[Ho, ho, the mistletoe, hung where you can see! Somebody waits for you~

Okay, no, there's literally mistletoe EVERYWHERE in the doorways. Because Mom is a sneaky bitch. Beware, though, some of the Pokemon might take it upon themselves to move it around to cause mischief with their trainers!]

[Wow, Jane doesn't know why, but after all those spiked drinks, she keeps needing to mosey to the bathroom. Moving out into the party area again and yeah just going to stand in this doorway a minute, where are her legs..]

[Well, time to be a chivalrous gentleman. Dirk's had a spiked drink himself, but not nearly as many as Jane. Just enough that he doesn't pay attention to any foliage decorating the doorway.]

[Yeah, and Gamzee's just gonna waltz up to Jane and drape an arm around her shoulders.

He knows exactly where they're standing, that's why he's here.]

[Kanaya came up behind Jane, looking a tad bewildered at her evening, and hesitated as the girl was pretty much blocking the entire door. Under the mistletoe. Erm. Well maybe the other didn't know it was there. Not that she didn't like the human girl, she seemed nice enough really, but still. She needed to get by!]

[ Aradia's not sure what's wrong with Jane, but she will come up behind her and sort of put an arm around her waist to steady her, looking rather concerned. ]

[[You're drunk. Rose is drunk. There's mistletoe overhead. What better way to start a conversation?]]

Janey! [[Just coming up behind her and linking an arm in hers.]] Hey!

[ How the hell do you cross from one room to another without getting stuck under the mistletoe? Aradia's sort of edging around the sides so far, but who knows how long that'll work. Especially when attempting to edge in or out of the kitchen, where there is much jostling and activity. ]

[Having finally finished the last of his last minute gingerbread gift preparations, John is eager to escape the kitchen and enjoy the party a little. Unfortunately, he's in such a hurry and not really paying a whole lot of attention and accidentally collides with Aradia as she's coming and he's going.]

[Let's just be thankful he carrying giftbags, not a tray or this could have been truly disastrous.]

[Kanaya is moving from one room to the next, feeling rather relaxed now that someone had shown her the punch (not aware of what's in it), and not worrying so much about the mistletoe anymore. Because it's everywhere and pokemon are sneaky.]

[She manages to catch herself a moment before she would have walked into Aradia emerging from the next room, offering the shorter girl a bit of a smile. Oblivious to the fact that this doorway is just as mistletoed as all the others at this point.]

Oh, excuse me Aradia.

[Jake is not drunk somehow, but it'll be really easy to catch him underneath that devil plant somewhere.]

[GUESS WHO is still pretty buzzed and after uh. Almost getting her Poppop under that mistletoe (awkward..), she's finally found Jake this time. Liquid courage and all, she's going to make her way into catching him under that plant!!!]

[This was inevitable, really.

Of course, Dirk being Dirk, he's done his best to keep it from seeming that way. This totally was an accident- Dirk just happened to be coming through the same doorway as Jake. When they bump shoulders, Dirk glances over.]

[ Well he managed to run into his other travel partners, so why not go for a full set with the least awkward situation?

Good lord this place is packed. Aradia sort of edges backwards out of one room finishing another conversation there, and turns halfway into the other one - oh hello Jake. ]

[Dirk's been taking note of where the mistletoe is when he can, and has taken to avoiding those spots he knows it is. Not that he has anything against kissing in principle. He's done plenty of corpse-smooches at this point. He just doesn't want to get caught with a random person.

Not that he'll succeed, since eventually he gets distracted and stops paying attention to it.]

[Oh hell no. He's watching where that plant has been put and avoiding those spots. He glances up and keeps track of them. So when they start getting moved he knows something's up. Namely bored pokemon. But eventually he's under one without realizing it.]

[Since John has this nasty habit of not paying attention to what's going on around him half the time, he likely won't notice the mistletoe until he stands underneath a clump of it for too long and someone Jane decides to do something about that.]

[But once he's been made aware of the plant, he won't exactly try to avoid it but he won't linger under it either. He figures with everyone else avoiding it, he's probably safe. Only he's not. From time to time a certain mischievous Haunter might just move one of those pesky clumps over his master's head when he's standing still and not looking. Especially if he's standing next to someone else.]

[Gamzee sees nothing wrong with random makeouts, this is one human tradition he can totally get on board with. So he'll just be chilling in one of the doorways with no intents of moving out of the way until he gets a smooch.]

[It's really frustrating being in a house full of mistletoe and underage kids. Seriously, how many adults are even in this house? Not enough for Bro's taste. Avoiding any Hansen incidents is turning out to be really goddamn hard with all this mistletoe around.

[[Rose is a little tipsy, pretty happy, and distracted by all the hustle and bustle of the party. She hasn't dealt with Gamzee and Mom yet, so she's still in a great kissing mood, not that she's looking for chances to. Oh no, she's trying to avoid the mistletoe but...when you're busy watching how happy everyone is, you kind of don't notice that you're wandering under mistletoe laden doorways.

[Kanaya's a bit on the tired side after spending two days sewing non-stop, but she's noticed that there are pokemon moving the stupid kissing plant around, and as tired as she is that is strangely hilarious.]

[She just watched one carefully following after another partygoer with some, which is why she hasn't noticed that there is now mistletoe above her head as well...whoops...]
