☆ YOU ARE (STILL) HERE ☆




KEY:

• BLUE areas are where the bulk of the party's events will be located! As you can see, the festivities will be taking place largely outdoors, and the grounds will reflect that; there'll be the usual decorations of pretty floral arrangements, little lights, things like that. Think garden party!
• GREEN areas are where guests will be staying overnight! Unfortunately, you'll be sleeping-bagging it up, since this is a house party and not a hotel party, but this is where you'll be given space to leave your possessions, claim some sleeping room, and generally crash for the night once the festivities do you in. (Note: you're welcome to try to sleep elsewhere, but Clair might catch you and disapprove. You don't want that, do you?)
• RED areas are unfortunately off-limits to guests! If asked about them, anyone will tell you that those are the rooms and areas that the Elite Four have claimed for themselves, and they're sealed off tight. Please don't try to break into them anyway; you'll only be caught and punished.

• AREA A is the designated Indoor Ballroom area, for the people who would prefer to class it up a little more than just your standard garden party. There's a big skylight, hardwood floors, tasteful artwork, and classy music — a little more upscale than the shenanigans going on outside, for the people who'd rather that kind of thing.
• AREA B will be the area of interest for anyone hoping to sneak a little Pokemon research on the side: this is the Library/Gallery area of the house. While most of it is your standard "tall shelves of ancient identical books" fare, there are a few points of interest — a sculpture of Lugia, a painting of the Ecruteak City skyline before the Brass Tower burned down, some stone etchings of what might be Fossil Pokemon, and so on. Guests are welcome to look around a little, but burying themselves in research the whole time will be highly frowned upon, and you'll be politely encouraged to leave the library alone and go rejoin the festivities if you hole up in there for too long.
• AREA C is...well, the Parking Lot. More importantly, it's where you take your Pokemon battles if you simply gotta get your battle on; keep it out and away from the house, please, and try not to make too much of a mess. Skirmishes, sorties, and sparring will be tolerated here and here alone. Do it anywhere else and you'll be facing some very displeased hosts.
• AREA D is the Elite Four's Trophy Room. Please be quiet and respectful if you come up here to have a look around; it's a solemn kind of place. Here you'll find various collections of badges, ribbons, awards, and trophies put on display, with one wall devoted to each member of the Elite Four. Of particular note is a glass case with a broken Ultra Ball mounted inside; the brass plaque attached claims it's the ball Lorelei was using when she almost caught Articuno. On a lighter note, there are also pictures of the Elite Four themselves — your standard Official Portraits™, sure, but also some framed candids of them in various configurations hanging out with their Pokemon and engaged in various activities around the house (Agatha making waffles, Lance and Bruno clowning around in the pool, stuff like that).

He seems almost conflicted with what to do about Obito, but allows him to lean on him.]

[He was a little surprised, but more than happy to stay planted there if the guy didn't intend to shove him off, leaning into him.]

Yeah, it's pretty nice out here huh? I bet we won't be able to come back, so we should probably make the most of it.

Most likely. It's surprising that this opportunity has come up at all...

[Had it not, they'd still be in Celadon and wouldn't have seen any one of them so early.]

Yeah, I'm not gonna question it though. [He shook his head and gave him a light tug.] Let's find the waterfall.

[Ah- yes.]

It is Tohjo Falls...

[He leaned into him a bit, then gave a tug.] Exactly. We should find them.

[He's going, he's going! There's no need to tug since Shino is moving of his own accord. Apart from the sound of the occasional wind picking up and rustling the trees, the sounds of the forest, it's quiet. There doesn't seem to be any sound of running water nearby. Time to move elsewhere.]

[It was mostly tugging because Obito got overexcited and hadn't actually let go, that's all.]

Were you asleep during the trip here?

[The ride was so windy, it's doubtful even Shino would be able to find his way back here. Upon arriving, he had spotted what looked to be a waterfall around this side though. There was a cave behind? Yeah, heading towards that rock face over there.]

[This time Obito was the one pulled, since he hadn't released him, but he was content enough with that.]

Yeah, it had been a pretty hard morning getting everyone settled to go and back in the pokeballs before we came.

I ask... because otherwise you would have known it is this way.

[Although they're already heading in that direction, he says it anyway because it's Shino.]

Normally I wouldn't think it that difficult to get them to return. [Then again... that fiery lizard thing.]

I don't like keeping them in them, and they were all turned loose at Olivine. They didn't go in the balls for weeks.

So they are unused to it...

I keep em out when I'm not traveling. I can't stand leaving them in the balls.

[They're not summons, but it's a wonder if it functions similar to some kind of space-time ninjutsu.]

None of mine have expressed any discomfort from it.

Yeah, but they don't grow or change in them. You didn't know? If you stick an egg in that way it won't hatch.

Do you mean to say that you feel it is like a... pause in growth?

[When not in use for various purposes, his kikaichu are relegated within him. Then again, his body houses them all and serves as a nest. They're free to live and die and move about still.]

[He nodded at that.] It's like some kind of stasis thing. It's no wonder caught pokemon are so bitter, if you think about it. I try to get mine out very day, if I can.

Caught Pokemon are taken from their natural environment... but they can adapt and learn to befriend their trainer.

[A companionship thing. What with whatever happened with dogs and the Inuzuka clan...]

They can, but not all do. I'm sure you've seen stuff on the network like that?

A Gyarados attempting to consume someone? Although it may partially be due to a change in temperament after evolving, I assume...

It can't be all of it. Pokemon still remember everything when they evolve.

None of mine have evolved yet, but I can see why.

Because they are essentially the same Pokemon. ["same"]
