Summary: It's Rise's birthday. And with the Fourth Wall wackiness, she forgot to tell anyone. So here's a depressed Rise who now feels too awkward telling anyone.


Locked Prompt for Crocker

[Rise had found a bakery in the quieter part of Goldenrod. She was sitting at a table in the corner, surrounded by her Pokémon. Her Sylveon, Himiko, and her Umbreon, Chiisai, sat on either side of her, and a newly evolved Glaceon, Jin, laid beside Chiisai. Her ever present Meowstic, Nanako, was trying to cheer up her trainer by floating a burning candle and making it move in complicated patterns.

There was a very small smile on her face, though she still looked sad.]

[Rise's out and about town now, her usual smile very brittle. She'll nod to people she knows, but keeps walking, her Pokémon always at her side. If anyone pay attention, she's wearing a pair of black glasses, with small bands of color on the frames, a red Alice band, and a set of headphones around her neck. There's also a blue hat attached to a studded belt, buttons on the hat, and a random red rose attached to the band in her hair, and last, a black tie with barrettes attached. (Of course she's wearing clothes to match this look) These are not the usual things she wears, but items from her friends. She had wished for keepsakes from home, and they had been on her bed that morning.

At least something was going right today. Her thoughts are all over the place, so it'll be hard to get her attention.]

I like taking trips to the beach. The Safari Zone is really fun too. I'm not even sure if training my pokemon counts as a hobby since it's what I do for my job.

Technically I train other people's pokemon. I help run the Training Center. I'm usually the first face you see when you walk in!

Things like curry, spicy sweet, that kind of stuff. Though I'll eat just about anything as long as it's not too sour or bitter.

It depends on where you get it. There's different types, like red, green, yellow, brown... red tends to be the hottest. Brown is a lot more common. It's got things like potatoes and meat, sometimes fish, in it. Served over rice... it's not fancy, but it's really filling. We can go find a place that has some here!

Sure. Sounds like fun. [She squeezes her hand, having just now noticed she was still holding it.]

[They've been holding hands for a while now. She glances around and notices people watching them. How to react to that... she'll move in closer towards Kairi.]

Since it'll be your first time eating curry, you should try it mild. Mild can be made sweet. It's creamy, too.

Of course. I know this place, after all~ [She manages to get up without letting go of Kairi's hand.] I already paid for everything, so we can just walk out. I think I have a rough idea of where to go.

[To make things awkward, Himiko will now attach herself to Kairi's other arm. For....... "protection".] This place is huge. It took me a week to really figure out the main layout. It's pretty basic now that I think about it, like Tokyo.

Yeah, I think Celadon is a lot like that too. It took me a little while to get the layout, but now I think I could run around with my eyes closed.

That's still a pretty long time. Did you have friends here from your world already?
