[What's the point of getting a bunch of warm clothing if you're not going to use it? Dirk's wearing his coat from Jane and the hat from John, and if you could get him to take his hands out of his pockets you could see that he's wearing the gloves/mittens from Mom Lalonde.

Good luck getting him to take them off, though. Right now, he's just standing on the sidelines watching things, the spoilsport. A handful of snow down his collar would probably change that- if anyone can get close enough to manage it.]

[She may not be the stealthiest, but she IS going to lob a nicely made snowball his direction.]

[The problem about having his hands in his pockets is that it's obvious when he pulls them out to grab a handful of snow himself.]

[She's got a few already premade, so she's loading up one arm and hopping up to lob a few more at him while he's busy making that one.] Next time is right here!

[Dodging is harder when you're trying to prepare snowballs yourself- At least one of the shots will hit, on the shoulder or chest. As soon has he has his snowball made, he'll make a feint then throw it. As soon as the snowball has left his hands, he'll take off- time to get some distance and more ammo.]

[Moving to make a dodge at that snowball, Dirk taking off wasn't as planned. Letting out a little "hey!", Jane is taking a run back to duck behind her fort and start making more snowballs.]

[Her hiding wasn't in the plan, either! Dirk takes some time to stock up on snowballs. Once he's done with that, he'll start trying to sneak up on her fort from the side.]

Hey Dirk.

Guess who somehow got onto the roof and is about to shove some of this snow right on your head?]

[It couldn't possibly be Jake, could it?

Except it wouldn't be anyone else. Jake is not the sneakiest either, but attacks from above are not expected- so Dirk only has the time to glance up before he's getting a faceful of snow.]

[There's a reason Susan is waiting nearby, just in case her trainer does something dumb.

He looks like an excited puppy dog. If he had a tail, it'd be wagging.]

Hahah! Don't be such a wallflower, Dirk, join in the fun!

[Some of that got down his neck and it's cold and there is no way that Jake isn't going to pay for this. Dirk doesn't answer, just scoops up a handful of snow, packs it quickly, and throws it right at Jake's face, all as quickly as possbile.]

[Bulls-eye. Jake shakes his head and retaliates with a volley of snowballs!]

[Dirk, in the meantime, is dodging wherever possible, and continuing to aim his own snowballs right for Jake's face.]

[Nicki, Dave's Leafeon thinks this snow is awesome and at her trainer's instructions darting over it all nimble and quick. She zips past Dirk but there's no sign of said trainer. Where oh where is the red eyed Strider?

Hidden and waiting. Just waiting to see if you're going to be distracted or take the offered bait.]

[The nice thing about shades is that it's hard to tell where someone's looking when they wear them. Dirk's been taking ruthless advantage of that ever since he started being around other people.

He's definitely tracking Nicki at least a little, though, considering his head turns ever so slightly to follow her path.]

[And that's enough for Dave. He leans as he pulls his arm back and let's that snowball fly. Where is it coming from? Naturally, where you just shifted your attention away from. He's hoping to get the back of your neck.

Whether it hits or not, he's already moving snowball in hand and giving a little flash color as he attempts to get to a new spot unseen.]

[The back of Dirk's neck may not be possible, considering how curled into his coat Dirk is. His back certainly is, though.

The moment the snowball connects, he turns around and grabs a few handfulls of snow himself. Dave's going to have a harder time if he wants to hit him a second time.]

[A hit is good enough for Dave. He's on a mission and that's to see how post-scratched bro is in a snowball fight.

Oh he turned around. Beautiful. He creeps a bit closer and lets another one fly. But he gives himself away just a little, with a crunching sound in the snow.]

[The crunch gives it away, and all in an instant Dirk is ducking out of the way and moving toward the source of the sound. On autopilot, his hand reaches for a sword he doesn't have, before he simply keeps the snowball at the ready instead. As soon as he catches sight of Dave, he'll throw.]

[Snow. Fucking snow. It's cold and drippy and Sollux hates it with the ferocity of a thousand green suns, though really, that's how he feels about most aspects of the winter season. So, wearing a red and blue sweater that he got from Kanaya (underneath one extremely thick coat), there's a severely miffed-looking guy walking up next to Dirk now. He seems to be watching the carnage in absolute disinterest, and eventually decides that even talking to some random person with stupid glasses is better than watching this embarrassment to mankind.]

How long have they been going at this?

At least an hour.

[Dirk got dragged into it himself, at one point, but he didn't stay in for long enough to get completely covered in snow and soaked. It's only entertaining for so long.]

Pretty fuckin' juvenile. [He cracks his knuckles; not out of any desire to join the fray, of course, but because they were getting kind of cold out here. Even beneath Vanitas' awesome new gloves.] They'd better come inside soon, or someone's gonna freeze his ass off and give everyone else a cold.

It's winter. That's practically a requirement, as far as I'm aware.

I wouldn't know. Our winters consisted of maybe a five-degree drop in temperature, so it went from 'hell pit' to merely 'furnace'. [Shrug.]
