Summary: It's Rise's birthday. And with the Fourth Wall wackiness, she forgot to tell anyone. So here's a depressed Rise who now feels too awkward telling anyone.


Locked Prompt for Crocker

[Rise had found a bakery in the quieter part of Goldenrod. She was sitting at a table in the corner, surrounded by her Pokémon. Her Sylveon, Himiko, and her Umbreon, Chiisai, sat on either side of her, and a newly evolved Glaceon, Jin, laid beside Chiisai. Her ever present Meowstic, Nanako, was trying to cheer up her trainer by floating a burning candle and making it move in complicated patterns.

There was a very small smile on her face, though she still looked sad.]

[Rise's out and about town now, her usual smile very brittle. She'll nod to people she knows, but keeps walking, her Pokémon always at her side. If anyone pay attention, she's wearing a pair of black glasses, with small bands of color on the frames, a red Alice band, and a set of headphones around her neck. There's also a blue hat attached to a studded belt, buttons on the hat, and a random red rose attached to the band in her hair, and last, a black tie with barrettes attached. (Of course she's wearing clothes to match this look) These are not the usual things she wears, but items from her friends. She had wished for keepsakes from home, and they had been on her bed that morning.

At least something was going right today. Her thoughts are all over the place, so it'll be hard to get her attention.]

[She would object if it wasn't for the fact that she was the one treating Kairi on this date. Besides, you weren't supposed to pay for your own things on your birthday, right?

She nods and returns the smile.] That sounds great. We can eat it at the Dojo. Unless you have a hotel you want to stay at?

[She put the items already tried onto the floor for her Pokémon, leaving the curry that Kairi liked on the table.] Let's not let this go to waste.

Good idea. [Kairi takes another happy spoonful of her bowl.]

Is there anything else you wanted to do before we got your cake?

[She didn't want to impose on anything Rise had planned.]

[She thinks for a while. What did people usually do on dates? Well, food was one thing. She didn't feel like a movie right now.....]

How about we talk a nice walk around? I can show you around that way.

Sure! You can show me what it's like to live in Johto.

I think it's a lot like living in Japan. There's a lot of similarities.

[Aw. She does the same.] Goldenrod is like the city I used to work in called Tokyo. Huge buildings, lots of flashy stuff, and being able to pretty much find anything you need all in one place!

Japan? Is that the world you came from?

[dangerousidol]

Yeah. Well, it's a country in the world I'm from. Not the biggest, but not the smallest. The world is called Earth!

Earth. Like... the dirt?

[What a weird name. Why would you name your world like that?]

[dangerousidol]

... I guess so. I didn't name it. I think a really, really long time ago it was called Gaia or something.

That's a lot prettier, I wonder why it was changed.

[dangerousidol]

Uhm... I'm not too good with history and stuff, but I think Gaia was the name of a god or something. I guess they wanted a different name for it so they wouldn't offend anyone. [She paid some attention in class.]

Weird. [She chuckles, taking some of the last spoonfuls of her curry.]

[dangerousidol]

It is. I just don't think about it too much. [She drank some tea and took a deep breath.] Okay. I'm good to go. It's all paid for already~

Then take me on an adventure. [She grins happily.]

What kind of cool landmarks do we have here?

An adventure? [That's cute.] There's the Goldenrod Department Store. It's huge! I go up on the roof sometimes just for the view.

Sounds like our first stop.

[She gets up and looks down at her Pokémon.] Do you guys mind going back to the Dojo? I'll be back there sometime, okay?

[They all looked worried about her, but Nanako nodded. She led the others out of the restaurant to leave them alone.] There we go. Now we can have some privacy~

[Her cheeks darken and she averts her eyes.]

[She blinks and looks at the younger girl.] Kairi?

[paopuprincess]

Hm? [She smiles, taking her hand.] Ready to go?

[dangerousidol]

Uh... yeah. [She won't ask, instead leading Kairi outside.] It's really easy to find the store. It's the biggest building in the entire city.

Then it's not too far from here. [She smiles, spotting the tower a few blocks away.]
