looks on the other participants. It doesn't seem like he's too keen on refreshments, dancing, or socializing of any kind as his eyes sort of remain on the floor. Or is that to use his hat to try and hide his face and therefore his identity?

Either way, the only thing he seems to be looking for is a way out or a quiet place to hang out for the party. It's doubtful that Sasuke is going to find what he's looking for, though.]

[Getting to settle in Carmen's arms was close enough to Space Camp for the little Eevee. She is, after all, out of this world.]

It's weird though, right? [Hiccup looks around to all the other attendees, smile almost sheepish, now.] I mean, when you're in a city, you see a lot of people--and Thanksgiving and Christmas were huge gatherings--but I guess it never really hit me just how many people were actually in this world. Maybe there are even more who didn't want to come here, for some reason, too.

It was definitely strange--the closest thing, in Hiccup's mind, was when they had first found the dragons' nest, back home. Even with all those dragons clamoring on every cliff and cranny, it didn't seem quite the same as all these people busying about dancing and chatting.

He's pleased to hear Astrid doesn't disapprove of the building, at least. If she'd taken the time to enjoy it, then...well, she could just be having a super-lousy, boring time. But he preferred to think that she was just keeping her mind open to the area and scoping it out. Her question catches Hiccup a little off guard, and he shifts awkwardly. "Ah, some. Carmen asked me to."

And now to pray that Astrid will just leave it at that because he doesn't really want to relive the experience of introducing himself to Clair. What a mess. "...What about you? Did you dance with anybody?"

[Tenten's already in her own ensemble, temporarily ditching the no-funs in search of finding people she knows. The dancing looks so fun, she has to give it a try! Her Chinese-style dress matches her dragon mask, and the small heel to her black sandals puts her a little closer in height to some of the other people. Perhaps most telling to her identity is the single half-bun in her hair, fastened with two chopsticks, the rest drifting somewhere around her shoulders. For the moment, she's moving around, trying to find people she knows or people who just look like they need to have more fun. After all, this was the closest to a birthday party she was going to get!]

[Obito is starting here and happens to be dressed rather flashily. But tastefully. Take that people who doubt him! But he is taking a breather, moving to get a snack before diving back in to rounds of people. He made sure to give his Charmander something too though, since she insisted on clinging to his back thus far. Maybe she'd eventually go off and have some fun too.]

[Somehow Madoka managed to get a wedding dress pink dress for this prom, and she also managed to play with her hair (her hair accessories are pink though!). This girl is definitely not walking in high heels, that would be dangerous, right?

Now she is in the ballroom, but maybe this is a bad idea! Everyone seem to be so good at dancing, she probably is not good at it, so she's being all shy and nervous. Which way to the door, again? Maybe she should go back to the other areas. She kind of lost sight of the other magical girls too, so she's alone right now.

But her pokemon seem to enjoy dancing and everything else, especially the Purrloin who is showing off by walking on two paws. Skitty is more interested in chasing her own tail. Eevee is keeping her eye on Madoka. You might run into a trio of Togepi, Pichu and baby Eevee, who are running all around the place. No guys, that's not how you stay close to your trainer. At least they're having fun? Hopefully they won't go too far.

Madoka won't say no for a dance or random talking, so feel free to approach.]

[Ren was enjoying the party while dressing up rather casually. It had been a while since he's had a chance to have this much fun, so he was planning on using this chance wholeheartedly.

Of course, that meant dancing with the ladies as well. One could easily think that his plan was to dance with all the girls in the room -- but it just was the one's he's talked with (mostly).

[After picking up her mask Katara set out to have a look around the grounds. It's a new area that she'd never heard of before and might not get to see again, so why not take it all in? For now she's foregoing her mask, but she does have one. It's a Lapras themed mask that matches her dress rather nicely, but for the time being she has it pushed back atop her head.she wants to make sure that if there are any familiar faces here they'll recognize her.

Eventually, she makes it to the dance floor where she... stands aside awkwardly to watch because WHAT IS this style of dancing? Beside her is a Meowth, who is taking the chance to observe the happenings.

[Shiraishi's not really used to parties, but he's dressed up quite nicely. He's mostly wandering around the ballroom and looking around.

[Shino's joined the ranks of all the other wallflowers, sulking with his back to the wall and hands in pockets as usual. A Yanma has been buzzing around his head, occasionally flitting off to bother people more fun than Shino.

What may come as a surprise to some, his high collared shirts and hooded jackets have been left behind for tonight. The goggles don't come off, though. Goodness no. He's wearing them under a mask - covering all the wrong parts of his face from the usual. If anything, it might make him even more unrecognisable.]

[ Aradia of course attended the party (because it's a party) and did so in the company of Kanaya! Who also was responsible for her dress, which is to the knee and in red. Kanaya was probably not responsible for the sneakers, which do not go with the dress as such. While she does have a pretty simple butterfree mask, she ditches it pretty soon on in the evening. Whoops?

She'll be/have been collecting all the dances she got people to promise her throughout the evening, and will probably never really be sitting anything out. She's accompanied only by Indy the Gengar, who is her constant creepy shadow. ]

[ Honey shows up with a Buneary mask and a tuxedo! And anyone who asks him to dance (or who says yes to a request, since he may ask around) will find he's highly competent at dancing, despite appearances.
